The aim of this essay is to problematize the role of living support in a group home and to examine staff reflections about the users' opportunities for and possibly limits to self determination and, in addition to this, how they work towards supporting this right. The study is conducted through seven semi-structured qualitative interviews. The theoretical points of departure are theories of empowerment and paternalism. We have analysed the study results from the vantage point of these theories. The results are consistent with earlier research showing lack of guidance for supporters and also a lack of common approach towards users..

Along with the development of technology, the cross-border trade is increasing and therefore there is a need for greater consumer protection. A good consumer protection creates a feeling of safety for the consumer and that by itself may help to increase cross-border trade. This is one of the reasons for why the EU has established regulatory framework for electronic commerce, for example the Directive2000/31/EC. The direc-tive strives to create a similar law for electronic commerce within the European Union. This paper?s main purpose is to ensure that the directive is implemented properly in Swedish law, and if there are other possible ways to achieve the objective, other than the ones that the Swedish legislator has chosen.

The thesis also has two sub-purposes: firstly, chart the supply of IP-telephony services and secondly, discuss what IP-telephony services that are requested by today?s customers in the future.

Förtroendearbetstid - Heaven or Hell? : en fallstudie på TeliaSonera

Syfte: Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka om friare medarbetarskap, så som exempelvis TeliaSoneras arbetssätt med förtroendearbetstid, är en god väg att gå för att styra framtidens organisationer. Vi vill undersöka om det utgör ett hot eller en möjlighet för ledarna, medarbetarna och för företaget i sig att arbeta på ett sådant sätt. Vi ställer oss även frågan vad som krävs av ledarskapet i organisationer, då man arbetar med ett mer självständigt arbetssätt och om det är så självständigt som det vill ge sken av eller om det finns osynlig och subtil styrning bakom det hela. TeliaSonera utvecklas ständigt och genomför löpande organisationsförändringar, så vi vill även undersöka hur det påverkar arbetssättet och dess utveckling.Metod: Vi har valt att genomföra en kvalitativ fallstudie som baserats på ett flertal intervjuer samt en observationsstudie. Informationen vi samlat under intervjuerna och observationsstudien ligger till grund för den empiriska delen av arbetet.

Färdtjänst ur brukarnas synvinkel. Perspektiv på beroende, oberoende och tillit

This study concerns paratransit service in a relatively small municipality in Sweden. The aim of this study is to describe the user's experience of paratransit service. The question formulation is mainly built around the user's experience of paratransit service and their view on what impact paratransit service has on their lives. The empirical data consists of ten interviews with ten different paratransit service users with ages ranging from 25-95 years. The data has mainly been analyzed through concepts of independence, empowerment and trust. The result of this study shows that paratransit service in many ways can be described as a crucial part of the users' lives.

The purpose of this media scientific study is to contribute to a better understanding about how blind people?s empowerment and participation may affect their role in the digital society.Earlier international studies in this area have shown that blind people not only need more knowledge then the seeing population about the computer, but also about the technology behind their tools for using Internet. The results from these studies have also shown that Internet increases the blind people?s independents and that those who use Internet feel more involved in the society.A qualitative method was chosen to study the three most common categories from the earlier studies: knowledge of technology, empowerment and participation. Are there differences in the results compared to our study in Sweden 2014?Interviews with eight blind, experienced computer users have shown that knowledge of technology is essential for their use of Internet and that the Internet increases their empowerment and their participation.

Socialt arbete med prostitution : En studie sett ur ett stigmatiserings- och empowerment perspektiv

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur välfärdsaktörer i olika organisationer upplever de prostituerades livssituation och hur dessa aktörer bedriver empowerment inspirerat socialt arbete i relation till prostituerade som själva anser att de av egen fri vilja säljer sexuella tjänster.De frågeställningar som används i uppsatsen för att besvara studiens syfte är: På vilket sätt kommer empowerment till uttryck i arbetet med prostitution inom de verksamheter aktörerna företräder? Hur upplever välfärdsaktörer i olika organisationer de prostituerades position i samhället? På vilket sätt skulle empowerment inspirerat arbete kunna användas i verksamheterna i arbetet med individer som själva anser att de av egen fri vilja säljer sexuella tjänster?De teoretiska ansatserna som studien vilar på är utifrån ett socailkonstruktivistiskt synsätt med inrikting mot empowerment och stigmatiserings teori. Teori samt tidigare forskning har inhämtats via litteraturstudier och sökning i databaser. Det empiriska materialet har inhämtats via halvstrukturerade livssvärldsintervjuer samt frågeformulär grundade på intervjuguiden. Analysen av materialet har gjorts med hjälp av meningsanalys där tre huvudteman används vid kodningen av materialet; makt, stigmatisering samt empowerment.
