Collections, compilations and databases currently stand under a solid intellectual property protection in Sweden. This legal protection is partly a product of the old Nordic ?catalogue-rule? seen in the former 49 § of the Swedish copyright act (upphovsrättslagen) but was further extended by the implementation of the EU directive on the legal protection of databases 96/9/EG and the new sui generis-right. Since major values are represented digitally combined with the fact that Internet serves as the main provider for information a strong legal protection for databases must be carefully crafted. When crafting this kind of legal protection the right to freedom of information is balanced against the database producers? interests of property protection as well as social and public interests such as increased innovation.

När en helikopter befinner sig i brownout saknar besättningen referenser till omvärlden vilket kan försämra det spatiala medvetandet. Om besättningen inte har koll på helikopterns position i luftrummet kan det leda till skador på både materiel och besättning i samband med landning. Denna rapport undersökte, på ett övergripande plan, vilka möjligheter sensorer inom det elektromagnetiska spektret hade att bidra med information till det spatiala medvetandet. Rapporten fann att sensorerna behöver vara anpassningsbara till följd av stoftmolnets vida varierande karaktäristik. Sensorerna hade möjlighet att generera en bild av landningsplatsen före brownout inträffar.

Traditionally risk-based measures have been used to assess animal welfare in legislation and certification schemes. With increased knowledge and research, debate today tends to focus on and advocate the use of animal-based measures. However this is not a panacea for welfare and the most sound conclusion should be that assessment of animal welfare needs both. The aim of this thesis is to identify the points that need to be taken into consideration to find the optimal balance in the use of input and outcome measures according to the aim of the assessment and how these should be applied when designing a certification scheme? To answer this, a comparison of the use of resource-based, management-based and animal-based measures in two certification schemes for dairy cow welfare, Freedom Food (UK) and Svenskt Sigill (SWE), was made.

The purpose of this thesis has been about processing an already existing folder for a tax funded organization which is also the employer for this mission ? Expectrum. The reason is that both Expectrum themselves and the recievers of the folder are unhappy with the existing material. The critic that has been directed to Expectrum is that the recievers have trouble understanding what Expectrum is and what they do. Based on qualitative methods such as interviews and text analysis I?ve been able to answer my questions for this thesis.

Electrooculogram (EOG) data was used to develop, adjust and validate a method for drowsiness detection in drivers. The drowsiness detection was based on changes in blink behaviour and classification was made on a four graded scale. The purpose was to detect early signs of drowsiness in order to warn a driver. MATLAB was used for implementation. For adjustment and validatation, two different reference measures were used; driver reported ratings of drowsiness and an electroencephalogram (EEG) based scoring scale.

Denna fallstudie har ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt och behandlar upplevda för- ochnackdelar med ett affärssystem i och utanför molnet. Sex personer från fem olika företag hardeltagit i kvalitativa intervjuer som har varit av semistrukturerad art. Syftet med dessaintervjuer har varit att ta del av användares och leverantörers uppfattningar rörandeaffärssystem som molntjänst jämfört med ett mer traditionellt affärssystem. Två av företagenlevererar båda tjänsterna och de övriga tre är olika användare. De olika kategorier som jagdelat in frågorna i har baserat sig på tidigare och relaterad forskning rörande affärssystem ioch utanför molnet.Studiens slutsats visar på att de är rätt jämt mellan upplevda för- och nackdelar med ettaffärssystem i molnet kontra ett affärssystem utanför.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how teachers use computer based assessment in their work and what user barriers they experience while working with computer based assessments. The result of the thesis is meant to provide an understanding of which factors affect the use of computer based assessments and how a company who provide computer based assessments applications can increase the rate of use amongst teachers.To investigate this, the author examined a company in Sweden who provide a computer based assessment application for both universities and high schools. The study was carried out at two different schools, a university and a high school, both located in Stockholm. In total nine teachers were interviewed. The author also conducted observations at the company whose computer based assessment application was examined.The author?s findings suggest that a lack of functions within the application and lack of costumer support from the company all negatively impacted the teacher?s use of the application.

The purpose of this Master's thesis is to examine whether a web-based library catalogue is to be considered user-friendly. We have examined this from a user-perspective by interviewing users of a web-based catalogue at a public library. In order to get a picture of the user-friendliness of a catalogue, the thesis is centred upon the following questions: How is a web-based catalogue used? What problems do the users experience? How is the catalogue perceived by its users? Since the producers of these catalogues now are taking into account the research upon human-computer interaction, we are also interested in finding out whether a web-based catalogue is more user-friendly than a more traditional OPAC. We do this by comparing the results of our examination with earlier studies of OPAC use.

Huvudsyftet var att ta reda på vad förskolebarn kan och tänker kring vattnets kretslopp och vattnets betydelse för allt liv på jorden. Samtidigt syftade undersökningen till att ta reda på pedagogernas arbetssätt och tankar kring dem. Undersökningen har genomförts med hjälp av kvalitativa intervjuer med såväl pedagoger som barn. Intervjuerna har spelats in och sedan transkribetats för att därefter analyseras. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att barnen har god kännedom om vattnets kretslopp och vattnets betydelse för livet på jorden.

Relationship anarchy is described as an ideology based on freedom. It is about the right to define their relationships as they like, as something constantly changing and that does not hold a specific value based on its label.

Inom skogsbruket i Sverige framställs årligen ett stort antal Skogsbruksplaner (SBPL) där subjektiva fältmätningar vanligtvis används för skattningen av de skogliga variablerna. Denna studie syftade till att undersöka möjligheterna att uppdatera Södras befintliga SBPL med hjälp av den nya nationella höjdmodellen och punktmoln med 3D data genererat genom automatisk stereomatchning av Lantmäteriets flygbilder. Skattningarna gjordes på avdelningsnivå med hjälp av en areabaserad metod. För detta användes Riksskogstaxeringens provytedata som referensdata vid framtagningen av skattningsfunktioner i form av regressionsmodeller. Sambandet mellan provytedatat och metriker beräknade från 3D punktmolnet användes för att utveckla regressionsmodellerna.

This paper aims to analyze if ground based air defence of the Swedish Defence Forces is sufficiently equipped to protect units serving abroad. The Swedish ground based airdefece has its roots in the era of the cold war but the focus of Swedish Defence Forces has shifted from defending Swedish territory to peace keeping and peace enforcement in foreign countries. First I will take a look at the base factors for ground based air defence units serving in a peace keeping or enforcing mission and then use this to define what abilities you would like to have in a ground based air defence system. Finally I will compare these abilities whit the abilities of the ground based air defence systems that are in use whit the Swedish Defence Forces.My conclusion is that the question can´t be answered on a generel level but every mission has to be analyzed individualy.The author of this paper is Cadet Tobias Jönsson studying at the The Armed Forces Technical School to become an officer in the Swedish Defence Forces..

Personlighetsgestaltningarna som skapades kallades ?Neutral?, ?Äventyrlig? och ?Sprallig?. Problemformuleringen bestod av att undersöka om animationerna för dessa stereotypiska personligheter kunde göras könsneutrala. Arbetet utgick från Isbisters (2006) rörelsemönster för personligheter, power centers (Lango, årtal okänt) och Labans rörelseteorier (Kundert-Gibbs & Kundert-Gibbs, 2009).
