ABSTRACTIntroduction: Postoperative wound infection is the third most common nosocomial infection in Sweden. The ever-growing problem of antibiotic resistance provides surgical departments a big challenge when it comes to preventing the spread of infection. Operating theatre nurses have a vital role in the prevention of infection. In addition, correct ventilation in the operating theatre is of great importance. The caregiver is responsible for quality assurance of ventilation in the operating theatre, but the work can be delegated to other staff within the department.

Background: A health damage that has been specifically related to nursing is pressure ulcers. Pressure ulcers are a complication caused by disease, care and treatment and can result in great suffering for the patient. Pressure ulcers can affect people both physically and psychosocially and is experienced, by most patients, as a serious and unnecessary complication of care. Today there are hundreds of identified risk factors for pressure ulcers described that can be divided into patient and care-related risk factors. A successful pressure ulcer prevention and treatment is to reduce or eliminate the underlying causes for the development of pressure ulcers, prevent deterioration and to treat existing ulcers.

This study aimed to find out whether or not gender related theories regarding the division between men and women can be applied to three novels written by Katrina von Bredow, Syskonkärlek (1991), Som jag vill vara (2007) and Flyga högt (2011). The theories used in this research were Yvonne Hirdman?s theory and R.W Connell?s theory. Hirdman claims that there are differences between men and women at different levels in the society while Connell believes that this is a myth because, according to the writer, men and women are psychologically similar. The intent with this research was to provide a gender analysis of Bredows novels, because these novels have not been studied previously.

Manga studier visar atttränaren är en viktig resurs i arbetet med att informera idrottare om kost.Syftet med undersökningen är att ta reda på om innebandytränare inom de tre högstadivisionerna har organiserad information om kost, om de har någon utbildning inom kostkopplat till idrott och vad de har för inställning till rollen som kostinformatör. Syftet är ävenatt göra en jämförelse mellan de olika divisionerna och mellan dam- och herrtränare.En riksomfattande enkätundersökning genomfördes inom innebandyns elitserie, division I ochdivision II. Enkäten skickades ut till sammanlagt 210 tränare varav 105 svarade.

Från Sjövärnskåren division syd, underavdelning Blekinge, inkom en förfrågan om att göra en undersökning och projektering till ett digitalt maskinövervakningssystem.Syftet med maskinövervakningssystemet är att det ska vara lättare för de som tränas ombord att ta till sig maskineriets kondition. Detta kommer att bidra till att minska underhållskostnaderna genom att förbättra övervakningen under drift, för att undvika oönskade driftfall, och dels att förbättra driftsdokumentationen som underlag för beslut om underhållsåtgärder/-intervaller.Projektet innebar en föreberedande undersökning av vilken utrustning som behövs till det nya systemet samt för att få en kostnadsram åt Sjövärnskåren.Vi träffades i Karlskrona för att komma överens om vilka maskinparametrar som skulle presenteras. Därefter påbörjades förundersökning och dokumentationsgenomgång för att ta reda på vilka givare det var samt vad för signal de gav till det befintliga övervakningssystemet. Detta visade sig bli en stor del av projektet som tog mycket tid. Vi var och mätte signalerna från givarna på fartyget utan att komma fram till slutsats.

Ocean Modules Sweden AB is a small business active in the field of underwater technology. Thecompany was contacted by the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration (FMV) in order todevelop a new system that would conform to their specific requirements. Two students at theRoyal Institute of Technology (KTH) were consulted in conjunction of this project in order to aidthe development and conceptual design of the system.The primary users of the system are the divers of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal division (EOD)- a branch of the Swedish Armed Forces. The purpose of the product was to incorporate allnecessary functions required by the EOD divers into one single system. An analysis was to be made of how love between teenagers as well as the heterosexual relationship in general was depicted in each of the films and further investigate the gender construction in both films.Material/method: With the intention of narrowing down the complexity and make the evaluation more lucid 5 scenes from each film were used for comparison, these were chosen through the Anglo Saxon dramaturgy. To make the scenes more comparable 4 factors were used for analysis in each scene, these were: clothes, recreational activities, behaviour and environment. Beside the above given factors the heterosexual relationship were analysed and compared in each of the scenes through the theory of dominance in dialogue.Main results: The gender construction occurs obliviously in the older film from 1970 while taking place in a more conscious way in the film from 2005. Further on the heterosexual relationship is perpetually depicted in the 70?s film with a submissive girl and predominant boy, the same dominance is easily seen in the more recent film but with a higher rate of equality as the girl is portrayed as the dominant character in almost half of all scenes.

AbstractWorking as a lawyer demands not only legal skills, but also ethical ones due to the involvement with humans. The area of ethics is far from as regulated as the area of law is. The reasons for this are both historical ? as the area of ethics is, in comparison with the practice of law, a relatively new area, especially combined with the traditional work of lawyers ? and technical, since ethics is an area that seems difficult to regulate due to its adopting skills. Ethics looks different depending on which work area it addresses; who you ask; and in what situation it shall be enlightened.

Abstract Rapporter från Skolverket visar att många elever inte når målen i matematik.12 % av eleverna i åk 9 nådde inte godkäntgränsen på ämnesproven i matematik 2006, (PM 2006:2230). Utifrån provens resultat funderade vi över vilken undervisning elever i matematiksvårigheter möter eller mött. Är det så att de blivit utslagna från skolans matematikundervisning redan innan de nått högstadiet? Vad gör skolan för dessa elever i mellanåren så att de ska bli godkända i matematik åk 9? Vi var intresserade av hur de specialpedagogiska insatserna såg ut och hur eleverna upplevde dessa. Vi har intervjuat 13 elever i åk 6 från två olika kommuner kring upplevelser och erfarenheter av matematikundervisning och specialpedagogiskt stöd.

Swedish sawmills of today suffer from unsatisfying economy with high costs and low benefits. The economical result depends on how well the sawmill can use their raw material. Iggesund Timber AB, a sawmill in the Holmen group, produces a large amount is enduse orientated products for the woodworking industry. Therefore the aim of this student thesis was to investigate the possibility of automatic enduse orientated quality grading of Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris) saw logs by using a gamma-ray log scanner. Iggesund Timber AB has the possibility to grade logs automatically with TINA, a two way gamma-ray log scanner. Grading and classification of Scots Pine logs in Sweden today are mainly manual but can in some rare cases be automatic.
