Svenska såväl som utländska myndigheter har insett vikten av att utveckla webbsidor för bland annat lokala myndigheter. Forskare på Nya Zeeland har sammanställt ett antal nyckelfaktorer som de funnit användbara vid utveckling av e-myndigheter i USA och därefter undersökt om dessa är användbara även på Nya Zeeland. Deras resultat visade på ett behov av ytterligare forskning och den här uppsatsen har därför använt en kvantitativ metod i form av en webbaserad enkät för att undersöka dessa nyckelfaktorers betydelse i Sverige. Undersökningen visade på att flera av nyckelfaktorerna anses viktiga men att det i vissa fall saknas förståelse för dem på lokal nivå. De slutsatser som dragits visar på ett fortsatt forskningsbehov om de 16 nyckelfaktorerna men även på att det krävs utbildning och stöd åt de lokala myndigheterna för att alla i landet skall få likvärdig service oavsett vilken kommun man är bosatt i..

The aim of this Master's thesis is to explore how the localisation and the design affect the conditions for a school-media centre. A school-media centre is in this study a place where the students seek, find and evaluate information, discuss and exchange ideas. An active place for generating knowledge. The method applied in this study is "Space Syntax Analysis", a quantitative method with visual representation of the results. In the theoretical framework, space is the voids between walls, doors and ceiling, between furniture and bookshelves.

Abstract The aim of this study was to explore and describe the pupils' thoughts on seed and its development into seedling. Twenty nine Swedish pupils at the age of 7 and 10 years old were interviewed about their knowledge of seeds.It turned out that pupils often have so-called everyday belief to describe the natural science phenomenon by connecting their explanations to phenomena in everyday life to which they are familiar. To describe the process of seed developing into seedling is something that most of the pupils believe to be difficult and this resulted mostly in the answer ?it is growing.? Children have some knowledge about what seeds need in order to germinate but they do not mention the importance of oxygen as a component of seed to be able to germinate and grow. They mean instead that it is sufficient with soil, water and sun.The older pupils, however, are more often than the younger pupils able to connect their reflections to a more scientifically correct description based on terms belonging to the phenomena, though these terms sometimes are wrongly used.

Siffror om könsfördelning inom IT-branschen och på högre tekniska utbildningar talar sitt tydliga språk. Andelen män inom ämnesområdena data och teknik är ofta betydligt större än andelen kvinnor. Detta kan ge till följd att samhället går miste om en stor del potentiella begåvningar. En jämnare könsfördelning brukar dessutom resultera i ett trevligare och gemytligare klimat. För att öka intresset bland kvinnliga studenter för vissa IT-utbildningar har en del universitet och högskolor ändrat utbildningsformer och innehåll. Några har även utformat särskilda program som vänder sig till kvinnor.

 This study aims to deepen the understanding of which opinions and perceptions the teachers in the study have about the national goals, as well as local, when they plan their lessons in science studies for the younger ages. We wish to illustrate which goals these teachers find most important, their opinions on how they use these and how the different goals affect their design of teaching. The study also aims to examine which syllabuses, national or local, the teachers believe have an effect on their planning. Data were collected by interviews with four teachers, combined with questionnaires sent to 25 teachers teaching in science studies in forms 1-6. To analyse the data, key terms from Vygotsky and a sociocultural theory was used, such as situated learning, artifacts, the zone of proximal development, thinking in group and mediation. The data was also interpreted and examined by recent studies regarding this subject. The results show that the teachers find their own knowledge, the national syllabus and their colleagues as most important for their planning.

ABSTRACT This essay is about traffic analysis of Web servers. The purpose is to investigate if companies analyse the traffic on the Web server and if they use this information to create more than simple statistic reports. The questions that we will answer are the following: ? How common is traffic analysis on the Web server among companies? ? Is the Web administrator limited in analysing the Web traffic, if the company has the website on a Web hotel? ? Does the company uses the results they get from analysing the traffic on the Web server for updates and changes on the Web page? To answer these questions we made a questionnaire investigation by telephone interviewing the companies? webmasters. The extent of the investigation was 20 companies in Blekinge. The information we gathered from the investigation showed that it is becoming more common that companies analyse the traffic on the Web page and that they uses the information to more than statistic reports, for example updates and changes of the Web page.

Tobii Technology AB is a global leading company in eye tracking. The technology is a part of acomputer screen called an eye tracker. It enables computers to follow eye movement whichfurther make it possible to control the computer by only using your eyes.The mission was to develop an arcade game for eye controlled games that Tobii can use in theirmarketing or as a tool when doing researches about the interest in the technology amongst gamecompanies. The product realization involved designing an innovative, functional and futuristiccase which gathered the existing hardware and software to build the final prototype. In order toattract users it was important to focus on the visual expressions.Initially, the project started off with an information retrieval which contained interviews, fieldstudies, tests and literature studies.

Relationsmodellen kom 1970 och är i våra dagar generellt accepterad som ett landmärke. Databasen lagrar sin data i form av tabeller och har ett välbeprövat sätt att lagra information på. Första generationens objektorienterade databaser kom 1986. Det som är kännetecknande för en objektorienterad databas är att data sparas i form av objekt i databasen. Vi vill med vår uppsats testa om användandet av Versant minskar relationsdatabasens nackdelar och därmed är ett bättre val till typ av databas. I objektorienterade databaser är det möjligt att spara komplexa datatyper, som t.ex.

