The intention of this essay is to describe the problems with loss of books at three Swedish University libraries. It?s based on interviews with librarians. The library codes of ethics, the library law and the terms of reference of the libraries are central for my understanding. Interview results: Little was being done to stop theft.

On the 1st of July 2011 a new education act was carried out, which elucidate that all education in course of a public principal shall be non-denominational. In relation to this a public debate about the educational system's policy toward religious institutions, particularly the earlier nation church Svenska Kyrkan, and religious traditions burst out. This thesis reconstructs the ?Lucia debates? that were kept during the years 2011-2012. The aim of this thesis is to identify the mechanisms of the Lucia debate's issue and progress.

The purpose of this study was to examine what previous research says about children?s experiences living in a low-income family. Its aim was to found out what children themselves say about their life living in a low-income family and what consequences, practical and emotional, low-income environment has on children. More specifically our aim was to find out how children themselves experienced their situation compared with their peer?s economical situation.

The Swedish state and educational system are secular, so to say they do not depend on the former protestant state church anymore. Many people in Sweden are also secular. Even so, in school teachers meet students with a religious faith. The purpose of this study is to examine how teachers without a religious belonging experience the encounter with religious students. The method used was semistructured interviews with five teachers in a upper secondary school in a multicultural suburb of Stockholm.

 Forskning från England, Wales och USA visar att antalet äldre intagna inom kriminalvården i de aktuella länderna har ökat under det senaste decenniet. I forskningen visas att det kan uppstå problem när äldre personer med speciella behov placeras i ett fängelse. Kriminalvårdens statistik 2007 påvisar att det även skett en ökning av äldre intagna i de svenska fängelserna. Dock finns det ingen forskning om hur det påverkar anstalterna. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa hur personal på några utav Sveriges anstalter uppfattar och ser på situationen med äldre intagna med specifika behov som placeras i anstalt.

This paper?s purpose is to examine a Swedish missionary activity from a human rights perspective. As a scope I have chosen the Swedish evangelical mission to Congo-Brazzaville, from its establishment in 1909 to the congolese church's self-determination in 1961. I consider certain elements of the missionary activity that affect human rights, to discover wether the activity was in order with modern day human rights standards or not. During these years, Congo was part of the French colony Equatorial Africa, so the missionaries? part in the colonial discourse is taken into consideration.

Intresset för bioenergi bara ökar. 2008 var den totala energianvändningen i Sverige 497 terawatt timmar (TWh), varav 125 TWh (25 %) kom från biobränslen (Elofson, 2009). Detta visar en bild av C16 och de kunskaper och erfarenheter som finns av aggregatet. Maskintillverkaren Bracke Forest som etablerades 1922 och har flera produkter anpassade för aktiviteter i skogen. Företaget investerar mycket pengar på forskning och produktutveckling. Skogsvårds och bioenergiaggregatet, C16, används idag till många olika arbetsuppgifter och i många olika länder.

The Anglo-Saxon trust is not a new phenomenon, but existed as early as in the Middle Ages. The concept is customary among common-law countries, such as England the US,but unfamiliar to civil-law countries like Sweden. In one of six garbage collectors area in Cairo, Esbet el Nakhl, there's a handicap school run by the Coptic church. We chose to study this school using observations and interviews. The purpose of our thesis has been to describe the school, the goals of the education and the educational forms. The questions we asked our selves before the trip to Cairo were; how does the school look like? What's a garbage collectors area? How do the teachers educate the children? How's the situation for the handicapped children?We spent six days of observations and interviews at the school gathering information for the thesis.

In this literature review the cemetery is studied in its role as a public space in an urban context. To be able to scrutinize the cemetery?s relationship to the public domain in the future, the cemetery?s background and history is studied in the beginning of the essay. The cemetery?s connection to the church, as well as a variety of other factors such as economic, architecture, hygienic aspects and different ideals has influenced the cemetery to be the place it is today.

I takt med klimatförändringarna ökar riskerna för översvämningar. En översvämning kan generera enorma skador och ekonomiska förluster för hushållen och samhällen. Ett resultat av det översvämningsdirektiv som togs fram av Europeiska kommissionen år 2007 är att det idag pågår ett aktivt arbete i många europeiska länder för att kartlägga riskdrabbande områden och öka informationen kring skyddsåtgärder, för att minska skadorna vid en eventuell översvämning. En försäkring kan till stor del täcka den ekonomiska förlusten som en översvämning kan innebära och på så vis skapa en trygghet hos försäkringstagarna. Detta arbete undersöker hur den samhällsekonomiska förlusten kan minska genom att minimera skadorna av en översvämning.

Övervikt och fetma är ett ökande problem runtom i samhället, något som visat sig genom ökade kostnader för överviktsrelaterade sjukdomar och sjukskrivingar. Syftet med studien var att genom en litteraturstudie undersöka hur en arbetsplats miljö skall vara för att främja de anställdas hälsa avseende övervikt, fetma, motion och kost. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie och datainsamling gjordes genom sökning av vetenskapliga artiklar på databaserna Academic Search Elite samt Highwire Press. Resultat som framkom var att arbetsplatser har goda förutsättningar för att främja den fysiska hälsan för sina anställda. Interventioner som har gjorts har fått goda genomslag och förbättrat både den fysiska aktiviteten samt förbättrat kosthållningen hos sina anställda.

This paper is about a new organization how to get smaller communities to join together and become much larger. The purpose is to find out why Norra Sandsjö community and Bringetofta and Norra Sandsjö parishes were separated when Sävsjö municipality block was formed. The purpose is further to find out what the councils of Norra Sandsjö, Nässjö and Sävsjö, the church council and the people who lived in the area thought about the decision that was made by the executive organization in this matter (länsstyrelsen in Jönköping). Voting was arranged amongst the people, who lived in the specific area that in the first inquiry was suggested to be connected with Nässjö municipality block. The source material gives the result of this voting and the opinions of Norra Sandsjö, Nässjö and Sävsjö communities in this question.

Ambitionen med denna uppsats är att skapa en bättre förståelse kring frågor gällande tillhörighet till religiösa samfund och olika religiösa värderingar som kan skapa friktion mellan medlemmar och majoritetssamhället. Syften med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur medlemmar i Svenska Kyrkan, Katolska Kyrkan och Jehovas Vittnen upplever sitt medlemskap i de religiösa samfunden de tillhör och vilka religiösa värderingar som kan påverka deras förhållande med samhället.I undersökningen använder vi oss av fallstudiedesign vilken vi senare tolkar utifrån olika teorier som handlar om olika typer av gemenskap (Stroope) och vilka värdesystem samt som ideologier påverkar samfundens medlemmars handlingar och deras relation till majoritetssamhället (Dumont).Undersökningen visar att en del kyrkomedlemmar strävar efter en gemenskap som de inte upplever i majoritetssamhället. Engagemang och tillhörighet till ett kristet samfund påverkas inte av majoritetssamhällets åsikter. Resultatet ger en bild av en stor upplevd gemenskap bland de kristna samfundens medlemmar vilka betraktar sin tillhörighet till respektive samfund som ett medvetet val. Deras gemenskapskänsla leder till att de behåller sina religiösa värderingar oavsett om det skapar friktioner mellan dem och majoritetssamhället. .
