Integrating Forward by Going E-commerce - A study of the Fashion Industry and the Development Phase of an Internet Establishment
The purpose of this thesis is to outline an appropriate model in order for companies to successfully act and compete physically as wholesalers at the same time as acting on the virtual market by selling directly to the end consumer. The approach of this thesis is hermeneutical and abductive with elements of hypothetically deductive approach. Our research has a qualitative research strategy based on case studies and interviews as well as on secondary data. Interviews were conducted with the case company JaymJay Wear AB as well as with other companies, so called mini cases. The secondary data consists mainly of textbooks, web sites and journals.

Campaign websites are a growing Internet based type of advertising, dependent upon the advertisement being actively pursued by consumers. The popularity of campaign websites stands in sharp contrast to the increasing advertising boredom among consumers often discussed in both public media and academic contexts. Despite the increasing importance of this kind of communication, little academic research has been conducted on the subject. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the value of campaign websites for advertisers and consumers. Through a quantitative web based field study combined with an exhaustive qualitative study, we can draw conclusions concerning campaign websites and contribute with a theoretical framework for this type of advertising.
Möten i Vården - Patienters upplevelser av personalens bemötande efter höft och knäprotesoperationer
Arbetet handlar om hur man som höft och knäopererad patient känner sig bemött på en ortopedisk vårdavdelning efter att ha fått en protes inopererad. Dessa operationer kan i efterförloppet vara mycket smärtsamma och behöver i regel lång rehabilitering, vilket ställer stora krav på personalens sätt att vårda och bemöta patienter i postoperativt skede.Syftet är att beskriva hur patienter efter höft och knäprotesoperationer upplever personalens bemötande på ortopedisk vårdavdelning.En litteraturstudie är gjord utifrån kvalitativa artiklar som har bearbetats och analyserats enligt Evans metod som utgångspunkt för ett deskriptivt resultat.Resultatet presenteras utifrån tre teman; Att känna sig bemött som en unik individ: som skildrar patienters upplevelser av hur personalen tillgodoser varje enskild patients behov. Att känna sig professionellt omhändertagen: beskriver hur patienter känner när de blir väl omhändertagna under sin postoperativa tid på avdelningen. Att känna sig förbisedd: beskriver att patienter känner sig försummade och negligerade under sin postoperativa tid på vårdavdelningen. För att patienter med höft och knäproteser skall uppleva vården som positiv diskuteras vikten av att sjuksköterskan ger god information till patienten, att hon får fortlöpande utbildning och att vårdpersonalen arbetar med etiska reflektioner..

The purpose was to describehow a person strategically can proceed to build an identity on the internet toget benefits in the job seeking process in the media industry and to describethe importance of the digital identity in the recruitment process in a smallertown. We?ve used a qualitative approach and made eight interviews withrecruiters from the media and also people who have built a digital identity.We?ve used Bauman?s theory about consumer society, Montoya?s eight lawsof personal branding and also theories about profiling, and communicationsplanning to analyze the material.

As a consequence of the deregulation, Swedish customers could start to freely choose between different electricity companies. Different enterprises have tried various strategies in order to shape their image to attract new customers; often focusing on an image revolving around price and environmental friendliness.The purpose of this essay has been to analyze customers? relations to the electricity market. In order to analyze customers? relations a quantitative study has been conducted; focusing on customer satisfaction and customer commitment.
Upplevelse och behov av stöd i ledarskapet-- en kvalitativ studie bland första linjens chefer
The aim of this study was to gain understanding and knowledge about first line manager?s need for support in their leadership and to get more insight into how they handle and perceives their work.The research method is based on studies of relevant theories and qualitative interviews. Eight respondents were interviewed with a structured 40 question questionnaire about how they experience their work and the support they get. The study shows that there are three important categories of people that are most significant to the managers in their need of support. They are their own manager, colleagues and co-workers.The conclusion is that it is important to create conditions for leaders to have good relationships with their closest manager, colleagues and co ?workers.
Red Bull : En studie om hur word of mouth och buzzmarknadsföring påverkar konsumenters attityder.
Purpose: The aim of this thesis is to examine how word of mouth and buzz marketing affects Uppsala´s businessstudents attitudes towards Red Bull. To solve this purpose we intend to answer some underlying questions.Theory: We have used relevant theories within word of mouth, buzz marketing and consumer behaviour. Our thesis will bring up the essential parts within these three different theories that we believe are relevant to our purpose.Method: In this thesis we have used both quantitative and qualitative methods such as interviews and questionnaires. The questionnaires will be handed out at Economicum at Uppsala University.Empirical study: This part is based on our questionnaires handed out to business students at Economicum, but also on our interviews made with employees working for Red Bull.Conclusion: Our empirical study has given us a clear picture of how Red Bull works and use marketing tools to promote their product. Through our questionnaires we have also found out what attitudes consumers has against the brand and the product.

