The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to create a product in the form of a database that can be used for cost estimates of equipment within bio refineries. Through interviews and literature searches the key components and their costs were identified. The database was constructed in Microsoft Excel with different tabs for different categories of components; these tabs are further divided into three parts: one part with costs, one part with calculations and an information part. Most of the part with costs contains the expenses found in scientific papers during the literature study, the calculating part converts different capacities according to user preferences and the currency to euro (?) from 2010 and the information part consists of references and information about what is included in the cost.The database is a good tool for making cost estimates for bio refineries.

Min ambition har varit att operabyggnaden ska imitera och spegla platsens karaktär och unika läge i staden.Galärvarvet är ett område som har direkt närhet till både staden (Strandvägen och Östermalm), parken (Galärparken och resten av Djurgården) samt till vattnet (Ladugårdsviken och Mälaren). Dessa tre stadselement är också starkt karaktäriserande för Stockholm som stad. Intentionen var dessutom att operabyggnaden skulle kunna erbjuda staden något mer än bara opera som konstform och att den ska vara inbjudande och tillgänglig både interiört och exteriört även för de som inte uppskattar operakonsten. Fasaden mot Strandvägen är till stora delar glasad med ytor för operabesökare, balettsalar, orkestersalar och loger för artister samt musiker som kommunicerar operans verksamhet mot staden. Längs med denna fasad löper en lång ramp för besökare ner till den lilla scenen och restaurangen.

Detta självständiga arbete syftar till att ge ägarna till Château du Grand Val, Roland och Marie Nilsson ett utvecklingsförslag på de södra delarna av egendomen där deras mål med fastigheten är hörsammade och där planen är så tydlig att de kan följa den utan större svårigheter. Genom studiebesök, fält- och litteraturstudier har de södra delarna av egendomen fått ett nytt stigsystem där tyngdpunkten ligger på upplevelserikedom och orienterbarhet. Studiebesöken på Château du Grand Val har gett en bakgrundsinformation som sedan har använts till analyser över området. Analysmetoder som har använts är Patrik Grahns åtta parkkaraktärer och Gordon Cullens Serial Vision. Den första har använts som analys av vegetationens egenskaper och den andra för att analysera stigsystemet. Dessa analyser har sedan legat till grund för utformningen av stigsystemet och utvecklingen av den omgivande vegetationen. Arbetets fokus har legat på att skapa sammanbindande stråk mellan befi ntliga stigar och därefter anpassa vegetationen för att förstärka upplevelsen av stigen med hänsyn tagen till att gynna viltet på egendomen och den småskaliga skogsproduktionen. Resultatet redovisas i både text och illustrationer. Det innehåller en utförlig plan för skapande av ett sammanbindande stigsystem.

Effekterna på öringens (Salmo trutta) diet till följd av en avverkning av kantzonsvegetationen har undersökts i ett fältexperiment, där två av de potentiella effekterna av en skogsavverkning simulerades. Fokus låg på de två faktorerna ökad ljusinstrålning och minskat nedfall av terrestra evertebrater. Ökad ljusinstrålning har simulerats med hjälp av montage av lysrör och nedfall av terrestra evertebrater med hjälp av plasttält. Frågeställningarna rör andelen terrester föda i olika behandlingar och årstider, dietskillnader mellan äldre och yngre öringindivider, skillnader i mängden akvatisk föda vid ökad ljusinstrålning samt en taxonomisk översikt av dietens sammansättning. Signifikanta skillnader mellan behandlingarna fanns, där individerna i kontrollbehandlingen åt signifikant mer terrester föda än individer i tältbehandlingen och den kombinerade tält- och ljusbehandlingen.

The goal of this work has been to search historical materials, to identify the park's historical development, to prepare proposals on measures and that work should be the basis for further research. The aim has been to train us in searching for and use of materials and to gain an understanding of the process of work with older plants. In the process we have sought and found materials in archives, through literary and oral sources, and email contacts. Because of its excellent location perched on an islet in the low landscape Näsbyholm was long a fortress. The old castle on Näsbyholm was from the late 1400s but the site was fortified much earlier. The islet was at this time completely surrounded by water and there was a drawbridge over the narrow waterline. The owners are liable since the late 1200s.

