Bakgrund: Att leva med Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) innebär en stor utmaning i det vardagliga livet. Personerna kan bli funktionshindrade på grund av de livslånga symtomen som IBS medför trots att IBS i sig inte är livshotande. Många personer med IBS upplever idag att information om egenvård från sjukvården är bristfällig, att de inte blir tagna på allvar, och att deras egna upplevelser förbises. Eftersom sjuksköterskan kommer i kontakt med dessa personer i sin yrkesutövning kan det anses vara användbart att ha kunskaper om dessa personers upplevelser för att bättre kunna bemöta dem och öka deras välbefinnande och livskvalitet.Syfte: Syftet var att belysa personers upplevelser av att leva med Irritable Bowel Syndrome.Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats som baserades på sju artiklar och analyserades enligt Graneheim och Lundmans tolkning av innehållsanalys.Resultat: I resultatet framkom fem kategorier av upplevelser; Olika känslouttryck, att acceptera den förändrade vardagen, önskan om förståelse och stöd, påverkan på integritet och självkänsla och social isolering och utanförskap.Slutsats: Denna studie har visat att personer med IBS har ett behov av att bli förstådda av sjukvården. Sjuksköterskan kan genom att öka sin kunskap om personers livsvärld och upplevelser av att leva med IBS bidra till att fler personer får stöd och hjälp från sjukvården.

Idag väljer många företag och kommuner att placera data i molnet istället för på en lokal server, detta medför nya problem som tidigare inte varit aktuella. Datainspektionen har påpekat brister i hur två kommuner använder molntjänster för att lagra personlig data då de ställer sig tveksamma till molnleverantörernas hantering av data samt insynen till molnleverantörerena. I detta arbete kommer det undersökas hur den svenska personuppgiftslagen fungerar när data läggs ut i en molntjänst. Resultatet av uppsatsen kommer även visa på de olika säkerhetshoten som finns i molnet och se vad säkerhetsexperter säger för att ta reda på om kommuner och företag är medvetna om och uppmärksammar samma hot. För att ta reda på detta har intervjuer genomförts med en svensk molnleverantör, företag som utvecklar tjänster mot molnet, privatpersoner som nyttjar molnet och experter inom säkerhet från Blekinge Tekniska Högskola, BTH. Resultatet av studien visar att det är svårt att se om en amerikansk leverantör uppfyller de svenska lagarna för personuppgifter, det visar också att det är teoretiskt möjligt att anlita en svensk leverantör och uppfylla lagen. In February 2002 the European commission put forward a proposal for a new directive on The patentability of computer-implemented inventions, but which during my work on this essay has not been decided on yet. The directive has divided the decision-makers in the union, the commission and parliament, into two different positions regarding by which range computer-implemented inventions should be patentable. The parliament has amended the commissions proposal in a substantial way and the legal process has caused a heated debate both within the unions administration and among various interest groups both in favour of and against a patent on computer-implemented inventions. The loudest protests have come from a group that feels threatened by a possible software patent: Open Source. In this study I examine both the arguments by the decision-makers and by the lobbying for and against the proposal.

This study highlights the importance of computer technology and its impact on elder care staff's skills development in the public sector. The government presents the digital agenda within which information and communication technology today is considered to have a potential for sustainability, growth and development. According to the EU Commission, there are several important elements that should be improved to digitize the workplace. Among these are digital literacy, collaboration between agencies and increased investments in research, education and innovation. New technology can be understood in different ways by individuals, some see the computer as something positive and exciting, while others may find it hard to see the opportunities for learning and development.

Modern agriculture equipment are more computer based today, and many equipments use a terminal in the tractor where the driver have the opportunity to make adjustments to the equipment. This is the reason why ISO developed a new standard called ISOBUS. It is a communication standard based on CAN specially adapted for griculture equipments. The purpose of the standard is that it should be ossible to equip a tractor with a standard terminal called Virtual Terminal that can be used to control the equipment. The use of the terminal should be independent of the manufacturer of the tractor as well as of the equipment.The purpose of this report is to ?nd a solution of how to use CC Systems on-board computer, CCP XS, as a Virtual Terminal.

