Since the spring 2003 the tenant-owner home association the Terrace in Upplands Väsby municipality lies straight under the approach route to Arlanda Airport?s new third landing chute. Noise levels of over 70 dB have been measured in the area, which exceeds National Board of Housing?s, values for traffic noise at a terrace in connection to housing. By using the method of hedonisk pricing the essay tries to find out if there exists a willingness to pay to reduce the noise in the area.

Trönninge som är ett litet samhälle norr om Varberg har stor potential att växa eftersom det kan erbjuda ett lugnt boende nära natur och med ett cykelavstånd till Varberg centrum. Samhället har fina naturområden och en rik kulturhistoria men saknar ett livfullt centrum och en tydlig mötesplats. Varberg växer i en snabb takt vilket ökar intresset för att exploatera samhällen i närheten av staden.

In a world where conditionscan change as often as daily, being well prepared increases the opportunities to stayflexible and decrease negative effects of the changes.This study has been done in association with Skanska Foundations district North inStockholm in order to investigate how visual planning can be used in the productionmanagement to optimize the coordination and the quality.The history of Lean started at Toyota, but the concept are now spread over theworld and are used wide outside of the car industry nowadays. What?s challengingabout Lean in foundation projects is to embrace a long-term perspective and invest insolutions that are profitable in the longer term, instead of solve problems by onlytreating the symptoms.A holistic perspective is crucial in order to truly understand Lean.

My thesis is a combination of theory and practice, where theory is meant to create a context and a background for my interpretation proposal. I wanted to ?access? the ideas that are always in the background of the reasoning which underlies both planning in a larger scale, and the design of a place. I wanted to make a ?work of ideas.? In the process of shaping the proposal, I wanted to be deleted from the site itself.

Freshwater environments are threatened worldwide, of which many of the species associatedwith freshwater. In 2014, 243 freshwater mussels were on the international Red List. One ofthem is the freshwater pearl mussel, Margaritifera margaritifera, which because of itscomplex life cycle can be counted as an indicator of whether a stream is worth protecting. It's since the early 1900's in decline throughout their range. Sweden is counted as a core area which is why we have not only a national but an international responsibility to conserve the species.

The purpose of this degree project is to give an overview of the planning system of four Swedish forest companies. The involved companies are ATA TIMBER, SYDVED, BERGS SKOG and VIDA SKOG. The study is based on information from a literature study and by interviews with personals from the four companies. Each company is described to get a better insight of the companies work and what potential they have. The description of the planning process comes after that. The companies are described separate from each other and will be compared later in this essay.

Unlike the manufacturing industry, the construction industry is always in motion. Each new construction project brings new opportunities, and it requires a new plan, new organisation, and new suppliers. All construction projects are very different from each other and in terms of a logistical perspective, this is very weak as it makes it difficult to get a flow in the production and to make flawless routines. The way the external and internal logistics are managed, can effect the final product in the time taken to produce it, the quality of the product and the profit made from it. When internal logistics are handled poorly, it could result in materials not being at the right place at the right time, or information not going through to the right person.

För nyinflyttade och besökare styr stadens orienterbarhet vad vi upplever genom att stadens platser är olika lätta att hittat. Hur vi upplever staden påverkas av i vilken mån vi förstår dess uppbyggnad och känner oss välkomnade. Men även alla som länge bott i staden har glädje av att den är logiskt strukturerad. Om vi kan röra oss på ett effektivt sätt kan vi snabbare uträtta ärenden. En tydlig bild av omgivningen är en förutsättning för att ge hemstaden betydelse, och det är en grund för känslan av gemenskap och samhörighet i staden.