Pollinering är avgörande för ett antal kommersiella grödor samt för olika växtarter i inhemsk vegetation. Honungsbi (Apis mellifera) är en av de viktigaste pollinerarna. I regionen Taranaki i Nya Zeeland finns två aspekter av kommersiell pollinering, dels betalar många biodlare för tillgång till manuka för de antibakteriella egenskaperna honungen får av den, dels betalar frukt- och grönsaksodlare för pollinering av sina grödor. Markägare kan ha ett intresse av att spara manuka på sina marker och få en utkomst från biodlarna genom att dessa betalar för åtkomsten. Studien syftar till att klarlägga de effekter som kommersiell pollinering har i Taranaki-regionen idag och för framtida användning och har utgått från intervjuer med biodlare, frukt- och grönsaksodlare och personer som representerar myndigheterna.

The outdoor environment at Children's hospital, the University Hospital, Uppsala, is used by sick children at the Children's hospital, their families and the hospital staff. The staff at the Children's hospital wanted to render the site more attractive and available. This graduation thesis is a proposal about how the outdoor environment at the Children's hospital can be improved. The aim is to design an environment for the sick children, their families and the hospital staff that will serve as a place for relaxation and privacy, as well as for play and movement. In order to find support for the redesign of this site I read literature about theories concerning healing environments, healing gardens, children's play and designs for children.

This study explores the possibility to find a responsive solution for the product menu at Stadiums? e-commerce website which could contribute to increased conversion rates.The study is built upon an experiment and the foundations of the experiment is based upon a market analysis of used design patterns for product navigation in the domain of sport resellers.

Att förnimma det vilda utforskar det vilda som fenomen, hur det konstitueras, upplevs och uttrycks i ett urbant sammanhang. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka landskapsarkitekturens möjligheter att skapa goda - vilda - livsrum där det vilda låter sig förnimmas. Arbetet belyser ämnet utifrån ett västerländskt perspektiv och befinner sig i gränslandet mellan landskapsarkitektur, historia och miljöpsykologi. Arbetet gör ett besök i historiska skildringar av det vilda, i miljöpsykologins preferensstudier på vilda miljöer och tar slutligen en titt på hur det vilda i ett nutidsperspektiv tar sig uttryck i kulturellt formspråk. Arbetet tar avstamp i historien och skildrar hur människor betraktat vildmarken från 1300-talet fram till slutet av 1900- talet. Det framkommer att det vilda har starka religiösa kopplingar och att det betraktats som en motpol till civilisationen.

The Swedish FSC standard (Forest Stewardship Council) is a level standard used to certify forestry. All the major Swedish forest companies are using the FSC standard, and approximately 50% of the Swedish forests are FSC certified today. In the essay six items within the chapter on environmental issues and biodiversity are examined: the proportion of protected forest, the proportion of annually burnt clear-cut stands, the number of trees with large diameter, the amount of dead wood, the proportion of deciduous trees within a stand and the proportion of deciduous-dominated stands. The FSC standard states a level for all items, and the purpose of the essay is to analyse whether these levels are supported by research within the field of conservation biology. The validity of the levels of the six items is them discussed to evaluate whether changes are required to the next revision of the FSC standard.

Cheap imports are competing with Swedish products and consumers, restaurant and retail let the price decided what to purchase. Swedish food producers can become better at communicating the added values that meat and poultry produced in Sweden has. Social media gives companies a possible tool for communication in order to communicate and create a relationship with consumers. The rise of social media does not only affect consumer decisions making, but also corporate communication. The objective of this project is to investigate how social media can connect the farmer to the consumer.

The prevailing food and energy crisis of the world, due to the declining reserves of fossil energy and a never ending rise of consumption, forces us to look into new fields to supply our energy demand. The boom of bio energy is criticized, as food crops are used to provide biodiesel and ethanol and the volumes are ridiculously small to supply world demand. Algae are one of the world?s oldest life forms and exist in many different phyla, providing a great variety to choose from, for different purposes. Cultivating microalgae offer a way to produce energy at great volumes without competing with food production and at the same time the algae offer a way to use our expensive nutrients in a more efficient way, besides this the algae are carbon dioxide neutral since their carbon source can be supplied by the atmosphere and the additional energy required can be supplied by algal oil or other renewable sources.

This report deals with handling and interim storage of soils which are planned tobe reused in construction works. The types of soils that are dealt with are gravel, topsoil and sand. The thesis work has been carried out in collaboration with Skanska Sverige Väg och Anläggning Sydost. The main goal is to find an area for using to store soil in between projects.Studies of laws and regulations regarding exploitation and storage of soil has led to a theoretical background upon which the report is based. Background informationhas also been gathered in meetings with the employees at Tekniska Kontoret and Länsstyrelsen in Jönköping.On the basis of literature studies results, a general template has been developed for which desirable properties a possible location should meet.The model was applied to find a number of possible options in the vicinity of Jönköping.
