Hur effektivt är fingolimod vid behandling av multipel skleros?
Multipel skleros (MS) är en kronisk, neurologisk sjukdom som drabbar centrala nervsystemet (CNS). Sjukdomen är autoimmun där kroppens eget immunförsvar angriper nervvävnaden, framför allt myelin, och därefter uppstår en inflammatorisk reaktion. Nerverna i det centrala nervsystemet påverkar många olika funktioner och eftersom myelinet som omsluter nervfibrerna blir inflammerat på olika ställen, både i hjärnan och i ryggmärgen, uppkommer olika typer av symptom. Symptomen för MS kan skilja sig mycket från en individ till en annan, och från skov till skov. Om McDonald-kriterierna uppfylls, som bygger på att minst två separata CNS-lesioner skilda i rum och med minst en månads intervall påvisas utan en tydlig anledning, ställs diagnosen MS.

Low wages, temporary contracts, illegal work, and sexual harassment are the rule rather than the exception when the employee?s working conditions discusses. By using the right dogmatic approach together with a social science perspective the purpose of the study has been answered. The purpose has been to contribute to a greater understanding of how it is that the hotel and restaurant industry?s poor working conditions can be maintained, the extent to which the working conditions of the employees is ensured and why mostly young people, women and people with foreign backgrounds are employed in the industry.

The Essay starts with studying the time after the Second World War and its boom, the force behind many of the abandoned locations we see in our city today. Thereafter the idea of place is looked into, its importance for the individual and how the own individual experience affects the experience of place. It is about how we can create own places and through that recapture the city and give it meaning and contents again. The social aspects are being discussed as an important component of creating a feeling of reality.
Further studies the abandoned rooms historical values since the past have an ability to raise the experience of a place. How decayed depends highly of economy and how we have gotten so used to changes that we accept capitalism as a driving force to decay is also being discussed.

The following thesis concerns the conceptualization of openness within the open access movement. Open accesscan be understood as a phenomenon or a movement that aims at changing the current system of scholarly communication.Consequentially, the movements goals arose in relation to the escalating serials crisis in scholarly communicationand the increasing power of commercial publishers. The purpose of the thesis is to study three centralopen access declarations with the aim of uncovering the different conceptualizations of openness found withinthese texts. Leaning on the theoretical position known as actor-network theory, the declarations role within a surroundingnetwork is explored by focusing on how openness as a concept has been produced and reproduced bycentral actors. Two overarching questions frames the study: How is openness conceptualized within the declarations?And how can openness, as a concept, be understood as an effect generated by a larger network?The first part of the study focuses on the first question.

This paper aims to study the Armenakis´ theory of readiness, "are they ready?", which consists of five key components affecting the outcome of an organizational change. In this case study, the intention is to investigate if any component is important; alternatively if it is possible to discern a pattern between components, i.e. how they correspond to each other. During the past 30 years have a research group lead by Armenakis has studied organizational change and how resistance to change can be avoided by preparing employees in the introductory phase of change. The main object for Armenakis is the question "what determines whether the employees (change recipients) adopt and support, or reject and resist a change".

Background: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that manifests as an increased level of glucose in the blood. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), 347 million people have diabetes worldwide. In year 2004, 3.4 million people died from the consequences of high blood glucose. In the Swedish population the prevalence of diabetes is estimated to 3-4 %, out of which 85-90% are Type 2. Among senior citizens a prevalence of diabetes is seen in Sweden up to 14 - 15%.

