För att åstadkomma ett effektivt utvecklingsarbete är det av yttersta vikt att undersöka vilka faktorer som leder till stärkt kvinnlig egenmakt. Med hjälp av ekonometrisk analys jämför denna uppsats kvinnlig egenmakt i Rwanda år 2000 respektive 2010. Trots Rwandas omfattande ekonomiska och jämställdhetsfrämjande reformer kan denna uppsats inte visa på mer än marginella ökningar vad gäller kvinnlig egenmakt. Ökningen hittas endast för kvinnor med hög utbildning. I linje med tidigare forskning indikerar resultatet att Rwandas utveckling i många avseenden främst verkar ha gynnat en mer privilegierad minoritet.

Med tankar från pedagogen Montessori och filosoferna Platon och Baudrillard har detta arbete behandlat frågor om datorn och dess betydelse för en grafiker. Frågeställningen formulerades efter hand och lydde tillslut: ?Hur kan materia te sig i digital form?? Forskningen resulterade i en hypotes för hur digital materia skulle födas i datorn: genom att blanda två uppsättningar av data, såsom två genuppsättningar tillsammans skapar en ny organism. Under produktionen utvecklades därmed en metod för hur en grafiker ska kunna skapa tillsammans med en dator. Syftet är att ge andra grafiker ett nytt sätt att se på digital grafik.

Kreativitet och kulturella produkter får allt större betydelse i tillväxtekonomin. Det som skiljer den kulturella industri från andra, är bland annat den kreativa medarbetaren som känner ett stort intresse för det den arbetar med. Den kreativa medarbetaren har egna visioner och mål som denne strävar efter vilket kan uppfattas vara ett problem för företaget att leda medarbetaren i samma riktning som företagets visioner och mål. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka hur den kreativa medarbetaren leds samtidigt som dennes kreativitet bibehålls. Vi har tagit fram en modell som behandlar samverkan mellan ledarens påverkan på vision och uppfattad kreativitetsmiljö, organisationskultur och den kreativa medarbetaren.

IT-användandet i byggbranschen har banat väg för nya, effektivare arbetssätt och det finns visioner om hur det ska fungera. Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att ta reda på byggbranschens användande av, och vision om BIM. Vad är BIM ? Building Information Model?Kort beskrivet är BIM en modell där all information för ett byggprojekts hela livscykel kan hanteras. BIM förenklar det fortlöpande arbetet genom hela byggprocessen genom att tillhandahålla information om projektet som är relevant, uppdaterad, integrerad, fullt koordinerad och av hög kvalité.

The elevated level of testosterone often leads to problem with acne and hirsutism, and it is also common with overweight and metabolic syndrome. The nutrition treatment has mainly consisted of energy restriction, together with exercise and drugs to reduce insulin resistance and consequently reduce androgen levels. However, an in-depth knowledge about how the components of our diet can affect further, is lacking.Omega-3-fatty acids can affect insulin resistance and testosterone levels within other groups but today knowledge is lacking if these findings can be transferred to women with PCOS.

Problem: This report concerns how the students of Södertörn högskola values physical papers. Even though technology have made it possible to digitalise documents, students today print and copy documents more then ever before. It will examine what the students finds valuable in physical papers and why they choose to print a document they just as well could read and manipulate via a computer.Method: This report consists of an empiric study, in form of a web poll and of a number of interviews. Furthermore earlier studies on the matter will be taking in consideration during the analysis.Results: The study shows that the students of Södertörns högskola values physical papers highly. The students choose to print a document since they find that it is easier to read, to make notes and that a printed document is easier to use on the move, rather then using a computer..

Studiens syfte är att presentera en vision om en återbruksby i form av planskisser och illustrationer. Studien ska också förklara samhällsnyttan och syftet med en återbruksby. En återbruksby (även kallad kretsloppspark) är ett område för hantering av återbrukbara material och produkter. Dagsläget för hur avfall hanteras och framtida planer beskrivs också i rapporten. Enligt EU direktiv skall återanvändning och återbruk öka för att främja miljön.

The thesis starts with a description of the ethnographical methods used, followed by the process of establishing the department.

Den här rapporten är ett resultat av ett kandidatarbete på 20-poäng. Projektet som rapporten handlar om, beskriver hur utvecklingen av ett webbutikssystem åt ett flertal företag gått till. De har i sin tur köpt webbsystemet från företaget Opti Use som givit oss uppgiften. I rapporten diskuteras hur utvecklingsprocessen gått till och hur ett arbete med ett befintligt system upplevts. Rapporten beskriver även hur lösningen på uppgiften har tagit form och hur utvecklingsprocessen påverkat den.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att utforma en teoretisk nyckeltalsmodell som är lämplig att använda i ett producentkooperativ och som är anpassade för företagets vision och styrelsens intressen. Detta utför vi med hjälp av en fallstudie då vi valt ett kvalitativt och abduktivt angreppssätt. För insamling av empiri har vi i vårt fallföretag utfört djupintervjuer. De teorier vi valt att arbeta med är; agentteorin, nyckeltal, Balanced Scorecard samt producentkooperativ. Resultatet av vår insamlade empiri och den teori vi valt att fokusera på har mynnat ut i att vi har konstruerat ett Balanced Scorecard anpassat till ett producentkooperativ vilket underlättar uppföljningen mellan ledning och styrelse..

In this thesis I'm trying to investigate how good educational computer programs work in elementary school. I delimited the study to contain one elementary school in the stages of 6 to 9. The method I used was qualitative and the approach was inductive. I interviewed four teachers and five pupils as the way to collect data for the study. The theories I used were parts from different books with authors, which have done similar studies and researches.

This masters thesis investigates the relation between China and the Information Society as it is manifested in the UN conference the World Summit on the Information Society WSIS. The first phase of this two-phase conference took place in Geneva 10-12 December 2003, with two documents, Declaration of principles DP and Plan of action PA, as main results. The information policy is central to an authoritarian rule in its efforts to keep control over the national identity. The thesis investigates the impact that the information revolution and Internet might have on the Chinese national identity through the acceptance of DP and PA in various aspects. With the use of the information science theories by Manuel Castells and Frank Webster, the vision of WSIS was compared with the Chinese information policy.

This project report shows the work around a mockup to a three-dimensional avatar-making application. An avatar-making application is a computer-based software program in which it is possible to create your own personal virtual character. The possibility to use three-dimensional avatars can in the future be essential for adding extra personal information or characteristics to social communication over the internet or over mobile phones. The problem of transforming a physical form and reconstruct it to a virtual basis has been an important problem to solve for many companies and software developers in the, for instance, virtual worlds area. Methods and ideas over making this transformation is the key throughout this project.