Printed newspapers are on the decline, while digital versions are in rapid growth. Consequently the industry must draw up new business models around the digital format - models that can produce revenue streams equivalent to those that the print format used to produce. However, after a decade of 'free' online news, consumers now hesitate to pay. In their struggle for survival, strategic pricing is a central issue for newspapers. This study aims at describing how Swedish newspapers price their digital content, by analyzing their pricing processes and five factors that may influence the choice of paywall and price levels.
Patienters upplevelser av att vårdas en längre tid på sjukhus
SAMMANFATTNINGIntroduktion: Utvecklingen inom somatisk slutenvård har under de senaste decennierna gått mot kortare vårdtider. En del patienter på sjukhus vårdas under betydligt längre tid än genomsnittet. Detta skulle kunna leda till fysiskt lidande för patienten, en känsla av hopplöshet på grund av ovisshet gällande sjukdomsförlopp och vårdtidens längd, saknad av familj, en längtan tillbaka till arbetslivet och övrigt socialt liv. Få studier inom medicinsk slutenvård har undersökt patienters upplevelser av att vårdas länge på sjukhus. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva patienters upplevelser av att vårdas mer är 40 dagar på sjukhus.

This report covers the thesis done by mechanical engineering at the engineering program at the University of Halmstad. Student Work Development of packaging in the food industry includes 15 credits and has performed over 20 weeks in spring 2009. The thesis work is a compulsory part of education and aimed at the student must apply the knowledge it has given during training in a project related to reality. Student work has been carried out in cooperation with Hanson & Möhringen AB and the project's main objective was to develop an environmentally friendly packaging to their brand Falk Salt. When salt is one of the world's cheapest commodity was packing all the costs have to be as low as possible.

Skönhet kommer från Photoshop - En studie om effekter av retuscherade modeller i reklam
There are widespread discussions about the use of retouched models in media, ranging from bloggers to legal decision-makers. Research shows that there are negative psychological effects on especially females being exposed to idealized, retouched model images. The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of using retouched models in advertising from a marketing perspective, based on attitudes, perceived quality and purchase intentions.Based on theories about attractiveness, halo-effects and social comparison, an experimental study was done, investigating the different responses on above mentioned parameters to advertisements showing either retouched model images or non-retouched model images. Initially it was also tested if the retouched models were seen as more attractive than the non-retouched models. The results showed almost no differences between the reactions to the advertisements with retouched models compared to the advertisements with non-retouched models, when all respondent groups were analyzed together.
Närståendes skattningar av vårdkvaliteten på en intensivvårdsavdelning
Sammanfattning Syftet med studien var att värdera närståendes skattning av vårdkvaliteten på en intensivvårdsavdelning med hjälp av frågeformuläret KUPP (Kvalitet Ur Patientens Perspektiv). Antalet respondenter uppgick till 33 personer (10 män och 23 kvinnor) som valdes konsekutivt. Designen var en deskriptiv och komparativ studie med kvantitativ ansats. Den före detta intensivvårdspatienten vårdades på avdelningen 24 timmar eller mer. Resultatet visade att närstående skattade balans i vårdkvaliteten inom frågor som belyste vilken vårdutrustning som fanns tillgänglig, patientens medicinska vård, sjuksköterskors och undersköterskors engagemang, sjuksköterskors och undersköterskors empatiska och personliga förhållningssätt samt hela personalgruppens respekt i bemötandet av patienten. Bemötandet av släkt och vänner värderades också högt. Bristande vårdkvalitet skattades inom frågor som belyste information efter åtgärder, information om patientens vårdförlopp och vilken person som var ansvarig för patientens vård. Vissa intensivvårdsspecifika frågor som belyste möjligheten att få diskutera med personalen om otrygghet, mardrömmar och slem i luftvägar skattades som bristande vårdkvalitet.

Poverty among children has received a great deal of attention in the media the past few years. The group in which poverty among children has increased most is among single parents; therefore we have chosen to examine this group in this study. The purpose of this study is to take part in single parents and their children?s experiences of living within a very tight budget and the strategies they use. We found it interesting to put this information in relationship to the consumer society we live in today.