Sammanfattning Landskrona kommun och stad växer. Inflyttningstakten har ökat stadigt och befolkningen i kommunen beräknas öka med cirka 3300 invånare till 2015. Det har under en tid byggts många nya enfamiljshus utanför Landskrona stad. I direkt anslutning till Landskrona har det börjat bli en brist på tillgänglig mark för nyexploateringar. När den nya järnvägsstationen anlades, lokaliserades den till den östra stadsgränsen och det är utifrån denna station som nya stadsbyggnads- planer har utgått. Detta kan fungera bra men innebär ett stort avstånd till Landskronas befintliga centrum. Ett område som fortfarande är intressant för nybyggnation är Väster industriområde. Detta är ett stort verksamhetsområde beläget direkt söder om Landskrona centrum. Med en effektivare funktionsindelning och omorganisation bör det vara möjligt att bebygga området med mellan 1000-2000 nya bostäder.

There are numerous questions to be asked when your task is to plan a small community?s future development. Is it possible to suggest something new and modern? What considerations should be taken concerning the existing situation? What is an appropriate size for the new development? Where is it possible to build and what is the most appropriate method to use?In this master´s thesis I have tried to develop and describe a working-process where I execute a complete landscape character analysis for the whole community in question to get the answers to where and how it would be most appropriate to develop a village like Flädie without destroying its current character.Flädie is a typical small village in the countryside of Skåne, Sweden. It is strongly effected by the expansive and urban region it?s located in but is still rural in character.

Our interest about interdisciplinary teaching has grown during our time at Högskolan Dalarna and especially during the subject physical education. It became clear that people learn in different ways. The theoretical education in school benefits the visual and auditory strong learners but the kinesthetic strong learners find it more difficult to absorb the information. We argue that integrating subjects is a good way to mix theory and practice and thus gives more students an opportunity to learn the content of the subject. The intention of this examination paper is to investigate the relationship between the attitudes of the teachers regarding interdisciplinary teaching, the practical restrains, possibilities and the presence of interdisciplinary teaching at three different schools.

Tidigare har människan skyddat sig från översvämningar med hjälp av tekniska strukturer som vallar och barriärer. De senaste 10-20 åren har det i flera europeiska länder skett ett skifte från dessa tekniska lösningar mot ett ?mjukare? handlingssätt för att förebygga och hantera översvämningar i policydokument och rekommendationer från ansvariga myndigheter.

To thoroughly think with safety and security in mind is an important issue in planning of public city spaces. Spaces intended to be available to all inhabitants of a city should have a welcoming appearance. Unfortu-nately, this is not the situation in many pedestrian walkways, parks and such spaces, possibly due to lack in safety and security. This master thesis intend to examine questions at this issue ? what makes you feel safe and what causes insecurity in public city spaces. The safety aspect treats the human psychological and sociological ways of perceiving her milieu and other humans in it, and how the physical shape of her surroundings can affect the sense of safety.

Today there are a big need for a system that delivers overview of all available units for different municipalities and shipping- and security companies due to the increasing requirements for efficiency. The purpose with this graduation thesis is to find out which systems that is suitable to use while developing cost-effective software for positioning and to produce a prototype for such solution.This assignment has been done at the request of PocketMobile Communications AB. PocketMobile is a company that are specialized on delivering modern mobile software solutions and systems to companies with their own vehicle fleet or mobile workers.This master thesis can be split into two separate parts, the theoretic- and the practical part.The theoretic part includes producing a number of functional requirements in cooperation with PocketMobile and comparing the available systems against the function requirements.The practical part deal with the development of a prototype that demonstrates the software recommended. The development tools that best matched the functionality requirements when the selection was made in May 2007 were Map24 and OpenLayers. The system that was selected to use while developing the prototype was Map24, because this product matches all of the requirements and it is also suited for professional usage regarding support, scalability and reliability.

Sveriges demografiska utveckling visar att fler och fler bor i tätorter samtidigt som resandet ökar. Det skapar efterfrågan på bostäder i tätorter med god tillgång till kommunikationer. Boende nära kollektivtrafiknoder ger god tillgång till transporter samt möjlighet för god service, men en av dess baksidor är buller. Bostäder i tätorter planeras genom detaljplaner. Kommunen är ansvarig för planeringen samt att ta andra aktörers åsikter i beaktning.
