In this thesis I have criticized traditional nationalism theories formulated by Eric Hobsbawm, Ernest Gellner, Benedict Anderson and Anthony D. Smith. The critique has been based on my belief that nationalism theories do not explain nations whose foundation is built on forward-looking, dynamic aspects such as economy, human and civil rights, and democracy. Traditional nationalism theories have been focused on historicizing perspectives whereas I want to draw attention to non-historicizing perspectives within the field of research. So far nationalism theories has had a shared past or a shared ethnicity as its focal point.

Vid upprättandet av miljonprogrammet (1965-1974) skiljde sig stadsplaneringsidealet från dagens syn på hur en stad bör planeras. Idag står miljonprogramsområdena inför ett renoveringsbehov där evakuering av hyresgästerna under upprustningsperioden kan bli nödvändigt, likaså en hyreshöjning för att finansiera upprustningen. Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på hur ÖrebroBostäders (ÖBO) upprustningsprojekt Mitt Gröna Kvarter i miljonprogrammet Vivalla (på Visgatan i Örebro) är utformat, samt i vilket syfte projektet genomförs. Uppsatsen syftar också till att ge en bild av hyresgästernas reaktioner på projektet, hur beslutsprocessen går till gällande tillbakaflytt samt vilka möjligheter de haft att föra fram sina synpunkter. Följande frågeställningar besvaras i uppsatsen: Hur är ÖBOs projekt Mitt Gröna Kvarter utformat och vad är syftet med projektet? Vilka är hyresgästernas reaktioner och synpunkter på projektet och hur har deras synpunkter förts fram under processen? Hur resonerar hyresgästerna vad gäller tillbakaflytt efter upprustningen och vilken roll spelar informationen från ÖBO för detta beslut?Mitt Gröna Kvarter är ett aktuellt upprustningsprojekt i miljonprogrammet Vivalla, Örebro, där en upprustning av kvarteret Visgatan sker.

The purpose of this essay is to review the Swedish international development cooperation carried out by Sida to control whether the implementation of the international aid is compatible with the policy. There are a lot of different ways to implement the economic aid that are being used by the donors today. The Swedish method has since the 1960s mainly been focused on attempting to diminish the poverty in the world. In the latest time another goal has been added, that is a focus on supporting the civil rights. This essay will be concentrated to aim on what kind of countries receiving aid from Sweden, and exactly why these countries are being chosen.The main question of this essay is: What countries are receiving the international developing aid, and how can this distribution be understood? To answer the main question there are two themes in the essay:? What kind of countries is supposed to receive developing aid from Sweden according to the policy?? What kind of countries is receiving the aid, and how can this be understood?This essay is mainly based on quantitative data obtained from Sida, together with index of corruption and poverty will the different types of Swedish cooperation countries be described.The conclusions of this essay are that there are two objectives of the policy: to fight poverty, and to strengthen the civil rights.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and question the government survey 1956:43 Zigenarfrågan based on the theory of internal colonialism. An important question for the study is to elucidate and gain an understanding of the factors that led to Roma inclusion in the compulsory school. This survey of the goverment investigation is necessary because the state management of the Roma had to start the investigation, that led to a number of difficulties for the community. Miljöfrågor är i dagsläget ett ämne som intresserar och engagerar mångamänniskor på olika plan och inom olika ämnesområden. Kraven från vår regeringoch från EU blir allt stramare och inom området byggteknik finns idag krav på enbyggnads specifika energianvändning vid nybyggnation. Problemet är att det intefinns något specifikt krav på det befintliga beståndet och dessa byggnader har oftahög energiförbrukning. Möjligheten att det inom en snar framtid kommer kommakrav på det befintliga beståndet, likt det som finns för nybyggnation, är inteorimligt. Det är därför viktigt att redan nu se på vilka åtgärder det finns att vidtaför att sänka energiförbrukningen hos äldre byggnader och som riktlinje strävaefter att nå det krav som ställs på nybyggnation.Det finns många möjligheter och tillvägagångssätt till att energieffektivisera detäldre beståndet av bostäder.

The purpose of this master's thesis is to describe and analyse the origin and development of the libraries in the town of Värnamo, between the years 1908 and 1960, when a new modern public library was inaugurated. The method I have used is, to a great extent, examining and analysing source material from the archive of the municipality in Värnamo and the popular movement in Jönköping. As a background to my study I describe the development of the Swedish society, from the end of the nineteenth-, until the middle of the twentieth century. I also describe the local development of Värnamo, during the same period. Furthermore I also give a general description of the progress of the libraries in Sweden during the same time.

Denna studie undersöker bevakningen av Paralympics och hur den har förändrats i de svenska dagstidningarna Dagens Nyheter och Aftonbladet, från det första mästerskapet i Rom 1960 till det senaste mästerskapet i London 2012. Studien omfattar kvantitativ innehållsanalys såväl som kvalitativ textanalys. Avsikten med den kvantitativa delstudien är att undersöka omfånget av Paralympics-bevakningen i de valda tidningarna och hur det har förändrats under den valda tidsperioden. Avsikten med den kvalitativa delstudien är att undersöka hur språket och attityden gentemot Paralympics och dess deltagare har förändrats över tid. Den kvalitativa undersökningen görs med stöd av Michel Foucaults normaliseringsteori och Umberto Ecos receptionsteori.
