The purpose of this essay is to investigate and analyze the term diversity in five Swedish municipality?s combined gender equality- and diversity plans. The purpose is also to investigate who or whom of the employers that are included in the term diversity and if gender equality is included in the diversity work. The material is analyzed on the basis of theory of intersectionality and discourse analysis. The outcome of the analysis indicates that the municipalities use the term diversity in many different ways in the combined gender equality- and diversity plans.

Bakgrund: Efter ett flertal större bolagsskandaler runt om i världen har en förtroendekris skapats på kapitalmarknaden. För att återskapa förtroendet har flera nya regler och rekommendationer instiftats som internationella börsbolag nu krävs efterleva. Ett led i de nya rekommendationerna är att noterade bolag i USA och England skall inrätta revisionsutskott. I dessa länder är det styrelsen, som i stor utsträckningen är anställda av bolaget, som utser revisorerna. Instiftande av revisionsutskott utgör därmed en säkerhet mot att företagsledningen skaffar sig obehörigt inflytande över revisionen.

Samhällets styrformer har genomgått en förändring och kännetecknas idag av en komplexitet som innebär att flera olika aktörer är inblandade, där samarbeten över de privatoffentliga gränserna har blivit allt vanligare för att lösa samhällsproblem som traditionellt sett ålegat staten. År 2013 tog Kommunfullmäktige i Karlstad beslut att genomföra en arbetsmarknadspolitisk åtgärd i form av satsningen ?100 nya Karlstadjobb?. Beslutet innebar att kommunen tillsammans med det privata näringslivet skulle ta fram 100 nya jobb till personer som stod långt ifrån arbetsmarknaden. Den 31 december 2014 avslutades satsnigen och utvärderades av en samordnare på kommunen.

This thesis intends to examine the role of the city, Dublin, in the Irish economic growth during the 1990s. It is a case study where Dublin is compared with current theories on post modern cities as growth machines and increasingly prominent actors in the global context. The study has an interdisciplinary approach but focuses on political science issues such as power distribution, global-local governance and local political organisation. It is a theory driven study that also intends to add aspects to the understanding of the cities of our time. I argue that Dublin has faced a lot of changes during the last decades in accordance with the post modern city.

Today, companies work with issues concerning Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). A higher demand from customers and other stakeholders as well as an extended legislation are great reasons. Framework and guidelines for sustainability reporting has been developed which includes indices that companies are able to report. Though, for a long term work with sustainability a functional system and internal tool is necessary. Balanced Scorecard, BSC, is a useful tool and efforts have been made to integrate BSC and CSR with purpose to establish the work with sustainability in a more concrete and clear way.

This report is a description of a developed educational simulator over rail vehicles and its components. The simulator is a hardware-based prototype over a door system on rail vehi- cles. System specialists and technicians will use the prototype. The Simulator should give the user a technical demonstration on how components work in a door system. The proto- type consists of motor, switch, relay and sensor.

Studiens syfte är att beskriva och analysera begreppet oberoende styrelseledamot, samt visa vilka effekter och inställning kravet om att minst två styrelseledamöter skall vara oberoende av större aktieägare har på svenska börsnoterade bolag. För att uppnå vårt syfte har vi samlat in både primär- och sekundärdata. Primärdata har samlats in genom en explorativ undersökning av intervjuer med personer ur styrelsen eller företagsledningen i bolag som aktivt tillämpar Koden. Sekundärdata har samlats in från regler och riktlinjer kring oberoende i Sverige, EU, OECD och Storbritannien. Utifrån litteraturen har vi studerat teorier om corporate governance såsom stakeholderteorin, agentteorin och resource dependency teorin.

Abstract Tutor - Anders Richtnér History - Theories suggest that Lean Product Development strategies dramatically increase a company's performance through enabling faster T-T-M, Quality and Costs of Product Development. Purpose - The purpose of this paper is therefore to investigate whether the implementation of LPD actually affect corporate performance measurements T-T-M, Quality and Cost, in a positive way. Methodology - This Bachelor thesis is an exploratory investigation of the concept of Lean Product Development within a global IT- company, performed through four case studies, interviews and complementing corporate performance data. Findings - With empirical data and subsequent analyzes in mind, we note the following; it is clear that the project that produced the best results, in terms of T-T-M, Quality and Cost, also was the one furthest in the process of implementing Lean Product Development..

Chinese Remainder Theorem is used to solving problems in computing, coding and cryptography. In computing we can compute with shorter numbers instead of large numbers and this will make the computing-process faster and easier. In coding it can be used for error-searching and error-regulating.Cryptography means that we can send a coded message and that no one will be able to read it without the decode-key which is based on prim-numbers. I am writing about the history of mathematics and how the number- and decimal number-system is used in Babylon, Egypt, Greece and in China. Abacus was a very important aid to calculate advanced mathematical problems.

Syfte: Huvudsyftet med denna studie är att få en förståelse för vilken roll ett företags identitet och image har för valet av profilreklam.Metod: Studien är baserad på en kvalitativ undersökning där en fallstudie har gjorts av två stycken företag/organisationer som är köpare av profilreklam samt deras profilföretag. En tvärsnittsstudie har sedan gjorts av mottagaren av profilreklam.Resultat: Ett företags identitet och image har stor betydelse för valet av profilreklam, framförallt företagets strategi, kultur, design och marknadskommunikation.Begränsningar: Studien har endast undersökt två svenska företag/organisationer och deras profilföretag om hur de arbetar med att ta fram profilreklam.Praktiska implikationer: Resultatet i studien kan användas för att ta fram profilreklam som syftar till att stärka ett företags image som varumärke.Originalitet: Många forskare har undersökt företags identitet och image samtidigt som många har undersökt profilreklam i olika aspekter men få studier har kombinerat dessa två och sett vilken betydelse ett företags identitet och image har för valet av profilreklam.Nyckelord: Företagsvarumärke, företagsidentitet, företagsimage, presentreklam, profilreklam, give-aways..

Syfte:Att öka förståelsen för sambandet mellan de motiv som en kommun har för att äga ett aktiebolag och utformningen av den styrning som ägaren utför. Metod:Utgångspunkten för uppsatsen är deduktiv. Utifrån befintlig teori och existerande modeller skapas en referensram. Denna används sedan för att med kvalitativ metod undersöka det valda fallföretaget genom intervjuer och dokumentstudier. Teoretiskt perspektiv: Den teoretiska referensramen bygger på principal- agentmodellen och normativa föreskrifter från Kommunförbundet och Finansdepartementet.

This Bachelor Thesis looks at the cooperation between the Swedish civil society and theEuropean Union (EU), and it aims at evaluating Swedish civil society organizations' influencewithin the EU's development work on policy level. It focuses primarily on eight civil societyorganizations, and it is based on empirical material collected in Stockholm and Gothenburg,Sweden. The material has been analyzed using three theoretical frameworks. The firstdetermines whether the structure of the EU allows bottom-up influence, the second looks atthe communication between the EU and civil society organizations, and the third assesseswhether the civil society has the ability to influence the political agenda within the EU?sdevelopment work.Conclusions of the thesis include determining the complex structure of the EU as a mainobstacle to influencing the EU's development work.

Societal expectations of responsible corporate conduct are currently a fact. A condition for a successful implementation is the coworkers´ willingness to participate and collaborate.A study made on the co-workers attitude towards the ISO 9000 standard (i.e. qualitymanagement system) reveals that the earlier positive findings are not completely true.
