En studie av upplevelser kring hur medarbetares idéer och kompetens tas tillvara i kunskapsprocesser : Möjligheter och hinder

Earlier research has shown that generational differences between younger-supervisors and older-workers may cause tensions that lead to team ineffectiveness. There is however still a lack of research in this area. This thesis presents possible tensions that might occur between a younger supervisor and an older worker due to their age and generational affiliation, and how these tensions affect the team dynamics. The empirical data collection was limited to the boundaries of the dental care industry where these generational/age differences between younger supervisor and older worker are common. The thesis looks at the tensions from a qualitative perspective and data was collected in the form of in-depth interviews with selected dentists and nurses.
Kraftig anemi hos tax :
The Clinical Pathology Laboratory at SLU in Uppsala has analysed several blood samples from Dachshunds with severe anemia. As there are no previous studies on this topic, a study was performed to evaluate if Dachshunds are more prone to severe anemia compared with other breeds. In addition, a retrospective case study on Dachshunds with severe anemia was done to search for common risk factors or diseases. Hemoglobin values in samples from 1272 Dachshunds and 2269 German Shepherds analyzed from September 1994 to October 2007 were used to compare the frequency of severe anemia in Dachshund and German shepherd. The samples were identified by laboratory information system.

Bipolar disorder is a severe, affective illness which causes a person to alternate between episodes of pathologically elevated mood (mania) and depression ? in between these episodes the mood is normal. The length and intervals between the episodes are highly variable among the ill, as are the severity which is divided into two major subgroups: bipolar I and II. Bipolar I disorder is the most severe because of the patient?s inability to realize that he or she is currently in a manic phase, in the case of bipolar II disorder, the patient is aware that he or she has an abnormally raised mood, a state which is called hypomanic state instead of manic.

AbstractThe aim of our study was that from a Preschool Manager?s perspective to describe, analyze and understand the function of special education and the Special Education Teacher?s profession within preschools. We conducted twelve interviews with Preschool Managers in two northern Swedish municipalities. From a theoretical base, we used both the relational and categorical perspectives. All answers from these interviews have been analyzed from these perspectives.

Violence and aggression is a common problem for staff in different care units. Caregivers often feel frustrated and unsatisfied in their work with these patients. Even caregivers with long experience finds it valuable to get education in management of violent patients. The aim of this literature study was to illuminate staffs experience in meeting with aggresive and violent patients. The method that was used was a literature research, where earlier research findings were read, analysed and put together.
Bestämning av syntetiska cannabinoider med gaskromatografi-masspektrometri
This thesis has been performed at Clinical Chemistry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg. The purpose of the project was to investigate new and alternative ways to determinate synthetic cannabinoids by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Currently, the possibilities to quantify synthetic cannabinoids are very limited. This can lead to an increased use of synthetic cannabinoids as the risk of detection is low, which may be known by drug users. The synthetic cannabinoids are sold mixed with different herbs and have varying names like Spice Gold, Spice Silver, K2, Smoke and Pot-pourri.The synthetic cannabinoids analyzed were JWH-018 and JWH-073, which are commonly found in seized Spice material.
Att anpassa sig som attraktiv arbetsgivare : En kvalitativ studie gjord på uppdrag av en mindre kommun hur de arbetar för att vara en attraktiv arbetsgivare
In recent years it has become way more important for organizations to use their brand to market themselves as an employer. In a market where organizations are competing for labor it has been known that the brand can make it possible for organizations to differentiate themselves as unique and attractive place of work. The concept is called Employer Branding and if an organization wants to suceed they have to have a clear and defined structure. The concept is well known among private organizations and not as common with the public sector. The purpose of this study was to examine how a small municipality in northern Sweden is working to be an attractive employer.
Undersköterskors och barnsköterskors erfarenheter av kompetensstegen inom akutsjukvården
Kompetensstegen är ett värderingsinstrument för arbetsledningen där vårdpersonalensförvärvade och behövda kompetens kontrolleras. I Västra Götalandsregionen använder intealla arbetsplatser kompetensstegen och de arbetsplatser som arbetar enligt den gör detta påolika sätt, detta kan försvåra undersköterskornas/barnsköterskornas möjligheter förkompetensutveckling och vid arbetsgivarens olika bedömningar och lönesättningar.Studiens syfte är att beskriva vilka erfarenheter undersköterskor och barnsköterskor har avkompetensstegen inom akutsjukvården.För att samla in data har vi använt en enkät med 38 frågor som delgavs 88 undersköterskoroch barnsköterskor, enkätens svarsfrekvens blev 69 %.Resultatet visar att kompetensstegen inte är någon bidragande orsak till att undersköterskoroch barnsköterskor söker sig till en arbetsplats som arbetar enligt kompetensstegen. Det ärheller inte ett skäl till att de kvarstannar på en arbetsplats som arbetar enligt kompetensstegen.Respondenternas erfarenheter är att kompetensutveckling inte har bidragit till att deras lönerökat mer än andra kollegors som inte arbetar enligt kompetensstegen. Det finns dålig kunskapbland respondenterna vad kompetensstegen innebär. Förutsättningar för kompetensutvecklingges av närmaste arbetsledning, trots detta kompetensutvecklas inte alla undersköterskor ochbarnsköterskor.
Kunskapen, professionen och makten ? En kvalitativ studie om socionomens villkor och förutsättningar
My main purpose with this study is to investigate how the social worker relates to knowledge, power and profession. From this purpose has also the concept ?to be a social worker? emerged.The study is based on a qualitative study and consists of semi-structured interviews with seven social workers from different fields of expertise.The result of the study shows that the knowledge is dependent of different fields of expertise. But in the contact with the client, regardless of field of expertise, the knowledge is gathered through a reflective pattern. Through theoretical attempts and earlier experience from social workers, this is brought to life in this unique meeting.

