The purpose of this master thesis is to study the correlation and meaning of current ideas and practice at the public library of Gothenburg. This was done by comparing the visions and ideas expressed by the library through the library plan, with how the daily practice looks. For the theoretical framework organizational theory is used and research data was collected both from public documents and through observations. The public library of Gothenburg were chosen for the study because of it's newly renovated facilities. The idea is that these facilities make a suitable study object of the current ideas and priorities of the public Swedish library in general.The results show that the public library practice in Sweden still rests on the original public library ideas such as offering information for free and treating every user as equal.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the term balanced collection in relation to Swedish laws and the democratic assignment. The Unesco Public Library Manifesto states that libraries are to formulate a policy defining objectives, priorities and services in relation to local community needs. The Swedish Libraries Act, paragraph 7, states that municipalities and counties shall adopt plans for library services. To fulfil our aim we will answer the following questions. By which terms is the democratic assignment visible in Swedish public libraries collection development policies? Is the term balanced collection used in Swedish public libraries collection development policies? If not, are there categories describing balanced collection? Do the terms in Swedish collection development policies differ to the six categories found by Farooq M.

The aim of this paper is to study the long-term effects of stuttering treatment according to the Lidcombe Program in Sweden and to answer questions whether underlying factors may have affected the treatment results. Participants were seven children, one girl and six boys aged 7:10-14:2, who all completed Stage 1 of the program approximately 2-7 years ago.The children were video recorded during a conversation with one of the authors and while reading aloud. Before the recording, their parents estimated the level of stuttering according to a Severity Range (SR) Scale. The evaluations were used as reference for determining whether the recordings were representative for the children´s current speech fluency. Proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) were calculated from the video recorded material and compared with the proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) at the time when the first stage of the program was initiated.The results showed that the Lidcombe Program had a significant (z=-2.37, p=0.02) long term effect on stuttering treatment for the participants in this study.

The daily travel, and especially travel between home and work i.e. commuting, is increasing every passing year. More than 90 000 people commute from their home municipality to work in Gothenburg. One of the aims of the regions of Västra Götaland and Halland is to interconnect municipalities and towns within the region, thereby creating growth, faster freight and passenger transports as well as a more attractive business climate. However, while the goal is to create growth, there are several municipalities in the study region with negative ongoing trends.

The aim of this thesis was to look to the organization of people through social media and the Internet. Our study was conducted with a current event in focus. We began our study by examine the protests that had arisen as a result of that the American proposed law called "Stop Online Piracy Act" (SOPA)was presented. With our main focus on SOPA we began to investigate those discussions and debates that during a limited period of time were conducted on a large social news site, Reddit.com, which is a form of social media. We focused on the way that people expressed themselves over social mediawhen it comes to political issues and also whether or not Internet activism can have an effect in the society.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka om DLS (diagnostiskt läs- och skrivprov) fungerar som ett redskap för att undersöka elevgruppers och enskilda elevers kunskapsnivå i svenskämnet. Undersökningen har genomförts med en elevgrupp om 73 elever i skolår 7 varpå statistik gjorts på deras resultat. Vidare har den genomförts genom att detaljgranska tre utvalda elevers resultat. Bland slutsatserna märks att DLS fungerar väl för specialpedagogen i dennes handledande roll gentemot ämneslärarna och att det även åtminstone vad gäller rättstavning och ordförståelse fungerar i den utredande rollen genom att resultatet nogsamt kan analyseras och ge en bild av en elevs färdigheter i svenskämnet. Läsförståelsetestet kan enligt undersökningen översiktligt ge en bild av enskilda elevers läs- och skrivsvårigheter men bör kompletteras för en djupare analys..

Den här uppsatsen är en kvalitativ analys om hur Stockholm stad har valt att använda sig utav eventkommunikation för att kommunicera ett budskap. Eftersom att event kan användas som strategi inom flera typer utav kommunikationsområden, används här begrepp som kan relatera till flera av dessa områden.För att komma i närmare kontakt med eventet har intervjuer genomförts med projektledaren och kommunikationsansvarig för Kulturnatt Stockholm. Genom textanalys, retorisk analys och innehållsanalys studeras intervjusvaren och en reklamaffisch som utformats för att marknadsföra eventet.Det kan konstateras att det utformade syftet för eventet går hand i hand med det kommunicerande budskapet och att Stockholms stads intressen kan återspeglas i reklamaffischen. .

