Den omvärldsförändring som skedde i och med Berlinmurens fall och upplösningen av Warszawapaktentillsammans med civil teknikutveckling under 1990-talet har bidragit till en nödvändigoch övergripande förändring av Försvarsmakten.Utvecklingen mot ett nätverksbaserat försvar är en av de största och mest omvälvande förändringarsom Försvarsmakten genomför i modern tid. Detta väcker tankar och funderingar kring hurNBF som idé dykt upp på den politiska och militära scenen i Sverige och hur den fortsatta övergripandeprocessen sett ut fram till och med försvarsbeslut 2001. Detta har i uppsatsen utvecklatstill två frågeställningar:? Hur initierades och etablerades NBF-konceptet på dagordningen och när i tiden skeddedetta?? Vilka politiska och militära händelser och beslut skall ses som avgörande under tidsperiodenfram till och med 2001 för utvecklingen av NBF-konceptet?.

I denna uppsats undersöks huruvida HPM (High Power Microwaves) kan användas som enverkansform i framtida luftvärnssystem för att bekämpa kryssningsmissiler. Studien undersökervilket hot kryssningsmissiler kan utgöra, hur de är konstruerade och hur HPM kan påverka dem.Uppsatsen redogör för hur det nya luftvärnskonceptet är uppbyggt och vilka krav på förmågor somställs på framtida luftvärnssystem. Den undersöker även hur ett HPM-system är uppbyggt ochvilken verkan det kan ha på elektriska system i en kryssningsmissil. Vidare diskuteras vilkeneffekt tre olika HPM-system kan ha mot kryssningsmissiler kopplat till de krav som ställs iluftvärnskonceptet.Huvudslutsatsen indikerar att HPM-system kan ha verkan mot kryssningsmissiler. HPM-systemkan nyttjas främst i scenarier där det ställs höga krav på eldhastigheten mot kryssningsmissiler påkorta avstånd.

The state of Israel is known as the only democracy in the Middle East. The purpose of this study was to examine if there is aspects in the Israelis society that can be questioned in terms of liberal democracy.Areas of concerns in the study are the Israeli official policy's concerning inclusion and exclusion of their citizens in areas of property owning, personal status and the duty of military service.The results show that the Israeli society distinguishes their citizens in these areas by their ethnic origin, in favour for the Jewish population. The law prohibits changes in the states Jewish character. One clear example how this is presented is that a Jew is prohibited to marry a non-Jew. The results show also that this official policy by the Israeli state violates important principles of liberal democracy.

I want to study the navigationsand interpretations of the different actors in the field in an explorative manner.? How do the leaders of the organisations interpret governing and strategic management? Whatconcepts are used? How is the leadership constructed?How do they discuss the demands of management and structure coming from outside theorganisations? How are the organisations shaped by accountability and normative conceptions of leadership?What is their view on the demands coming from within the organisations? What role does thedemocratic governance body have in relation to the employees and the management?What is their view on employment, relations with trade unions and employer associations andthe managerial position of the organisations?The Swedish context with strong emphasis on membership and democratic rights for themembers and volunteers has not gained a large impact on the international researchconcerning non-profit management. Our task was to create a virtual test bench for verifying memory addresses in our commissioning body?s models. The purpose with the testbench was that it should be created in such a way that it would be easy to change the device under test without any major changes in the testbench.To solve the problem that the testbench had to be able to verify different devices we had to create a general enviroment for how the testbench had to be composed. By doing an analysis of which com-ponents that are usually included in a testbench and which components that were necessary in our project we came up with a generall enviroment for the testbench. Our result was a testbench with the follwing basic functions:* Read from a file that contains read and write operations to the Device Under Test (DUT).* Apply the stimulus to the device* Read the results from the device* Compare the results with wanted values* Generate a log file which contains information about the simulation result..