Detta arbete fokuserar på dramapedagogikens användningsområde för lärandet och studerar dess tillämpbarhet i en tänkt teaterutbildning. Två väl ansedda pedagoger; Maria Winton och Peter ?Peppe? Östensson har i intervju delat med sig av sina visioner kring en teaterutbildning, vilken ligger till grund för studiens empiriska material.Analys av dramapedagogikens funktion i teaterutbildningens vision har gjorts med hjälp av de didaktiska frågeställningar vad, varför och hur. Resultatet visar på övervägande likheter mellan teorierna kring dramapedagogik och teaterutbildningens vision. Det finns ingen större motsägelse mellan teori och empiri, men begreppet publik utvecklas vidare för att klargöra dess funktion inom dramapedagogik.Dramapedagogik är en metod och en konstform.

Virtual Communities is an increasingly common phenomenon on the Internet. Most of the Virtual Communities are operated and maintained on a non-profit basis with a direction towards entertainment. However, as more state administrated and commercial services become web-based, we believe that the number of Virtual Communities with a community-based or commercial direction will increase in a near future. In this thesis, we describe our participation in, and studies of, a number of Virtual Communities with focus on the IRC-channel ?3dfxsweden?. On the basis of our experiences, we describe the social elements that form the foundation on which the Virtual Community rely on.

Stockholms stad har i vision city ett antal konkreta utvecklingsmål för stadens utveckling fram till 2030. Bland annat betonas vikten av en större funktionsblandning, fler verksamheter med längre öppettider och en större mängd nattbefolkning i city. Som ett steg i vision citys riktning omvandlas inom kort Swedbanks huvudkontor på Brunkebergstorg till hotell, samtidigt som en renovering av Brunkebergstorg är aktuell.Uppsatsens syfte är att söka svar på hur Stockholms stad genom fysisk planering kan öka antalet besökare över hela dygnet på Brunkebergstorg och därmed öka nattbefolkningen i Stockholms city. Tillvägagångssättet utmärks till största del av litteraturstudier av forskningslitteratur inom stadsplanering, stadsliv och stadshistoria samt intervjuer och en platsanalys av Brunkebergstorg. Resultatet av litteraturstudierna presenteras som strategier vilka kan användas inom stadsplanering för att skapa ett befolkat offentligt rum.

In this Bachelor thesis I explore sound and room as elements in design of user interfaces, both theoretical and practical in a specific application domain, to identify some of the advantages and disadvantage associated with these elements. As application domain I studied email clients and their usage at home amongst students at Blekinge Institute of Technology. In the study I found an activity, which seems to be highly distributed in the physical room where the user is located. The activity was notification of email and could take place in an arbitrary location of the home. I then augmented this activity with ideas from my theoretical assumption about room and sound. The result was a rule-based agent for notification of email, which primarily uses sound as interaction style..

In this essay I have chosen to explore how computers are used in preschools. The study was done as a survey. How does preschool seize the children´s culture? In today´s society ICT and computers are a big part of children´s everyday life and reflects on their upbringing.Since I am using computers as a pedagogical tool in teaching the children at my preschool, I find this topic interesting to explore.Are the teacher´s using computers for an educational purpose with the children at preschools or are they using it in other ways?Do the teachers think they have the required knowledge to computers usage in teaching the children in a pedagogical way?What is the teacher´s attitude towards computers in preschool?The essay starts with a introductorial background section where I talk about my own experiences of using computers with the children in my preschool, and then referring to the society then and now, school law, curriculum, teachers' computer skills, media situation amongst children and young people, computer use in preschools/schools and health effects. I have composed a survey based on the answers of 50 teachers in 30 different preschools and in nine different municipalities.The result of the survey is reported and concludes with a part of discussion, where the results are put up against the introductorial background section.

IBS patients experiences of eating the low FODMAP-dietIrritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common, functional gastrointestinal tract disorder. The disease is benign but may cause much suffering for the individual. The treatments available are used to relieve symptoms. One nutrition therapy is to exclude fermentable oligo-, di-, monosaccharide and polyols, so callde FODMAPS, from the diet. This diet is proven successful and even significantly better than the standard nutrition advice for IBS.

Due to progresses constantly being made in veterinary medicine combined with increasing knowledge in pet owners, the dogs of today gets older than before. The population of geriatric dogs is there for constantly growing, which makes them an important group of patients on small animal clinics and hospitals. As dogs age, so do their interior organs. Geriatric dogs are prone to several diseases and in this text the author has decided to focus on three of the most common: Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CDS), cancer and osteoarthritis (AO). All of these illnesses are incurable in dogs, but it is important to remember that they are still treatable.
