Syftet är att identifiera vilka problem som försvårar skötseln på kyrkogårdar, särskilt de som har uppstått på grund av projekteringsmissar men även de som uppstått på grund av felaktig skötsel samt att undersöka möjligheten att utveckla lösningar som kan minska/lösa problemen. Målet är att presentera lösningar på de vanligaste och samtidigt de allvarligaste utformningsrelaterade problemen på de utvalda kyrkogårdarna. För att nå målen ska följande frågor besvaras: ? Vilka är de mest förekommande skötselförsvårande problem som finns på de aktuella kyrkogårdarna? ? Vilka av dessa kan relateras till misstag i projekterings- och anläggningsskeden? ? Hur kan problem lösas/minskas utan betydande negativ inverkan på estetisk, kulturhistoriska och ekologiska värden? För att besvara frågorna ovan inventerades tre kyrkogårdar, Lomma kyrkogård, Silvåkra kyrkogård och Toarps kyrkogård. Genom intervjuer av förvaltningspersonal och inventering av kyrkogårdarna upptäcktes skötselförsvårande problem. Dessa sammanställdes och analyserades.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the relationship between visual communication and female homosexuality within the field of magazine design. As the creative part of the project I have chosen to make a redesign of Lotus magazine, the very first Swedish magazine with lesbian and bisexual girls as the target audience. The questions of which the project is based on are: Which stereotypes, differences and similarities can be found in visual communication addressed to a heterosexual versus a homosexual target audience? What kind of design attracts non-heterosexual girls and how can I create a design for Lotus magazine that is appealing to lesbian and bisexual girls and yet still makes it possible to compete with traditional girls? magazines? In order to examine my research questions I have done literature studies within the field of gender and sexual identity in relation to visual communication. Additionally, I have analysed the design of competing magazines on the market and conducted a survey among representatives of the target audience of Lotus magazine..

Att förstå sambandet mellan miljövariabler och fiskarters förekomst eller abundans är en väsentlig del i att bedriva ekosystembaserat bevarandearbete och ekologiskt hållbart fiske. Tånglaken, Zoarces viviparus, var klassad som nära hotad på rödlis-tan 2010 och på HELCOM Red List of the Baltic Sea 2013. Tånglaken är utbredd över hela Östersjön och används som en bioindikator för föroreningar i havet Att förstå vad som styr tånglakens utbredning är alltså viktigt både ut bevarande syn-punkt och ur miljöövervakningssynpunkt Meningarna går isär angående dennes ha-bitatpreferenser. Med hjälp av data i form av uppmätt djup och videosekvenser från provfisken inom projektet BONUS INSPIRE och data i form av rasterkartor för andra miljövariabler har generalized additive modelling gjorts för tånglakens före-komst i Östersjön. Tre slutgiltiga modeller valdes ut baserat på förklaringsgrad.

This thesis uses the ?What's the problem?-approach developed by Carol LeeBacchi. This approach studies how the problem that a certain policy is supposedto take care of is represented. Each representation will rest upon certainassumptions and will accordingly support certain solutions while other solutionswill be considered less suitable to the problem as it is represented.The thesis therefore evaluates the competing problem representations forgender mainstreaming in Sweden. The theory chapter explores two developmentpossibilities for gender mainstreaming, based on diversity and deliberativedemocracy.

Syftet med uppsatsen var främst att undersöka vilka kvaliteter i utemiljö kring äldreboende som är viktiga för de boende äldres hälsa, välbefinnande och lust att använda utemiljön. Detta gjordes genom en litteraturstudie. Resultatet delades in i tre kategorier: Äldreboendet bör ha kontakt med liv utanför boendet, Äldreboendets utemiljö bör erbjuda flera olika upplevelser och ge den boende möjligheten att byta miljö på äldreboendet och Äldreboendets utemiljö behöver vara tillgänglig, bekväm och trygg. I varje kategori finns ett antal viktiga kvaliteter, som utsikt, vegetation och tillgänglighet. För att fördjupa förståelsen för hur kvaliteterna i praktiken kan utformas så studerades tävlingsbidrag till arkitekttävlingen Framtidens äldreboende.

Populärvetenskaplig sammanfattning: Målet med studien är att se vilka samband som finns mellan insamlad fältdata och beräknad satellitdata för bokskogsbestånd i södra Sverige (Häckeberga naturreservat och naturområde).Fältdata som använts består av uppskattat bladyteindex, beräknad biomassa samt kategoriserade åldersgrupper av 19 provytor bokskog (Fagus Sylvatica), indelat i tre grupper. Provytorna är 2025 m2 och består av homogen bokskog som motsvarar 3*3 pixlar i satellitdata.Skogens bladyteindex uppskattas med hjälp av registrerad data från instrumentet LAI-2000 Plant Canopy Analyzer. LAI-2000 registrerar förhållandet mellan den strålningsmängd som når toppen av vegetationstäcket och den strålning som transmitteras ner genom bladverket. Definitionen av bladyteindex är den sammanlagda bladarean (m2) per markarea (m2) och är således enhetslöst. En skog kan ha ett indexvärde från noll och uppåt.

