The purpose of this study was to explore how interpersonal relationship can be affected by groing up in a New Religoius Movement such as Jehovah?s Withnesses and how it has affected them both in their youth and today. The aim was also to explore if there were people in the respondents' environment that was significant to them during their childhood and which support our respondents have received if they were in need of it.We have not found any previous research on children's social relationships within the Jehovah's Witnesses. We therefore believe that this study is of high relevance to both society and also for all the professionals who come into contact with these children. To discover a child in need, knowledge about how their social environment looks like is crucial.

BakgrundAttention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) hos vuxna a?r en neuropsykiatrisk diagnos som ofta bemo?ts med misstro trots att tre till fyra procent av den vuxna befolkningen i Sverige bera?knas leva med diagnosen. ADHD pa?verkar ma?nga aspekter av det dagliga livet och kan problematisera sociala relationer, utbildning, arbetsliv, ekonomi och ha?lsa. Fo?rsta?else fo?r individens funktionella fo?rma?ga a?r ett no?dva?ndigt verktyg fo?r sjuksko?terskan i omva?rdnadsarbetet.

Bakgrund: Fysisk aktivitet har i studier kopplats till lindring av psykiska symtom som depression, oro, ångest samt en ökning av självupplevd livskvalitet. Vid insjuknande i psykossjukdom är det vanligt att drabbas av just ångest och depression. Dessa symtom i kombination med biverkningar från läkemedel ökar risken för en mindre hälsosam livsstil och fysisk inaktivitet, vilket kan leda till en ond cirkel och allt sämre fysisk och psykisk hälsa.Syfte: Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka om det finns några skillnader mellan fysiskt hög- och lågaktiva personer med psykossjukdom avseende livskvalitet samt förekomst av depression och ångest. Syftet med studien var även att undersöka hur deltagarnas motionsvanor ser ut när det befinner sig på en sluten psykiatrisk vårdavdelning.Metod: Föreliggande studie är en kvantitativ tvärsnittsstudie. En enkät bestående av demografiska frågor, två skalor om fysisk aktivitet, en fråga om motionsform, en ångest- och depressionsskala samt en skala om livskvalitet, delades ut.

The aim of this study is to describe, from a didactic point of view, wether gender norms are challenged and sex equality is maintained when two teachers in grade one communicate with their pupils. This is based on the existing norms in our society which generates into certain expectations of how one should act depending on wether you are a girl or a boy. In addition to this, the lack of equality between women and men is a global question. The norms and conditions in society are reproduced, but can also be deconstructed in school (Martinsson and Reimers 2008, p. 8).

ABSTRACTBackground: The incidence of type 2 diabetes is increasing worldwide. Early intervention in form of medication, advice on self-management and lifestyle changes is necessary to avoid complications. Few Swedish studies are made on the diabetes nurse?s views on promotion of self- management.Purpose: To examine the diabetes specialist nurse?s experience of promoting self-management to patients with type 2 diabetes in primary care.  Method: A qualitative explorative study where eight diabetes nurses were interviewed. The interview guide consisted of semistructed questions concerning the promotion of self-management.Results: The diabetes nurse?s role in promoting patient self-management is significant, if resources are available in the form of adequate time for the patient and good team work.

This thesis deals with information provision to the knowledge intense biotechnology businesses of Ideon Science Park in Lund, Sweden. Previous research concerning the information needs of Science Park companies has been conducted from the information provider s perspective. Instead, we apply a user perspective to find out what information needs these companies have, and how they prefer to acquire information. Central terms are: information, -needs, -acquisition, -consciousness, -strategy, small and medium sized enterprises, scientists and engineers, information (resources) management, networks, tacit knowledge, knowledge transfer and innovative milieux. The companies need scientific and business information; the latter is easily obtained within Ideon.

For the last ten years Internet has become more popular and is now used by most Swedes every day.  Internet has made it possible for many people to access a great deal of information about news all day long. Internet has also made it possible for people to create their own news and comment on happenings as they are taking place. One way to do this is to start your own blog, which is a kind of diary where you can publish your own thoughts about politics and news.In Sweden the media is often referred to as the third governmental power since the media is examining the government and people in power positions and bringing the people as consumers of news closer to the government. There is a theory called agenda setting that says that the media is an actor that shapes the political issues discussed by the people and politicians.In this essay I have used the agenda setting theory and linked it together with the Medias references to blogs in their news. This I have done to see if the media might be influenced by blogs.