This thesis is based on thirteen qualitative interviews with civil servants and politicians. The purpose of the study is to research these informants? attitudes towards integration and their reflections about immigrants? lower chances in an ethnically segregated housing and labour market. The theoretical frame of references is based on social constructionism and focuses on including and excluding power structures. The empirical material provides both structural and cultural explanations to immigrants? problems as regards inclusion in Swedish society.

Computer based information systems play an important role in modern military combat vehicles. The crew needs to be able to quickly get information about both the vehicle and its outer surroundings in order to quickly make the correct decisions. In this report, we describe the development of a prototype new information system for the BvS10 vehicle, manufactured by BAE System Hägglunds AB in Örnsköldsvik.An important aspect of the system is the time it takes from the point that the information is generated by the vehicle sensors until it is presented to the user. The system must be able to ensure that it never displays information that is out of date. Thus, it is important to create a layer and component based architecture for the solution, making it possible to control, in detail, the information?s age as it moves through the system.

Can meditation aid in a situation of conflict? This paper answers that question.The reason I chose to examine this topic is due to own positive experiences that convinced me of the link between meditation and conflict resolution. I wish to bring more light on this topic and to faciliate further research within the area.Through analyzing material on meditation, meditation and emotion and emotion and conflict, I find here that some of the effects of meditation has a positive effect on our emotions and also that we can work through meditation to learn about the way we act on our emotions and also how we can learn to act to our advantage. I also show how emotions play a vital role in conflicts between individuals and groups and that it is most urgent that we use what means we have to work conflict to our best use. I believe that conflict has it?s place in society and that good things can come from it, but that we can work with the conflict so that it does not escalate out of proportion.

This essay seeks to gain understanding on the thoughts of Konrad Adenauer regarding the future of Europe in the post-WWII era, and European integration in particular. The material used is his memoirs, which gives an insight into the part of his thought that he chose to share with the rest of the world. The essay uses an analytical framework of three theories, popular within the academic discipline of international relations: realism, liberalism and constructivism. The conclusion it draws is that none of the theories can in a satisfying way describe Adenauer?s thoughts, but rather that they all in some way describe certain elements of his thoughts.

Arbetet fokuserar på platser som har övergivits av industrin, i skenet av den post-industriella utvecklingen. What impact and effects are created by the placement of an international ranking? Could it be that a top rank is detrimental to an entire country's efforts to fight corruption?This bachelor thesis in political science is about Swedish corruption. In essence, so questioning the Transparency International's indexed rankings that placed Sweden in third place. Issues concern since if the third placement has created nonchalance and a careless mentality in Swedish government and in particular in the municipal operations. Research results show that Transparency International's rankings have low validity and low reliability and that the government is not acting sufficiently to prevent and fight corruption.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka vilka möjligheter och hinder ledare med utländsk bakgrund upplever i sitt ledarskap utifrån de nio kulturella dimensionerna från GLOBE- projektet. Fem intervjuer genomfördes med personer som hade invandrat till Sverige som vuxna och arbetade på mellanchefsnivå.Resultaten visade att chefer med invandrarbakgrund hade bidragit till sina verksamheter tack vare sina rötter och annorlunda livserfarenheter, berikade dem med nya vyer, synpunkter och förhållningssätt till vardagliga saker. Det som kunde anses vara det största hindret i arbetslivet var att de från början hade väldigt lite insyn i samhällets underförstådda regler, vilket kunde orsaka osäkerhet från början. Ett annat problem som uttrycktes var den svenska tillbakadragenheten med en avvaktande hållning och strikt regelföljning utan frihet att improvisera..

This thesis examines the relationship between OECD-DAC and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) within an aid efficiency context. The ability for these two actors to cooperate is highly important and determines the outcome for a major part of the development aid in the new millennium. The development agenda for the new millennium emphasizes aid efficiency as a key to a more successful aid, and this requires increased cooperation between all actors. The analysis made is a discourse analysis. The discourse of aid efficiency is analyzed, both its preconditions and results.The analyze finds out that there is a gap between OECD-DAC and CSOs in terms of how to handle aid efficiency.