The subject for this paper is the Class Action against Skandia Association, a civil organization formed in 2003 with the aim of claiming compensation for some 1.2 million life insurance customers. The background to its formation was one of the largest financial scandals in Sweden in recent times, involving a number of questionable affairs within the insurance corporation Skandia and its subsidiaries, most notably the life insurance company Skandia Liv. The interests of both the stake- and stockholders of the company seem, in certain ways, to have been grossly misrepresented. The scandal, as well as the reaction it spawned, pose a number of questions. In this study, we focus on two: a possible, and in many ways apparent crisis in the representation of interests in Swedish society, and the role of civil society in upholding the balance between these interests.We argue that what is often held to be the ?greed? or ?immorality? of individuals in scandals such as Skandia is, to a great extent, a mere reflection of the ?rational? underpinnings of modern-day capitalism.We find that trust has been a key mechanism of control in the relationships between consumers and agents in pension and life insurance markets, and that ?the Swedish model? that distinguished post-WWII Swedish society was a model heavily based on trust towards existing models of bureaucratic governance.
Att hjälpa alla elever nå målen : En holistisk och kontextuell specialpedagogisk studie om lärarnas önskemål och behov
There is a discrepancy between national school guidelines towards inclusive education, and the current political trend towards economic efficacy, that may be problematic for teachers. The aim of this contextual study is to formulate a contextual understanding of the participating teachers? perceptions of their effort to help all their students achieve the goals set forth by school curricula, and use this understanding for the purpose of suggesting points of entry for special needs educators´ guidance of teachers? practices towards more inclusive education.Information was gathered by sending an extensive web questionnaire to all teachers within a given headmaster´s administration, sending web questionnaires to a majority of third grade students taught by those teachers, conducting interviews with a few of the participating teachers as well as with the special needs educators, carrying out a classroom observation, and gathering additional information concerning working conditions and social interactions.The data gathered in this case study has been subjected to an analytical process comprising of an assessment of the degree of inclusive approach, using the Inclusive Approach through Participation as well as the Framework of Participation, technical triangulation of all data post the inclusive assessment, and analysis of context by the Ecology of Human Development/the Bioecological Theory.The analytical process has resulted in a contextual description that has enabled me to suggest possible points of entry to be used in special needs educators? guidance of teachers? practices towards inclusive education. The degree to which there exists a collegial sense of security, varied forms of teacher-student interactions, collegial cooperation, pedagogical discussions, a dialogue in search of mutual understanding, and consequent follow-ups appears, in the light of the limited selection of participants, as relevant to these teachers ability to help their students.Further research is needed to identify valid points of entry for special needs educators? guidance of teachers? practices towards inclusive education.

The Employment Protection Act (1982:80; LAS) is one of the cornerstones of the labour law that regulates the relationship between employer and employee. The central rule as stated in 4 § LAS is valid for an indefinite term. LAS is a semi-optional law in accordance with 2 § LAS which facilitates deviation from the central rule.Temporary employment is dealt with in 5 and 6 §§ LAS, regulations and collective bargaining agreements. The purpose of the legislative change on July 12007 was to simplify the use of temporary employment and to make the law more predictable and easier to interpret. The previous law was unnecessarily difficult for the employer to know when to put into practice.
Samband mellan upplevd stress och självtillit på arbetsplatsen : En studie utförd på kvinnor i arbetsrelaterade situationer
SammanfattningSyftet med denna studie var att söka samband mellan upplevd stress och självtillit hos kvinnor i arbetsrelaterade situationer. Frågeställning: Finns det ett samband mellan upplevd stress och självtillit hos kvinnor i arbetsrelaterade situationer? Vår hypotes var att det finns ett samband mellan en kvinnas upplevda stress och självtillit i arbetsrelaterade situationer.För vår undersökning krävdes att vi kan mäta två variabler; stressnivå och självtillit hos en individ. Vi har genomfört en kvantitativ studie där vi har använt oss av en webbaserad enkät. Vi har valt att studera yrkesverksamma kvinnor och har tillfrågat 100 kvinnor som alla har någon form av relation till oss.
Studenters inställning till fysisk aktivitet på recept - Ger yrkesutbildningen förutsättningar för studenterna att arbeta med metoden?
Det är vetenskapligt underbyggt att det finns ett tydligt samband mellan omfattning av fysisk aktivitet och hälsotillstånd. Genom att öka den fysiska aktiviteten går det att komma åt en av de stora grundorsakerna till vällevnadssjukdomar, fysisk inaktivitet. Fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR) är en metod i ett steg mot en mer hälsofrämjande hälso- och sjukvård och för att etablera en långsiktig förändring av samhällets syn på fysisk aktivitet. Utvärderingar visar såhär långt att mer motivation och kunskap krävs hos vårdpersonalen för att arbeta efter FaR-metoden. Syftet är att undersöka attityden till FaR bland sista-termins studenter på läkar-, sjuksköterske-, sjukgymnast- och arbetsterapeut- utbildningen, samt om utbildningarna gett förutsättningar att kunna arbeta med metoden i framtiden.
Beteendeförändring mot en mer aktiv livsstil : en kvalitativ studie om fem motionärers erfarenheter och vidmakthållande av regelbunden fysisk aktivitet
Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna studie var att belysa hur regelbunden fysisk aktivitet kunnat vidmakthållas under längre tid än ett år hos motionärer som tidigare genomgått beteendeförändring mot en mer fysiskt aktiv livsstil. Frågeställningar:? Har motiven till att vara fysiskt aktiv förändrats?? Vilka strategier för vidmakthållande av fysisk aktivitet kan identifieras?? Vilka andra faktorer för vidmakthållande av fysisk aktivitet kan definieras?? Vad krävs för att vidmakthålla den fysiska aktivitetsgraden?MetodUtifrån studiens syfte befanns en kvalitativ ansats vara den mest lämpade. Fem motionärer, vilka samtliga vidmakthållit regelbunden fysisk aktivitet längre än ett år, intervjuades. Fem semi-strukturerade djupintervjuer utfördes.