The last century, forest fires have decreased in frequency due to efficient fire-suppression along with the growth of the industrial forestry. Since 1990, fire has been reintroduced under controlled forms to recreate burnt habitats. Many species that are dependent on, or benefits from, forest fires have increased since fire was reintroduced. The importance of connectivity is often addressed in ecological research. This is particularly important for species dependent on short-lived habitats such as burnt forests.

Introduction: To become acute ill and to be forced to seek treatment involves a difficult but also a vulnerable time for the individual. This acquires a good relationship between the nurse and the patient. At a surgical emergency ward patients with different diagnoses and trauma are treated. What distinguishes this specific type of ward is that care often occurs in a rapid rate and as a patient the environment may be experienced as stressed. The relationship with the nurse at the ward establishes a foundation for how the patient experiences the health care.

Syfte: Att undersöka hur det kan vara att växa upp med en bror eller syster med diagnosen adhd, hur livssituationen/syskonskapet hanterats, samt hur de har påverkats och hur det eventuellt fortsätter att påverka dem i vuxenlivet. Syftet var även att undersöka syskonens upplevelser och behov av socialt stöd under uppväxten.Frågeställningar:? Vilka upplevelser finns hos personer som vuxit upp med ett syskon med adhd?? Hur upplever syskon att de har påverkats av att växa upp med en bror eller syster med adhd?? Hur har syskonskapet hanterats?? I vilken utsträckning finns det behov av socialt stöd under uppväxten för syskon till barn med adhd?Metod: Studien är kvalitativ och bygger på intervjuer med åtta personer som vuxit upp med ett eller flera syskon med diagnosen adhd. Intervjupersonerna består av både kvinnor och män i åldrarna 17- 29 år. Resultat: Resultatet visade att samtliga syskon upplevt att syskonrelationen och familjesituationen innehållit mycket bråk som enligt intervjupersonerna var mer än vanligt syskonbråk.

Abstract Children with neuropsychiatric disorders often require special arrangements from the society. These measures could target the child itself, its parents, or other parts of the social network surrounding the child. Parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders are often deeply engaged both in their child and in these measures.Three parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and four counselors in different habilitation centers, were interviewed. The purpose of this qualitative interview study was to describe the methods with which the counselors worked to support parents of children with neuropsychiatric disorders, and to understand how the parents experienced this support offered by the counselors.The qualitative interviews with counselors and parents followed a thematic interview guide. A structured interview form was used.

Abstract Students' questions play an important role in both teaching and learning science. However, in a traditional classroom, the teacher is the center of attention and poses questions to which students answer. The students seldom ask questions to which the teacher responds. The purpose of this paper is to examine teachers' attitudes towards student questions. This paper will also explore teachers? views on the issues related to students? questions for science education.

Bakgrund: PMDS är en relativt okänd diagnos. Det är en progression av Premenstruellt syndrom (PMS) men allvarligare och är ibland invalidiserande för den som lider utav det. Prevalensen av PMDS är cirka fem procent av alla fertila kvinnor.Syfte: Syftet var att undersöka hur kvinnor med diagnosen PMDS upplevde hur det är att leva med diagnosen, vilken behandling de provat samt bemötandet som de fått i kontakt med vården.Metod: För att kunna besvara syftet så valdes en kvalitativ studie i form av intervjuer. Detta för att få en utökad förståelse kring PMDS och vad sjukdomen innebär. Intervjuerna var semistrukturerade och sju kvinnor inkluderades i studien.

AbstractThis master thesis is a hermeneutic inspired case study of how the value base regarding the environmental and social responsibility in the Swedish coffee company Löfbergs Lila AB is affecting the company's business. A thesis inspired by hermeneutics means that it is based on two ideas, the one of interaction between entirety and partitions and the one of interpretation (Alvesson & Sköldberg 1994). This cause that the emphasis is on how the reality is interpreted and that it never can be seen as completely objective.The case study was conducted during the spring semester of 2010 at Karlstad's University and consists of both empirical and theoretical material collected during this time. The empirical material in this thesis includes, among other things, interviews with four representatives of Löfbergs Lila AB, written material from the company regarding its work related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), some information about the coffee industry as a whole and different certifications for "ethical? coffee that exists on the Swedish market.The basic idea with CSR as a business strategy is that it can be financially beneficial for companies to take a social and environmental responsibility outside of the company (Vogel 2005).
