This examination project has been performed in collaboration with Husqvarna AB, one of the world?s leading manufacturers of both commercial and professional garden products such as chainsaws, trimmers and lawnmowers. Husqvarna AB always strive to develop and improve new and existing products and components to ensure an attractive product and a competitive position on today?s market One of these components is filled balances. This is a component unique to the company and is one of the parts in their fuel-powered chainsaws.

Voltage sag indices are a way of quantifying the performance of the power supply, as far as voltage sags are concerned. Indices can be defined for individual events, for individual sites, and for a whole system. A standard method for single-event methods is part of IEC standard 61000-4-30.This thesis emphasizes the importance of voltage sag indices and different methods for calculating three-phase voltage sag characteristics. Three-phase events measured in a medium network voltage over period of one month were analyzed, results examined and statistically evaluated. An algorithm for calculating voltage sag characteristics and indices was created in Matlab.

One purpose of our study was to investigate if equality in work time and parental leave in a relationship affect the time that parents spend with their children. Our first hypothesis was that increased equality in work time and parental leave leads to a reduction of the parents? total time with their children, ie the children spend more hours in pre-school and begin pre-school earlier. In order to test our hypothesis, we investigated the relationship between the woman?s and the man?s work time and parental leave and the time that the children spend in pre-school as well as at what age they began pre-school by using two surveys.Our study showed a significant coherence between both working women?s work time and the children?s time in pre-school as well as women?s parental leave and the children?s age at start in pre-school.

This thesis reports on a case study of a forest company, Stora Enso, and their experience from a number of trials and experiments with ash recycling. A literature survey and a total of eleven in-depth interviews were carried out. Ash recycling was found to be the concern of three different divisions of the company. The pulp industry which produces the ash, the forest division which would be responsible for identifying land and spreading the ash, and Stora Research, which has had a major part in the design and implementation of research trials. Lacking an overall company decision on ash recycling the matter is left to the individual divisions.

The purpose of this master?s thesis was to find problems that occur in the production line at Atlas Copco Rocktec Division, in order to decrease the costs of defect in quality. When the problems were distinguished, the authors ought to choose the problem with the highest improvement potential. One request from the constituent at Atlas Copco Rocktec Division was to connect the improvement to the document The Way We Produce. The document provides information and values about Atlas Copco and consists of 10 principles to be able to reach their vision.

This study has been carried out in cooperation with Unilever and partly with the EC founded project, Smartdoc IST-2000-28137. In areas of statistics and image processing, both the amount of data and the dimensions are increasing rapidly and an interactive visualization tool that lets the user perform real-time analysis can save valuable time. Real-time cropping and drill-down considerably facilitate the analysis process and yield more accurate decisions. In the Smartdoc project, there has been a request for a component used for smart filtering in multidimensional data sets. As the Smartdoc project aims to develop smart, interactive components to be used on low-end systems, the implementation of the self-organizing map algorithm proposes which dimensions to visualize.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om man som lärare bedriver en matematikundervisning med särskoleelever som bäst gagnar eleverna för att klara sig så bra som möjligt i vardagslivet. Tidigare forskning har visat att uppställningar av multiplikation och division är mer komplexa än man tidigare insett. Användningen av miniräknare i de tidiga skolåren stärker ofta problemlösningsförmågan och begreppsuppfattningen utan att försämra förmågan till skriftliga beräkningar. Med hjälp av intervjuer av elever på grundsärskolans högstadium har jag velat undersöka på vilken nivå i matematiken eleverna befinner sig på när det gäller multiplikation/division. Åtta elever fick cirka sju uppgifter att lösa.

Studiens syfte var att med neuropsykologiska utredningsverktyg undersöka exekutiva funktioner hos allsvenska fotbollsspelare samt division 1 spelare. Även sambandet mellan spelarnas exekutiva funktioner, gjorda mål och assist undersöktes. 57 herr- och damspelare testades. Elva kliniska utredningstest användes. Resultaten visade att de allsvenska spelarna hade signifikant bättre kapacitet på vissa exekutiva funktioner än spelarna från division 1.

BAKGRUND: Matematik är ett viktigt ämne och har en central roll i vår vardag. Barn möter tidigt räknesättet division i problemlösningssituationer och intressant är att se hur de resonerar när de ställs inför en problemlösningsaktivitet. Vi blev nyfikna på om det går att urskilja variation mellan barns sätt att lösa problem genom att tilldela dem några divisionsproblem och i grupp låta dem samtala och diskutera sig fram till olika lösningar för att studera en eventuell variation.SYFTE: Syftet med studien är att urskilja variation i barnens olika sätt att lösa några matematiska problem. Frågeställningarna är: Vilka olika lösningssätt beskriver barnen? Går det att urskilja om barnen reflekterar kring sina erfarenheter och kamraters lösningar? Samt går det att urskilja ett ökat lärande när barn diskuterar sina olika lösningar?METOD: I undersökningen har vi använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där vi har observerat och intervjuat barn både enskilt och i grupper om tre, när de arbetat med tre olika matematiska problemlösningsuppgifter innehållande räknesättet division.

Examensarbetet behandlar fyra delar:- Litteraturstudie avseende mätning av överföringsfel.- Utveckling av provmetod för mätning av överföringsfel i befintlig kuggprovrigg.- Mätning av ljud, vibrationer och överföringsfel med utvecklad provmetod.- Undersökning av mätrepeterbarheten.Volvo CE konstruerar anläggnings maskiner. De som arbetar med sådana maskiner använder ofta maskinen under hela sin arbetsdag vilket gör att det ställs höga krav på förarmiljön.

The purpose of this essay is to investigate how well vision and strategies communicates from division level to underlying business unit levels with focus on the Balanced Scorecard Concept. The investigation was carried out within the ANS division and two of its underlying business units at the LFV Group (Swedish Airports and Air Navigation Services). ANS is responsible for the air navigation services in Sweden and the production of the services is carried out of the business units AER (En Route) and ATA (Tower and Approach). With Air Navigation Services means supervision and conducting air traffic mainly within national air space. The purpose of the services is to insure that air traffic could be carried out in a safe way.The Balanced Scorecard was introduced for the first time in the beginning of the 1990´s.
