Detta arbete var beställt av Sjöfartshögskolan i Kalmar. Skolan ville ha en enhet som kunde mäta aktiv-, reaktiv- och skenbar effekt, ström, spänning, frekvens och cos? på en generator och som kommunicerade vidare dessa värden till en PLC. Detta för att kunna lastfördela lasten mellan ett antal generatorer i kursen Tillämpad elteknik 15 hp där studenterna bygger en generatorinstallation med tre generatorer. Ett funktionsblock för lastfördelning skulle också programmeras.

Both the German and the Nordic power markets are seeing dramatically changed conditions due to an ongoing process of expanding the share of renewable production in the systems. For the German part this comes from heavy subsidies which have led to an explosive development in installed capacity of photovoltaic and wind based production. After the Fukushima incident it has been decided to shut down all Germanys nuclear plants. This capacity drop is however not of the same magnitude as the increase in renewables, but will impact the stability of the power system. The Nordic power system which already has a surplus of power sees an even further increase, coming mainly from construction of new nuclear plants in Finland and a general increase in wind farms.

Introduction: All women can be subjected to intimate personal violence by theirpartner, but the older woman's vulnerability to violence is not highlighted in research.Consequences of violence can be severe and it is essential from a public healthperspective to explore the issue even for the older woman. Objective: The objective ofthe study was to generate a deeper understanding of the problems of older woman'svulnerability to violence by their spouse / partner. The research questions focused onwhat characterized their situation and how a gender perspective can illuminate theproblem. Method: A structured search for scientific studies was carried out in thedatabases: Pubmed, Cinahl, PsykArticles and Scopus in the area of interest. A qualityassessment of the articles was preformed and 12 qualitative studies were included in thestudy.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate if there are any differences regarding syntactic complexity in written language between persons with (phonologically based) reading and writing difficulties and a control group. Earlier research has pointed to such a difference, indicating that texts written by subjects with reading and writing difficulties display a lower grade of syntactic complexity than text written by control groups.Two texts each from 48 subjects (24 from each category) were collected. The subjects were divided in two age groups, one consisting of 15-year-olds and the other of university students (adults in various ages). The subjects were selected through a word decoding test and a spelling test, where the lowest performing formed the group of reading and writing difficulties and the highest performing formed the control groups. Det ingår två stycken elektriskabromsar i varje system. Om det tex blir fel på en av bromsarna och dennapåverkar ett av systemen vill man kunna koppla bort denna enskilda bromsmed sitt system. Man vill även kunna försörja den fungerande bromsen somsitter i samma system via en så kallad Axle Link. Following paper deals with the questions about prehistorian and medieval settlements in the Mälar Valley and their relations to the historically known hamlets or single farmsteads from the 17th- and 18th-century cadastral maps. Models over settlement development through the period A.D 200 to 1700 done by geographers Ulf Sporrong and Dan Carlsson are tested and compared to the knowledge won by recent archaeological excavations. Is there a connection between the older settlements linked together by dry-stone walls and the late Iron Age settlements? Does the picture differ from the one presented for the Gotland region? How well are the general theories about different settlement development depending on basic natural conditions as for the potentials for cultivation and topography, corresponding to the physical remains?  Are there other factors involved when the settlement structure takes its form?The methods that are used here constitutes mainly of a comparison between different locations in the Mälar Valley that has got a well known prehistory thanks to extensive archaeological excavations. Cadastral maps, soilmaps, topography maps and maps over ancient monuments are intertwined to the same map and analyzed through works in Geographical information systems.The results of this study reveal an interesting suspicion in the continuity-question through the Iron Age.

The most common way to treat wastewater in Sweden today is by a combination of an activated sludge process and a chemical treatment. These processes are not very energy efficient and may not be the most environmentally friendly. That is why it is interesting to evaluate new alternative methods to see if they can be less harmful to the environment and help to a lower resource consumption. New techniques are tested in a pilot installation at Hammarby Sjöstad, Sjöstadsverket. To be able to evaluate these techniques in a wide perspective system analyses are conducted where different impacts can be considered, advantages and disadvantages in the systems.Five system structures for water treatment have been constructed in Matlab/Simulink in this study.