Upprepade ljusstimuli orsakar interferens i mörkeradapterade elektroretinogram hos hund : en utvärdering av några av European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology´s rekommendationer för elektroretinografi på hund
Electroretinography is an examination method where the function of the retina is objectively assessed. In 2002 the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ECVO) published a proposition to a standard on how to perform ERG examinations, to facilitate comparison of results and to make it possible to repeat examinations.
The purpose of this study was to validate parts of the canine ERG protocol suggested by the ECVO. Our principal aim was to study if there is any interference at the recommended stimulus intervals for dark-adapted rod- and combined rod-/cone responses.
The results show that there is an effect on the a- and b-wave amplitudes when different stimulus intervals are employed. When all examined intervals are pooled, there is an increase in the median b-wave to each consecutive dim, white (rod) stimulus in a series of four.

Betydelsen av kompetensutveckling inom olika verksamheter
För att förändra behövs tillgång till kompetenser. Olika verksamheter har olika
behov av kompetensutveckling för att nå sina mål. Att finna behov av
kompetenser i förhållande till verksamhetens mål, kan vara en början på att
rätt kompetens hamnar på rätt plats utifrån de satsningar som görs. En
utvärdering kan göras för att utvisa om verksamheten är på rätt väg mot
förändring. Uppsatsens syfte är att skapa förståelse för kompetensutvecklingens
betydelse för att verksamheten ska kunna förändras.
VENTURE CAPITALFINANSIERING-Hur skiljer sig de svenska Venture Capital?bolagens avkastningspotential för cleantech?investeringar jämfört med avkastningen för deras andra investeringar?
The report is a result of a bachelor thesis at the department of business administration, School of Business, Economics and Law, Gothenburg University, spring term 2008. The study examines the potential return of Swedish Venture Capital firms? Cleantech investments, carried out in 2006 and 2007, compared to the return on their other investments.The study has identified a number of factors affecting the return. These have been classified within three areas: the characteristics of the Venture Capital investment, the characteristics of the Venture Capital firm and the market potential for Cleantech. The impacts on potential return for these factors are investigated by means of an interview survey with 18 Swedish Venture Capital firm covering 45 investments in Cleantech.Our research indicates a worse potential return on Cleantech investments compared to other investments.