Objektorienterade databaser har en fördel gentemot relationsdatabaser när det gäller hantering av komplexa datatyper, dessa datatyper används inom till exempel applikationsområdena CAD, CAM och CASE. Trots detta är det relationsdatabaser som används mest inom dessa områden. Syftet med denna uppsats är att ta reda på vilka faktorer som påverkar att valet av lagringssätt inte faller på objektorienterade databaser. Vi har valt att enbart titta på företag som utvecklar CAD-system och genomförde fyra semistrukturerade intervjuer på sådana företag. Vi kom fram till att de faktorer som påverkar att objektorienterade databaser inte används är att systemets kod inte är helt objektorienterad, att det inte förmedlas tillräckligt med information om objektorienterade databaser, att det inte finns någon benägenhet hos företagen att prova på ny teknik på grund av begränsad ekonomi samt att prestandafrågor har minskat i betydelse..

The purpose of this study is to survey how the Sweden Democrats? success in the latest election to the Swedish parliament has changed teaching in social science. The main question is: in what way has the success of the Sweden Democrats influenced social science teaching? This leads to following sub-questions: 1) how do the social science teachers define the Sweden Democrats, 2) how do teachers relate to the Sweden Democrats in the classroom, 3) has there been a change in students? political opinions and 4) were there any discussions or proposals from the school administration which followed the parliamentary election of 2010? To answer these questions, interviews were made with four teachers. The main conclusion of this study is that the Sweden Democrats? success led to a simplification of teaching because phenomena and opinions that were previously taboo nowadays are normalized and thus have its place in the classroom.

I denna studie har vi undersökt brister inom nättidningar ur ett användbarhetsperspektiv. Vi har även undersökt redaktioners syn på användandet av nättidningar. Två metoder har använts för genomförandet av undersökningarna. Vi har dels intervjuat redaktioner och dels utfört en observationsstudie på slutanvändare. Vi kom fram till att nättidningar är klart användbara.

Abstract PurposeThis thesis aims to focus on how master students administer scholarly articles after they have found them. The purpose of the study is to detect how and to what extent people administer their articles from a personal information management-perspective (PIM).MethodTo answer the research questions, a web-based questionnaire survey was distributed which was announced to around 2,000 master students from different universities in Sweden. Most of the items in the survey focused on individual storage methods. The respondents were asked to rate the frequency of their different information administration behaviors on a seven level Likert-type-scale. Subsequently, items concerning specific information administration behaviors were posed, followed by questions on the respondent's sociodemographic status.

I denna uppsats har vi undersökt vilka kommunikationsmetoder som används idag vid bedrivandet av distanskurser i Sverige. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka om och hur synkrona kommunikationsmetoder används beroende på olika situationer i studentens kommunikation, och hur dessa kommunikations metoder påverkade hur studenterna klarat att tillgodogöra sig kursens innehåll. Tillvägagångssättet för vår undersökning har varit genom utföra två enkätundersökningar, varav en har besvarats av studenter och den andra besvarats av lärare på diverse distanskurser. Utöver detta har vi gjort en litteraturundersökning på närliggande information angående kommunikationsmetoder, distanskurser och gruppteorier. Vad vi funnit är att användandet av synkrona kommunikationsmetoder tenderar till att minska antalet missförstånd mellan studenter, vilket leder oss till slutsatsen att synkrona kommunikationsmetoder fyller en önskvärd funktion i bedrivandet av distanskurser.

Denna uppsats undersöker vilka evalueringskriterier som svenska medelstora företag anser vara viktiga vid val av affärssystem. Vid genomgång av tidigare studier och forskning specificerades åtta olika teman, som stod som grund för utveckling av vår kvantitativa enkätundersökning. De teman som undersöktes var: funktionalitet och skalbarhet, anpassbarhet och flexibilitet, pålitlighet och säkerhet, implementering, systemutvecklare, kostnad, strategisk planering samt användarvänlighet och användbarhet. Undersökningspopulationen delades även in i stratum efter storlek och branschtillhörighet. Undersökningens resultat visar att svenska medelstora företag värderar affärssystems pålitlighet och säkerhet högst.

Affärssystemportaler, en affärssystemkomponent som är populär bland större företag, används ofta för att effektivisera inom olika organisatoriska processer. Eftersom en utarbetad metodik för att utvärdera hur affärssystemportaler effektiviserar organisationer saknas, har denna studie haft som syfte att forma en sådan utvärderingsmetodik. Metodiken är baserad på ett etablerat ramverk för utvärdering av organisatorisk effektivitet som sedan blivit anpassat till affärssystemportaler genom användandet av ämnesrelevant teori. Studien innefattar även ett test av utvärderingsmetodiken genom en praktiskt genomförd utvärdering av en affärssystemportal, vilket varit vårt andra syfte. Genomförandet samt resultatet av denna utvärdering ligger sedan till grund för en diskussion där metodikens framgång utvärderas.