This interestalso reflects in a growing awareness in the textile industry where more and morecompanies today offer organic cotton in their product range. With this in mind wequestion whether organic cotton has become a viable commercial product. We alsoacknowledge there is a lacking of understanding the complex problems that organiccotton manufacture involves, for example the huge effort and cost required for a transitionfrom conventional to organic cotton farming.The purpose of this paper was to study how textile, ecology and competition today arebeing combined by companies. We wanted with our investigation to find out whethercompanies in the textile industry use ecology as a competitive advantage.
The Psychology Driving&Barriers to Skunk Work Project
The Psychology Driving and Barriers to Skunk Work Projects (referred to throughout this thesis as the paper) represents a study predominantly on Tetra Pak from a selective perspective, the innovators. Innovators both past&present whose initiatives contribute to the well being of Tetra Pak as well as one from Ericsson were consulted. As with individuals, organizations possess definable characters that are influenced by the various stages of their life cycle. Theories of corporate life cycle phases and organizational character analysis were therefore employed to identify and explain organizational barriers to skunk work leaders&managers. Predicated on the Organizational Character Index survey developed by William Bridges PhD (himself a recognized leader in the field of transition management) and administered to sixty-one managers within a Tetra Pak business unit established the benchmark.
Hållbart chefskap ? en kartläggning av påverkansfaktorer för ett hållbart chefskap
Den psykosociala arbetsmiljöns koppling till människors mentala och fysiska hälsa har fått allt större uppmärksamhet under senare år. Det är emellertid medarbetarna som har varit i fokus medan chefers hälsa och psykosociala arbetsmiljö utforskats i begränsad omfattning. Mot bakgrund av alltmer komplexa chefsroller och stort rekryteringsbehov av nya chefer inom de närmaste åren aktualiseras förutsättningar för ett hållbart chefskap d.v.s. att chefen fungerar i sin roll och mår bra. En litteraturgenomgång visar att chefers förutsättningar för ett hållbart chefskap är understuderat.En enkätundersökning genomfördes bland samtliga första linjens chefer och mellanchefer i ett landsting för att kartlägga hur inre, individuella faktorer respektive yttre, organisatoriska faktor påverkar ett hållbart chefskap i positiv respektive negativ riktning.
