This thesis has been carried out in cooperation with a company which develops mobile sensor platforms. The sensors measure different types of data such as temperature, pressure etc.. They will communicate through the internet with a server that stores data in a database. This system will be controlled and monitored through a web page. The project's aim has been to develop this system and to implement a server, a database, a website and a Client application that simulates sensor signals.

External Thoughts is a studio based project with its purpose to throughworkshops establish contacts and create a dialouge about the content of contemporarygraphic design. The project also aims to apply a design curaticalmethod where the designer is both Client and contractor, Client and designer.We also wanted to investigate the design content as open-source and examinethe school versus the Internet?s future role in the design and for thedesigner. The aim of this study was to understand how social workers perceive and understand violence and threats of violence from Clients, and how it effect their working environment. It seems that the respondents understand the violence and threats of violence from Clients as a result of the Clients background problems, vulnerability, dependency and from ?the reason" that the Client is currently in the contact with the organization. How respondents interpret the Client´s behaviour based on the above-mentioned factors, seem to determine how the respondents perceive and define the violence and threats of violence by Clients directed against them. Interestingly enough, although all respondents in the study experienced violence and threats of violence from Clients, none of them perceived themselves as exposed at work. The answer to this is consensual.

With this study, our purpose has been to achieve profounded knowledge and understanding regarding the use of discretion among social workers specialized in social allowance issues. The Social Services Act, structured as a framework law in the Swedish context, provides the social worker with a certain degree of discretion, in order to enable accommodated decisions depending on Client case specifics. This study problematizes these aspects of legal security, and our intention has been to examine which factors impact the assessments social workers carry out in statutory decisions of social allowance applications. To attain this, we narrowed down our intention into a number of distinct and delimitated research questions: (1) Which elements of the Client case impact the social worker?s assessment? (2) Which external aspects influence the social worker?s assessments and decisions? (3) How do social workers decide the Client?s credibility? In order to establish answers to our research questions, we have utilized a qualitative approach of research by exerting qualitative interviews in addition to a vignette study.

During the last part of the 20th century many companies has started to build their organizations on knowledge and information instead of manufacturing of products.  Today it is easier to communicate and spread information. At the same time the numbers of untraditional employments like temporary employments and workers from staffing agencies are increasing. Many organizations have higher employee turnover now than before. This allows more people to have access to confidential information, whose spreading might cause great damage for the employer.

The focus of this research is to investigate how the Client's emotions can affect the social worker and how the social worker manages these feelings in order to make the right decisions. We have used a qualitative approach in our investigation. We have interviewed six social workers at social welfare bureaux in southern Sweden. Our theories are ?Nai?ve Theory? and ?Affect Theory?.

The origin of the word ?communication? is the Latin word communicare, meaning to make common. The reason for our communication is to share thoughts, feelings and information, we want to affect and confirm.We are used to interpersonal communication, but even if we have had a lot of practice at it during our lives, we still find our selves facing misunderstandings and conflicts. The more people we meet during a day, the greater the chance is for interruptions in the communication.In pharmacy practice, good communication is vital for the Client?s health and quality of life.

The purpose of this particular study was to examine the Client relationship as described by social workers during the ongoing process of addiction treatment in conjunction with the effects on creating these relationships as affected by government stipulations. As a basis for the study, qualitative interviews were conducted with five separate social workers in the course of their work within addiction treatment. Results from the study were analyzed by means of power and dramaturgically roll theory. The social workers stated that it was of the utmost importance to create a good relationship in order to effectively help the Client. The social workers further stated that a good relationship was characterized by the virtues of cooperation, trust, and confidence.

Samtidigt ska möjligheten att använda lokala resurser både i form av mjukvara och hårdvara finnas, för att effektivt hantera den beräkning, visualisering och lagring som klienten nyttjar. Slutligen bör en Smart Client dra nytta av funktionalitet hos servers för att ge användaren tillgång till aktuell information.

In today?s society, many people are physically inactive and the health care is for example usingPhysical activity on prescription (PaP) to work against it. In order to increase the physical activitylevel in people they need to feel motivated and there are many factors that can motivate people. The purpose of this survey is therefore to explore the leaders of PaP and their thoughts about whatmotivates Clients with PaP to increase their physical activity levels. This is explored by aqualitative method incorporated with semi-structured interviews with four respondents who workswith PaP.

Over 90% of forestry work is carried out today by contractors, thereforeclear agreements between the Client and the contractor it is of utmostimportance. Today, Ericsson Microwave Systems (EMW) uses non-graphical user interfaces in some of their Ada95 applications. EMW wishes to develope a more easy-to-use and platform independent graphical user interface (GUI) for their applications. To meet these requirements EMW has chosen to evaluate Java in GUI development with Ada95. To make it possible for the Java GUI to communicate with the Ada95 application, some kind of standardized interface is required. CORBA is a specification of such an interface.

This paper examines how individual social welfare officers argue about the conditions in foreign aid. The paper is a qualitative interview study there nine social welfare officers from four local governments have been interviewed.The results are divided into two areas. First, the Client's responsibility over their own lives   and self-determination. These two areas are then analyzed separately.The analysis assumes an aletisk hermeneutics where the basis for the attribution of the result is Max Weber's vocation ethics and the more recent research about foreign aid.The conclusion of the study was that social workers believe that the Client's responsibility for their own self-sufficiency outweighs supply. Financial assistance must be justified in order to be paid regardless of whether this causes rejection of application for financial aid..

Aim: Auditors objectivity is an obvious part of auditing, but there is doubts and hesitation in society today because of the corporate scandals that have occurred in recent years. Several researchers suggest that auditors actions and behaviors is connected to the ethical climate within the organization. A relationship that also affects auditors objectivity and independence. This thesis aims to investigate how the ethical climate influence auditors choice of relationship to their Clients, by choosing a relational and close relationship or a transactional and distanced relationship. And if the Client approach have an effect on the auditors objectivity.Method: A survey was conducted among 232 certified accountants in Sweden.
