Det militära sambandssystemet RA180 börjar bli föråldrat samtidigt som mobiltelefoni utvecklas snabbt. Systemen skiljer sig från varandra ur flera aspekter, men den allmänna färdigheten i att använda mobiltelefoni ger fördelar för militärt samband. Tidigare forskning har visat att det finns en del brister hos mobiltelefoni, men hur dessa brister förhåller sig till ett sambandssystem som redan används av Försvarsmakten finns inte att studera.Den här uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka om det finns någon militär nytta av att använda mobiltelefoni för samband, istället för RA180. För att göra det görs en systemanalys där systemen jämförs och värderas sinsemellan. I uppsatsen framkommer flera av de möjligheter som finns om mobiltelefoni används som sambandssystem och en av de största är att systemet har en högre tillgänglighet tack vare den befintliga infrastrukturen.

The topic of this essay is the strategic importance of the Golan Heights during the period 1967-1973, specifically targeting the following questions;-          Why were the heights strategically important?-          What are the gains of either of the states in controlling the Golan Heights?A theoretical framework based on Jerker Widén´s and Jan Ångström´s Militärteorins grunder (The fundamentals in Military Theory) and its chapter regarding the strategic context will be used as an analytical framework.The framework has been applied on the specific conditions of the Golan Heights during a given and limited period of time; stretching from 1967 to 1973, however, the study will not deal with the war of attrition in 1970 as the impact on the Golan Heights and the surrounding geographical strategically important area was limited if at all. The two wars waged during this particular time are used in an attempt to give a somewhat objective picture of the strategic importance of the area.The conclusions are that the importance of the Golan heights during the selected period was significant as the Golan Heights provided a ?strategic lock? both ways and provides a favourable area to deploy artillery, intelligence and surveillance sensors..

Based on last years events that have taken place, events on the school Lundbergs and the police values of work, has the meaning of having a set of values been questioned. This study aimed to investigate and answer the fundamental values based on the common value basis for the government employees within an organization and how it perceived by employees. The new institutional theory was the framework for this qualitative study conducted with semi-structured interviews. Respondents were employees within the organization. Ethnographic qualitative methodology was the basis for our methodology and we used a thematic model of theme interpretation, communication and knowledge in our analysis.

Tractors of today come equipped with a CAN-system. A CAN-system sends information from sensors to electronic control units who process the signals. The sensors measure several interesting parameters such as force, pressure and speed for various components of the tractor. This thesis discuss a force sensor which is placed in the pivot of the tractors three point linkage, the sensor measure the horizontal reaction force from the load that the tractor is exposed to. Signals from this sensor can be used to measure the force from any implement that the tractor is exposed to during an operation.

AbstractAt the UN Conference on Environment and Development in 1992 the nations stated that traditional environmental policies were not sufficient to handle the multidimensional challenges posed by sustainable development. Governments needed to broaden their political decision making procedures in order to coordinate and integrate environmental, social and economic policies. Therefore a new tool was introduced in Agenda 21, National Strategies for Sustainable Development (NSDS). The aim of an NSDS would be to bring together actors from all parts of society to jointly reach a consensus on how to work towards the vision of a sustainable society. An NSDS would be seen as a strategic tool to help focus national policies for SD.

This paper discuss the possibilities to improve the Swedish political nomination system. It brings up some of the values and norms that can be used to change the existing system. Values as openness, the demand of responsibility and also if there is values from the American spoils system that can be used in the Swedish system. A minor purpose is to discuss the part of the parliament within the nomination process. To investigate this I have some theoretical starting points and a self constructed analysis tool.

ESAB is a world leader in production of welding consumables and equipment. The company manufactures, among other things, welding electrodes. A roller straightening unit is used in the cutting process to straighten the wire, which the welding electrode consists of, by adjusting some of the rollers during operation. According to ESAB?s standard and the European machinery directives, moving parts of machinery, such as rollers of the roller straightening unit, must be out of the operator?s reach.

Utifrån utvecklingen av smygteknik för stridsfartyg är det av intresse att studera densvenska flottans nya roll inom de framtida internationella uppgifterna. Syftet med dennauppsats är att studera hur signaturanpassning inverkar på stridsfartygens förmåga underdessa uppgifter. Frågeställningen är: Hur påverkar signaturanpassning ett fartygsförmåga då det används vid internationella humanitära och fredsfrämjande operationer?I avhandlingen diskuteras signaturanpassningens betydelse utifrån de tre följandepunkterna:- Olika former av signaturanpassning av fartyg- Tre olika svenska fartygstyper som är aktuella för internationella insatser- Teorier om vilken roll de marina stridskrafterna har i humanitära ochfredsfrämjande insatserFördelar och nackdelar summeras och kommenteras. Det framkommer två huvudsakligaslutsatser.

The purpose of this thesis is to explore and analyze the processes and efforts involved in rebuilding the war-torn state of Afghanistan. The examined period span from the fall of the Taliban regime in 2001, to the elections in 2005. This period, commonly known as the Bonn-process, sets out the initial time for the reconstruction of the state.A theoretical framework, which considers the necessary mechanisms for successful state-building, will be used to analyze Afghanistan's re-building process. The mechanisms include the prerequisite of a stable security environment, emerging from a cease-fire, together with the development of a well-functioning economy, re-introduction of rule of law and rejuvenating civil society.The failure to establish a secure environment has had a devastating impact on all analyzed aspects of the re-building process. It is therefore crucial that the international society continuing to assists the Afghan government in its efforts to strengthen its capacity, in order to improve the security situation.

I have studied how network in a broad sense can affect decision-making. The primary purpose is to see if the political initiative somewhere disappears when it comes to understand the relations between power, actors and politics. The study discuss in a theoretical area that concerns the reliability in neoinstitutionalism to use as an analytical instrument. Some criticism is given to the theoretical standpoint in the sense that there is no power perspective included in the theory. I include a discussion about a concept of power, which I include to the theory.

This bachelor thesis is studying the INTERREG cooperation between Denmark and Germany, and if there has been a change to the organization and the individual conditions due to the Danish regional reform in 2007. The research method used is semi-structured interviews and the participants are a mixture of politicians and civil servants. The study is based on two themes, change in work routines and cooperation, and change in visions and targets.The participants have experienced change, both positive and negative, in work routines and cooperation and to a lesser extent in visions and targets. Preparation is the key to success and makes the transition much easier, which has been the case for Denmark. Other mentioned aspects are more work due to more complicated applications, and that the politicians so far lack a regional perspective and tend to stick to the local.

I YS-NY studien (YTstridsfartyg NYtt) ingår långräckviddig precisionsbekämpning av markmål som en ny förmåga.Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa utvecklingen inom stridsdelsteknologin, och föreslå möjliga stridsdelsuppbyggnader förmarkmålsfunktionen. Arbetet börjar med att undersöka de politiska och militära förutsättningarna för att anskaffa ettmarkmålskoncept. Därefter belyses den framtida insats- och verkansmiljön, tillsammans med de idébilder som liggertill grund för Försvarsmaktens utformning, i avsikt att identifiera möjliga mål för konceptet. Dessa är baserade på kombinationsstridsdelar ochmodulära stridsdelar som är den troliga utvecklingen.