This report covers the conceptual design of a new one person hybrid vehicle that is to be fast and convenient to drive on the roads. The vehicle is most of all supposed to be used as a commute vehicle but can also be used at other occasions as well.During the work with this project the group has focused on three larger areas, the outer design (body), wheel chassis and an ergonomically designed interior. The group was not able to just create these parts in 3D to get a trustworthy vehicle, hence number of other components and details were also created to get a better entirety.The outer design starts with idea generation and sketches and ends with a 3D model which is rendered to show how the final product is going to look. The design of the body has been going on during the entire work process due to new ideas and improvements that seemed interesting and had to be changed.The wheel chassis also started with idea generation, research and sketches. It ended up with a simulated 3D model which later on was mounted on the vehicle body to show how the vehicle is going to perform during usage.

De situationer och uppgifter svensk militär kan komma att ställas inför i sitt arbete att försvara Sverige vid ett väpnat angrepp och vid internationella insatser kan vara komplexa, otydliga och krävande. Dessa parametrar ställer höga krav på de chefer som skall leda förbanden. Ett av kraven är att cheferna, oavsett ledningsnivå är välutbildade och kompetenta inom just sitt område, de ska vara duktiga på just det de skall göra.Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att analysera behovet av militärteoretisk utbildning för gruppcheferna vid arméns jägarbataljon. Vad blir effekten av en sådan utbildning? Vidare var också syftet av ge förslag på vilka delar ur militärteorin en sådan utbildning skulle kunna innehålla, för att specifikt passa jägargruppchefer.Inledningsvis gjordes en analys av populärversion TOEM AJB, där förbandets uppträdande och uppgifter särskilt analyserades.

Operation Atalanta är en EU gemensam marin operation utanför Somalias kust som syftar till att skydda Word Food Program sjötransporter från piratattacker i området. Försvarsmaktens styrkebidrag till operationen består i huvudsak av Internationella Korvettstyrkan (IKS) som innehåller korvetterna HMS Stockholm, HMS Malmö och stödfartyget HMS Trossö. Förbandet transporterades till insatsområdet med strategisk sjötransport. Att transportera svenska örlogs-fartyg på detta sätt är tämligen nytt inom marinen. Strategiska sjötransporter kräver framförhållning då sjötransportresurserna i vissa fall kan vara svårt att få tillgängliga på den tid som önskas.

This study examines how management consulting firms work with business- and functional strategy and how these strategies are interrelated. More specifically we focus on business strategy (business unit level) and knowledge strategy (functional level) and whether these are aligned or not, i.e. whether strategic congruence exists.A number of recent studies have examined the importance of business strategy and knowledge strategy in management consulting firms separately, but few have pointed out the importance of the alignment between them. With this study we contribute to the strategic field of research with a model that describes how management consulting firms should work with their knowledge strategy given their business strategy. The model is developed through a synthesis between theories in the field of strategic congruence, business- and functional strategies and thereafter tested by an empirical case study of six management consulting firms.

The purpose of the work is to analyze and balance an assembly line at Fläkt Woods in Jönköping. The work is going to answer the questions about today?s throughput time, how much waste that occurs, number of staff at the assembly line, how the supply of material works and possible improvements that can be made at the work stations. The work is also going to give a proposal of improve-ments that can be made.The methods used to get the result include observations and measurements, con-versations with technicians and operators and also data from Fläkt Woods? data-base.Large variations in throughput time are measured during the measure period, from 3 hours up to 5 hours and 35 minutes.

En jämförelsestudie har genomförts mellan två värmesystem. Analysen har genomförts med ett flerbostadshus som referensfasighet. Fastigheten är lokaliserad i Södertälje kommun. Analysen går ut på att bestämma vilket värmesystem som är fördelaktigt vid renovering av äldre flerbostadshus med avseende på energi och kostnad. De systemen som har behandlats är ett centralt värmesystem med motströmsvärmeväxlare och ett centralt värmesystem med frånluftsvärmepump.Det centrala värmesystemet (Eq aggregat) är ett centralt från- och tilluftssystem med återvinning (FTX system).

The composing of new standards in the area of machinery safety is a continuous work which aims at writing standards that works as a tool for companies and enables them to control if the fundamental demands of security and health which is prescribed by law are reached. It is optional for the companies to choose if they want to use the standards. This report is written in cooperation with SIS and the study were performed within the technical committee SIS/TK 282. The report aims to investigating if the companies that choose to use standards see any economic advantages due to this work, how these advantages take form and where they originate. The main question formulation is how the profitability among companies that have adjusted their production to machinery safety standards are affected. The study was performed with an initial literature study which aimed at obtaining knowledge and an overview over the subject as well as investigate what former studies had resulted in.
