Allt fler kvinnor söker sig till rektorsyrket. Medan yrket har blivit mer kvinnodominerat har även arbetsvillkoren blivit hårdare. Långa dagar med mycket oförutsedda arbetsuppgifter gör rektorsyrket till ett tungt arbete. Studier visar att det fortfarande är kvinnan som tar hand om det mesta i hemarbetet. Tuffa arbetsvillkor och mycket ansvar i hemmet kan leda till långvarig stress.

There are more and more elderly people and different diseases will affect them. How will the public care be able to face this need of care for the elderly? There are a lot that shows that there will be an increasing demand on the achievements of the relatives. How can this development be answered to? Shall the achievements be concentrated on giving support to the relatives, or will there be a concentration on nursing staff? The purpose of the study was to enlighten who elderly people will be nursed by if a disease affects them.

Fotbollsintresset har de senaste åren ökat avsevärt i Sverige. Man skulle kunna säga att framgången i VM 1994 var en bidragande orsak. Supporterpolis blev ett känt begrepp i samband med arrangemanget av EM i Sverige 1992. Fotbollshuliganism, dvs. våld som uppstår i samband med fotboll, är dock på intet sett något nytt fenomen i vårt samhälle.

The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of the Convention on the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, CEDAW, in Uppsala local council and county council. The aim is to examine how the respondents, in their daily work, understand and implement the convention as well as how they consider the prerequisites for a successful implementation. The study was conducted using qualitative interviews with three civil servants and four politicians. The theoretical approach was implementation theory whose concepts willingness, comprehension and capability were used as tools for the analysis. The results portray CEDAW as a well-known treaty amongst the respondents but at the same time absent in local politics and everyday work.

This masters thesis investigates the relation between China and the Information Society as it is manifested in the UN conference the World Summit on the Information Society WSIS. The first phase of this two-phase conference took place in Geneva 10-12 December 2003, with two documents, Declaration of principles DP and Plan of action PA, as main results. The information policy is central to an authoritarian rule in its efforts to keep control over the national identity. The thesis investigates the impact that the information revolution and Internet might have on the Chinese national identity through the acceptance of DP and PA in various aspects. With the use of the information science theories by Manuel Castells and Frank Webster, the vision of WSIS was compared with the Chinese information policy.

The Anglo-Saxon trust is not a new phenomenon, but existed as early as in the Middle Ages. The concept is customary among common-law countries, such as England the US,but unfamiliar to civil-law countries like Sweden. The person who creates the trust is called a settlor, the one who holds and administer the property is a trustee and the person who benefits from the settlement is called a beneficiary.In Sweden there is no legislation of how the trust ought to be assessed, but the need to understand it has probably increased with the internationalization.The Swedish Supreme Administrative Court has had a few opportunities to elucidate some of the uncertainties regarding trusts, but chose to abstain. With this The Swedish Tax Panel has very limited guidance from the court when they receive an application of an advance notice.A trust is not a legal entity nor a tax subject. The aim of this study is to look at how librarians express theirpart in reading groups organized by public libraries. Thestudy is based on interviews with seven public librarians insouth regions of Sweden. The main theory used to analyse isfound in the article Bibliotekaren som litteraturformidler(1994) written by the Norwegian librarian Jofrid KarnerSmidt, where she talks about five different roles that alibrarian can have in this context and how they appear. Threeof these roles were used in this study: the pedagogue, theliterature expert and the marketer.The interviewed librarians mostly had a similar view on howthey look at their role in the reading group. They saw theirpurpose as to provide all kinds of people with a possibility tojoin in discussions about mutual interests and share variousopinions about books.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to give the reader a picture of the experience of art and of its room in the public libraries, but above all to examine the phenomenon temporary art exhibitions in public libraries in the county of Östergötland. The study is limited to a specific activity of art, namely temporary exhibitions in libraries. Geographically, the investigation is limited to the public libraries and their branch libraries in Östergötland. Time concentrates on the present situation in 2000 and 2001. Methodologies are partly observations in some libraries, partly qualitative questionnaires to all primary libraries and their affiliates in Östergötland.