Objective: In recent years there has been an increasing interest within the clinical (medical) science in measuring people?s health. When estimating quality of life, present practise is to use the EQ-5D questionnaire and an index which weighs the different questions. The question is what happens if the individuals estimate there own health, would it differ from the public preferences? The aim is to make a new prediction model based on the opinion of patients and compare it to the present model based on public preferences.Method: A sample of 362 patients with unstable coronary artery disease from the Frisc II trial, valued their quality of life in the acute phase and after 3, 6 and 12 months.

I denna uppsats analyseras Nancy Horans debutroman Kärleken till Frank med narratologiska begrepp. Analysen utgår från Gérard Genettes narratologiska system och är indelad i tre huvudområden; tempus, modus och röst. Syftet med uppsatsen är att, genom en strukturalistisk analys, öka förståelsen för romanen, dess berättarteknik och stil. Frågeställningar som behandlas är bland annat; Hur behandlar tid i berättelsen? Hur ser fokalisationen ut i romanen? Deltar berättaren som en karaktär i romanen, eller är den dold? Uppsatsen inriktar sig alltså på studiet av berättarkonsten, narrationen i Kärleken till Frank. .

Denna uppsats studerar naturens påverkan på karaktärerna i Tove Janssons böcker Trollvinter och Pappan och havet. Utifrån ekokritik och begreppen pastoralen och den vilda naturen presenteras hur denna påverkan gestaltar sig samt vilka följder den får. The objective of this study was to assess validity and reliability for five different owner-completed instruments evaluated to assess chronic musculoskeletal pain in cats. All of the instruments were questionnaires, three asking about behavioral changes, one about the degree of pain and one about quality of life. One of the instruments was written originally in Swedish, the other four instruments were translated into Swedish before use. Data available were records from 57 cats with no signs of pain and 11 cats with different pain-related diagnoses. The diagnoses were ensured by clinical examination including palpation and manipulation of joints, gait testing on a force-plate and X-ray scans. Instrument 1 was completed by 57 pain-free and 11 pain-affected cats.

I följande rapport behandlas en analys av Axel Larsson Maskinaffär ABs datanätverk. En modell av nätverket togs fram för att ligga som grund för resterande arbete. Dokumenteringsmetoden UML användes till de diagram som gjordes över nätverkets uppbyggnad. Datatrafiken i nätverket analyserade för att ta reda på bandbreddsanvändning vid normal och max belastning. Portspegling valdes som metod för att avlyssna nätverket och Wireshark användes som verktyg vid insamling och undersökning av data.Även befintlig IT-policy undersöktes och förslag till en ny arbetades fram tillsammans med riktlinjer för vad man bör tänka på vid framställning av en IT-policy.Resultatet av dataanalysen visade på att problemet som upplevts inte ligger i datanätverket utan i antingen servrar eller i CRM programmet Jeeves.Två förslag på IT-policy togs fram som redovisas i Appendix A..

Det finns en kedja till en bra välfärd. Alla individer har behov och önskningar. Dessa ska tillgodoses med de resurser som landet får genom sin årliga produktion av varor och tjänster, BNP. Hur resurserna ska fördelas är en politisk fråga. Det är svårt att mäta välfärd.

Syftet med studien var att ta reda pa? hur man kan fra?mja lek fo?r barn med autistiska symptom som bor pa? korttidsboenden. En kvalitativ intervjuunderso?kning gjordes med sex deltagare och analyserades sedan genom en tolkande fenomenologisk analys (IPA). Fyra huvudteman med tillho?rande tva? underteman var valdes ut.

Det här arbetet handlar om hur fyra utvalda revisorer från olika revisionsbyråer, bedömer disciplinärenden från Revisorsnämnden, som behandlar revisorns oberoende i yrkesrollen. I intervjuunderlaget för bedömningarna ges utrymme att, på en skala från ett till sju, värdera graden av förseelse i valda ärenden. Vidare har varje utvald revisor även kunnat kommentera sin bedömning. I arbetets teoriavsnitt redogör vi för agentteorin som ligger till grund för vår analys och vi presenterar lagar som Aktiebolagslagen, Revisorslagen samt normer utgivna av FAR (Föreningen för revisionsbyrå branschen). Det vi har kunnat se i vår analys är att värderingen av revisorernas oberoende varierar markant.
