The aim of this thesis is to accomplish an understanding on how librarians experience their professional role at private companies. The study is based on qualitative interviews with persons who have a degree in Library and Information science, but does not work as an ordinary librarian. To answer why the respondents work at private companies, this thesis dwells on how the education in library and information science prepares their students to face an alternative career; why the respondents wants to work at private firms instead of a library; if the salary is a key factor in order to choose a career; if the respondents think the companies appreciate their qualifications, and finally, if the respondents think they intrude on other professions' territory? Working at a private company, with a degree in library- and information science, is not, according to the respondents, easy. Although appreciated by their knowledge in the field of information, the interviewees think that the title librarian is hard to cope with.

This thesis is using the theory of participatory democracy to show how one can work to increase the participation in the society, between elections as well as during elections. For a couple of years now many traditional democratic countries have been struggling with low voting rates. Hence this, I find it interesting to study what has been done to cope with this problem. The government in Sweden had a project working on how to make more people involved in the democratic process, especially people that to a lesser extent participate in this process. In this thesis two projects will be studied, Möllevångsgruppen and Unga väljer Miljö i Malmö.

Background: Daily news reports of school violence, bullying and harassment are common. The school has developed into an arena which has been exposed into a growing unhealthyness. Paradoxically, financial resources decreases while demands on school staff increases. How does school staff and personal cope with these demands? Aim: We sought to study sense of coherence among school employees in two schools; a comparison between one health promotional school and one school in the process of working with health promotion.

Nathalia Edenmont is a controversial and uncompromising photo artist who has caused the whole world to rage over her obscene photographs. In this thesis I have researched Edenmonts artistry with help of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieus field analysis. By using Bourdieus's different field concepts I have researched Edenmonts artistic career by concepts such as habitus, consecration and different principles.The starting point of this research has been that Nathalia Edenmont is in the autonomous artistic field. I give examples of images that have been highly debated and I have collected information of how Edenmont sees her own images and her artistry. In this thesis I show amongst other things an example with Edenmonts photograph of dead rabbits with Elizabethan hair styling, cut up mice that work like finger puppets and children who are bound up in wire.Nathalia Edenmont autonomous artistry is deeply rooted in her background and the environment in which she was raised.

To reach health and wellbeing, despite a disease as rheumatoid arthritis, the patient needs help to manage and cope with his situation. The caregiver?s task is to give this support. The aim of this study was to illuminate how patients with rheumatoid arthritis experienced the relationship to the caregivers in the ?rheumatic-team?, and the participation in this team.

Sverige är indelat i kommuner och landsting, vilka på demokratin och den kommunala självstyrelsens grund sköter de angelägenheter som anges i kommunallagen. Dessa angelägenheter måste rymmas inom ramen för den kommunala kompetensen för att anses utgöra en kommu-nal angelägenhet. Denna uppsats har som syfte att undersöka denna kompetens och vilket rättsligt utrymme kommuner ges när de enligt 2 kap. 8 § 2 st. KL riktar individuellt stöd till enskilda näringsidkare.I uppsatsen används den traditionella rättsdogmatiska metoden.

Inom verkstadsindustrin förekommer processer och aktiviteter som är resurskrävande. Det här examensarbetet är förankrat inom Scanias transmissionstillverkning. Fokus låg på arbetsmetodiken för problemlösning vid skärande bearbetning. Scanias nuvarande problemlösningsmetoder har förbättringspotential med avseende på orsaksidentifiering, orsaksprioritering, kunskapssamordning, dokumentering och sökbarhet av resultat. Projektet inleddes med en nulägesanalys på hur verksamheten fungerar.

Syftet med denna studie är att skapa en djupare förståelse kring pedagogers arbete med språkutveckling och TAKK som metod. Vårt syfte är även att undersöka när och hur metoden används och i hur stor utsträckning detta sker. Vi använder oss av det sociokulturella perspektivet och av variationsteorin för att analysera vårt material. Studiens resultat är grundade på kvalitativa intervjuer tillsammans med en förskollärare, en barnskötare och en specialpedagog. Vår studie genomfördes i två olika städer i södra Skåne.

