The purpose of this essay was to find out if it is possible to:? Detect different groups of gender among children in grave materiel and church art and if that was the case, in what way?? What different groups of children can be seen in these two categories?? What does the material say about children's position in society? The time span is from early Christian time to 17-th century and the geographical region is Sweden and Denmark. I got my information from published literature and different pages on the Internet. The conclusions were that gender among children can be detected in both types of material but different groups were not ?visible? to the same degree.

The object of this study has been to establish how language is used to present and establish a person?s identity. The studied language usage is that of renowned author Selma Lagerlöf and the language studied is that of her personal correspondence. This language picture is placed alongside the public depiction of her and a comparison of sorts is made. My essay is an examination of the poet Mina Loy and two poems that are essential in her authorship, these poems also represents a thematic entrance to Loys life and literary concepts. I am aware of that this is not true history, but it is nevertheless interesting to ask oneself: Why are those people a part of the deuteronomical history? What was the meaning in telling the story in this way?Exegetes and researchers are trying to give the relationship between Jonathan and David a place in the political realm, but here I have used several sources to show that it is not only a political story, but a loveaffair, where Jonathan is pictured as a submissive woman and thereby excludes himself from the throne of Israel. David on the other hand, acts as the perfect man, who is in command in spite of his youth. He does not break the rules of the patriarchal society, where the relation between two men was accepted as long as the older one did not play the womans role.

Det syftar också till att ge förslag på hur en modern kyrkogård kan rekonstrueras samt skötas för att återspegla förhållandena under 1700-talet. Den valda kyrkogården är Hjortsberga i Ronneby församling.Dagens kyrkogård med klippta häckar och krattade grusgångar har en ca hundraårig historia. Före 1800-talet var den i huvudsak en anläggning med sparsam växtlighet som inte ägnades någon planering. Gräs var högvuxet och det hände även att kreatur betade innanför murarna.Arbetet bygger på litteratur- och arkivstudier såväl som intervjuer.

I dagens digitala mediesamhälle är det väldigt enkelt för människor att producera och dela med sig av bilder genom internet utan att tänka på vad en bild faktiskt är. Denna uppsatsen är en studie som undersöker tanken och färgvalen i bildskapandet. Undersökningen bygger på om man kan använda sig av gamla färgteorier från 1800-talet i digitalt bildskapande idag under 2000-talet. Med hjälp av Johann Wolfgang von Goethes färglära som publicerades i början av 1800-talet och gavs ut i en svensk version 1976 har vi kunnat genomföra en produktion genom att implementera dessa teorier och ställa dem i relation till dagens digitala bildskapande. Slutsatsen blev att dessa teorier fortfarande är relevanta på så sätt att man kan ta hjälp av dem om man vill förmedla vissa känslor som majoriteten kan uppfatta i sina bilder.

The timeless argument for studying science in school will begin this essay. After that the reader will be aware of when important discoveries in physics were made. Then school history is presented. In this part we are told when the first school started in Sweden, but the focus lies on the upper secondary school and the physics course.

The purpose of this science of Art History research paper is to find out the meaning of Cats in Art. I have limited my studies to the Nationalmuseums picture gallery and found forty paintings with cats. I have chosen sixteen of these to furthur analyze typographically and chronologically from a symbolic perspective. The forty paintings from the Nationalmuseum were created during four centuries, with the first being painted in the Sixteenth Century. I have studied the cats dimensional placement in the picture, if the cat is in an outdoor or indoor environment, with people and if the cat is active or passive.

In my thesis, I set out to study academic peer reviews in the hope of clarifying the experts? views on what qualities and qualifications are desirable when appointing or promoting scholars within History of Science. I also investigate whether or not these views change over the years, as I have studied opinions written between 1980 and 2010. I use a qualitative method of analysis, in which I study what words in the peer reviews are used to describe certain values, and how these words relate to the historical and political background of History of Science in Sweden. My research indicates that academic experts are starting to adapt their opinions to the change in educational politics that has taken place during the second half of the 20th century.