Ronneby flygplats är en flottiljflygplats som ägs och drivs av försvarsmakten och som är öppen för civil trafik. Flygplatsen är lokaliserad i Kallinge strax norr om Ronneby tätort i Blekinge län. Flygplatsens tillgänglighet med allmänna kommunikationer är idag begränsade. Syftet med studien har varit att analysera och karaktärisera Ronneby flygstationsområde samt bidra med förbättringsförslag till hur flygplatsens tillgänglighet kan öka. Analyser har genomförts för att försöka ge en god helhetsbild av planområdet och dess omgivning samt de olika faktorer som spelar in.

Den första januari 1994 infördes lag (1993:387) om stöd och service till vissa funktionshindrade. Ett av lagens syften var att minska de skillnader som fanns mellan olika kommuners stöd till funktionshindrade. Trots detta syfte finns det fortfarande stora skillnader mellan olika kommuner i det stöd som ges till funktionshindrade. Vissa kommuner ger upp till tio gånger mer stöd än andra kommuner. Uppsatsen baseras på den litteraturstudie som jag har gjort med syftet att undersöka vad som kan påverka att personer med funktionshinder får det stöd som de har rätt till.

Uppsatsens syfte är att belysa hur samhällsutvecklingen avspeglas i barnbilderböcker och hur barn och vuxna inom sjukvården framställs. De barnböcker som ingår i undersökningen ärNär Lasse Larsson åkte ambulans av Ann Mari Falk och Tord Nygren (1966), Emma hos doktorn av Gunilla Wolde (1977), Malin på besök hos doktorn av Bengt Fahlström (1983), Aj! eller när jag hamnade på sjukhus av Ann Forslind (1994) och Händiga Hanna lagar pappa av Titti Knutsson & Lisen Adbåge (2007). Utifrån metoden och teorin kritisk diskursanalys belyses böckerna, och textanalyserna kompletteras med analys av bild och grafisk form. Resultatet visar att budskapet framförs allt mer i bilderna. Olika former av påverkan från medier i det omgivande samhället, och samverkan mellan bild, text och grafisk form blir tydligare än i de tidigare böckerna.

Den ökade globaliseringen och den stigande medvetenheten om hur vi påverkas av vår omvärld har gjort att fler företag insett vikten av att arbeta med hållbar utvecklig, inte bara ekonomiskt och inom företaget utan också för samhället där de verkar. 1994 myntades uttrycket ?The Tripple Bottom Line? av John Elkington. The Tripple Bottom Line innebär att företags prestationer ska mätas utifrån ekonomiska, miljömässiga och sociala grunder. Trenden är att rapportera dessa perspektiv i en hållbarhetsredovisning.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att analysera vilka faktorer som påverkar bedömningen avom hästverksamhet ska beskattas som inkomst av tjänst eller som inkomst av näringsverksamhet. Med anledning av att rättspraxis i viss utsträckning är in casubetonad och saknar utförligare motiveringar är det emellertid omöjligt att täcka allatänkbara faktorer. Uppsatsen omfattar verksamheter med inriktning på ridsporthästar, d.v.s. ridsportverksamheter. Med begreppet ridsportverksamhet avserjag alla ridsportens grenar, såsom hoppning, dressyr, fälttävlan, körning och distansritt, och även andra hästrelaterade verksamheter som exempelvis ridutbildning, hästuppfödning, inackordering och hingsthållning.

The main aim of this thesis is to examine what motivates people to become entrepreneurs and how they are motivated to continue being it. We have decided to focus on four elements: the driving force of being an entrepreneur, the environment, the individual background and important personal characteristics of the entrepreneur. Qualitative interviews were carried out with six information consultants. The theoretical background has its focus on entrepreneurial motivation. A model of entrepreneurial motivation by Naffziger, Hornsby and Kuratko 1994 is presented.

The transformed municipality ? Economic and social growth in Örnsköldsvik 1997-2007Author: Kristina HanssonThis thesis focuses on the economic and social growth in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik. It is a single case study and the municipality is studied through economic theories concerning regional growth in the period of 1997-2007. The aim is to analyse whether these theories, such as Åke E. Anderssons and Ulf Strömquists K-society, and other more or less microeconomic assumptions, also are applicable in smaller local contexts.