Andas är det första vi gör omedvetet, därför behöver vi inte lära oss andas. Från det första andetaget andas vi helt rätt. Senare i livet kan det gå snett i tekniken och då kan vi behöva medvetandegöra vår andning. I FMT-metoden (Funktionsinriktad musikterapi) finns redskap för att bearbeta andningen på ett effektivt och lustfyllt sätt.Lasse Hjelm (FMT-metodens grundare) betonar vikten av att andningen är inordnad i helhetsutvecklingen. För att nå optimal prestationsförmåga måste varje rörelse koordineras med andningen i en rytm.Syftet med detta examensarbete var att beskriva FMT-metoden samt göra en fördjupning i ämnet andning.

The purpose of this study is to investigate teachers? efforts to teach students with dyslexia in Swedish. The intention with this study is to get the right tools to work with these kinds of students in a more improved and giving way in the future. My questions of issue are:- How can teachers facilitate the learning process for students with dyslexia?- Are pupils with dyslexia included in the teachers? education in the classroom?- How do the other pupils integrate with the dyslexia pupils in the classroom?- How does the teacher manage the situation to teach the whole class at the same time as he/she helps the pupils with dyslexia?- How do you practice when to assess and rate the students with dyslexia?The method used in this paper is a combination of participant observation and interviews with two teachers and their classes.

LTG- metodens betydelse -Sex lärares syn på sitt arbete med läs- och skrivutveckling i skolår 1, ur ett LTG- perspektiv Angela Ekström och Åsa Gustavsson Vi har gjort en kvalitativ undersökning där datainsamling har skett genom intervjuer. Problemområdet har varit att ta reda på hur sex lärare ser på sitt arbete med läs- och skrivutveckling i skolår 1, ur ett LTG- perspektiv (läsning på talets grund). Vi tycker att det finns outforskade luckor inom läs- och skrivutvecklingsområdet, gällande lärarperspektivet. Enligt vår mening har lärare blivit bortglömda då koncentrationen mest riktats på eleverna. Med denna undersökning vill vi bidra till kunskapsutveckling när det gäller blivande lärares kompetens inom läs- och skrivutveckling.

Syftet med det här arbetet var att ta reda på hur teckenkommunikation kan användas i förskola för att underlätta språkutvecklingen för alla barn och pedagogernas inställning till metoden. Detta är en kvalitativ undersökning och vi använde oss av semistrukturerade intervjuer med nio stycken förskolpersonal. Det resultat vi kom fram till var att teckenkommunikation kan fungera som en alternativ metod i språkinlärning och att det fanns ett stort intresse hos respondenterna att använda sig av metoden..

Hösten 2005 inleddes ett större förändringsarbete på de kommunala skolorna i Trelleborgs kommun. Visionerna med projektet, som döpts till ?Spjutspetsskolan?, innebär ett nytt sätt att arbeta i skolan för både lärare, elever och föräldrar. Målet med projektet ?Spjutspetsskolan? är att minska det antal elever som går ut grundskolan med otillräckliga betyg.

The aim of this paper is to examine the experience of two Swedish women who survived the tsunami catastrophe in Thailand 2004. Through their biographies, Sävstam and Ernsth-Ohlsson have revealed their experiences, before, during and after the tsunami catastrophe. Coping theory is used to explain how they cope with the consequences of the tsunami catastrophe, and how culture affects the coping process. Pargament´s (1997) theories in coping are used to examine this paper. Pargament argues that the coping process is influenced by the culture context of the individual.

The aim of this study is to increase understanding about addiction recovery. More specifically, we want to know what people who have had problems with alcohol and/or other drugs perceive as helpful and important for their recovery process and how we can understand this process.The study was conducted by means of qualitative semi-structured interviews with four people who have had alcohol and/or other drug problems. The analysis is based on a transtheoretical model of change from addictive behaviours, coping, interactionist theories and also a recovery perspective, inspired by research on recovery from mental illness . Main findings are that recovery from addiction can be understood as an individual process that takes place in a social context and can follow expected phases, although there are large individual differences in the process. Through the recovery process it has been of importance to the participants in the study to redefine themselves and their problems, get support from others, find ways to cope with their problems, get involved in meaningful activities and to expand their social roles.