Informationssystem, i form av affärssystem eller liknande, används idag ofta för att effektivisera arbetet inom de funktioner som finns i ett företag. Användningen har spridit sig från att ursprungligen framför allt stödja logistik och planering inom produktion till att nu användas inom bland annat Human Resources (HR). En av aktiviteterna inom HR-funktionen är traditionellt sett rekrytering, något som företag nu eftersträvar att effektivisera med hjälp av e-Rekryteringssystem. Syftet med användningen av dessa system är följaktligen att effektivisera företagets rekryteringsförfarande och därmed även företaget i stort. Med detta i åtanke har vi valt att utföra en designvetenskaplig studie på ett sådant system.

The Swedish boat industry is considered quite conservative and subject to only limited development. The purpose of the study is to explain the structure of the boat industry, to analyze and evaluate ways of competing and provide recommendations for developing a competitive strategy. The aim of this thesis is to explain how to be competitive in the Swedish boat industry. To be able to do so three areas are used to deepen as well as broaden the understanding. The three areas within competitiveness we have chosen to highlight are differentiation, individualization and distribution.

The purpose of this thesis is to show how a good approach can be designed, focusing on the southern approach to the Swedish town Vilhelmina. Prior to the car being part of everyday life, the approach was a road where the town showed itself from the very best side. When the amount of traffic increased, so did noise and other disturbances, and as a consequence industrial areas replaced the residential buildnings at the approaches. Today, the pendulum is turning back and in recent years the approach is regarded as a place to introduce the town. The approach is also the place where cars should slow down from the speed of the main road to the speed of the city.

This paper examines representations of gender discrimination, linked to feminist perspectives, in the Parliamentary debate on Sweden?s new discrimination legislation through a discourse analysis.

En relativt ny metod i skogsbruket är att samla in data med hjälp av små obemannade flygplan s.k. drönare. Målet med denna studie var erhålla svar på om det är möjligt att använda drönare vid skogsvårdsplanering. Det som undersöktes var vilka parametrar som kunde identifieras i bilder tagna ifrån drönare vid inventering av återväxt, röjningsbehov och röjningsuppföljning. Även hur olika väderlekar, tider på dygnet och omgivande vegetation påverkade bilderna undersöktes.

There are several competing views on how to best utilize air power. Following his quantitative study of air power, Robert Pape developed a theory which focuses on undermining the target state's military strategy. According to Pape it is possible to explain the outcome as a result of military vulnerability. This essay seeks to determine if Pape's theory can predict the outcome of Operation Unified Protector. By using a mixed methods approach on four hypotheses, it will be determined if the operation was a successful case of coercion, if NATO acted according to Pape's model and whether this achieved the desired effects or not. The results reveal that the theory could not successfully predict the outcome of the conflict.

Today Europe is faced with an identity crisis concerning its borders. Turkey stands at the threshold for an EU-membership while the EU-Commission is trying to formulate what constitutes a European identity. This identity seeking process will determine the future not only for Turkey, but also for immigrants now living in Europe.In this thesis a discourse analysis, underpinned by socialconstructionist theory, is conducted to explore how the European identity has been constructed throughout history up until today. A starting point is that identity always is defined through a dialectical relationship to "otherness". Therefore the analysis is focused not only on what a European identity consists of but also what and who it excludes.

A too large public sector impedes the economic development of Sweden and more privatization could increase the efficiency, quality and diversity of the services offered. It is therefore important that firms operating in traditionally public sectors are given the opportunity to grow. We have through a case study examined two mid-size firms that offer services to, and compete with, the public sector. This thesis aims to describe the growth strategies these firms are using and if competing with the public sector implies any differences in possibilities or barriers when it comes to the firms? growth.

This paper attempts to trace the journey of Adonis from ancient Mesopotamia, through Phoenicia and finally to Greece, and to see how his function and cult have evolved during this migration. It starts with a short summary of previous research regarding Adonis and goes on to describe the myths and the rites of Adonis as they were celebrated in Alexandria, Byblos and Athens. I then examine possible connections to ritual drama, the mystery religions and whether there is any evidence that the Adonia might have been a germination ritual.My conclusions are that Adonis loses his connection to the growing cycle and the ideology of sacred kingship with the move to Greece where the political system with independent city states is different, and that there has been too much focus on Adonis as a vegetation god. Since Adonis is connected with the ancient Near Eastern cults of sacral kingship it might be more rewarding to consider the death aspects associated with his cult and the possibility of ancestral worship in relation to a ruler. This would make some of the otherwise puzzling aspects of his cult more understandable..
