Syftet med denna studie är att försöka uppmärksamma några lärares arbete med elever med AD/HD-problematik i en grundskola i Stockholms förort. Ungefär en av åtta elever som börjar skolan i Sverige har dessa symptom (Gillberg, 1996). Vi har valt att undersöka vilka pedagogiska strategier lärarna på skolan använder sig av med barn med dessa svårigheter i sin undervisning och i sitt bemötande. Vi har även valt att undersöka hur dessa lärare utformat klassrumsmiljön för att eleven på bästa sätt ska anpassas till den pedagogiska verksamheten samt tagit reda på vilken hjälp lärarna får från skolan i form av extra resurser. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie där vi intervjuat klasslärare, rektor och specialpedagog och sedan jämfört informationen från våra informanter med tidigare forskning och litteratur.

We have selected to research how pedagogues respond to students with ADHD. The essay will address the issues concerning the pedagogues own knowledge about ADHD. The non-linear film - a film telling a story using a reversed or scrambled chronology - has existed since the late 20?s, but just recently gained huge influence and popularity due to films such as Quentin Tarantinos cult-declared Pulp Fiction. The purpose of this paper is to perform an in-depth analysis of how New Public Management reforms have impacted management practises in two publicly financed elderly care providers in Sweden. The paper studies one public and one private elderly care provider and analyses to what extent they have implemented New Public Management methods. The results are based on interviews with several persons within the two organisations and analysed using the seven New Public Management doctrines as described by Christopher Hood (1991; 1995). The major finding in the thesis is that the level of exposure towards New Public Management reforms differs between the two studied organisations where the private provider is exposed to the reforms to a greater extent than the public. The paper concludes that the main reasons for the low extent of exposure in the public provider could be attributed to the lack of measurable standards performance as well as the proximity to the political leadership..

The critic of religions that these writers have brought to the table have not gone unmet, with writers like Dinesh D'Souza rushing to the defence of Chrisianity.Taking on the arguments of New York Times bestselling author Dinesh D'Souza in the current debate on the existece of God and the usefullness of religion, I here examine the claim by D'Souza that atheism, in fact, is responsible for the worst mass murders of history. In taking D'Souza's arguments and analyzing them on its own philosophical merits, with methods like the process of elimination and information evaluation (i.e source criticism), I will here show just exactly how persuasive these arguments prove to be. In the following pages we will not only discuss the role of atheism in 20th centuary totalitarianism, but also answer questions like ?Was Hitler an atheist or a theist??, ?Is atheism responsible for the worst crimes of history?? and ?Are people who believe in God in fact more moral the those who do not??.

Diagnosen Asperger syndrom är ett relativt nytt begrepp inom autismspektrumet. För bara 20 år sedan var syndromet relativt okänt världen över. År 1988 hölls den första internationella kongressen i London och där presenterades de första diagnoskriterierna av makarna Gillberg. Efter kongressen har ytterliggare tre kriterier uppkommit. Vi vill undersöka hur elever med Asperger syndrom uppfattar sin skolgång.

De neuropsykiatriska funktionshindren ökar. Efter att ha arbetat som resurs i skolan samt varit kontaktfamilj, väcktes mitt intresse för diagnosticeringsprocessen av neuropsykiatriska funktionshinder. Jag ville genom studien undersöka vilken inställning två representanter som finns med i diagnosticeringsprocessen har till denna och deras roll i denna process. Jag ville få en bred bild, som beskriver mina informanters inställning ur så många aspekter som möjligt och använde mig därför ett flertal olika teorier. Mina teoretiska grunder bygger på de generella begreppen; Maktprocesser, Sociala konstruktioner, Medikalisering samt stämpling.

This essay is included as a sub-study of a survey about child poverty, which the Department of Sociology at Uppsala University, the Ombudsman for Children and Gillbergska Stiftelsen (the Gillberg?s foundation) has been commissioned by Uppsala Town to implement. The intent of this essay is to investigate how three pre-school managers in the municipal preschool in Uppsala describe child poverty, how they see the preschool?s social responsibility and how they manage child poverty in their practical operation. The essay is a qualitative study and informants' responses has been analyzed and related to symbolic interactionism, the thesis theoretical basis.

Detta är ett uppsats på D-nivå. I en tidigare kurs, inom vårat program Data- och Systemvetenskap, kom vi på en idé om hur man kan förbättra/komplettera utbildningen av nyanställda som befinner sig i en stressig arbetsplats på företag där det är ett ständigt behov av återanställning av personal. Vi utvecklade detta koncept och kom med idén till en simulator som kan utbilda personal samt minska stress hos nyanställda. Idén mognade till en Serious Game simulator baserad på en Wii-kontrollerad PC-baserad simulator med Bluetooth-stöd.Syftet med denna uppsats är att skapa en guide om grunderna i en simulator som utnyttjar Wii-kontroller som externa inmatningsenheter. I denna guide kommer vi att täcka hur Nintendos Wii-kontroll fungerar, hur man kan skapa enkla 3D-modeller i Blender och även hur detta kan implementeras i Microsoft XNA.

Persons suffering from Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) struggle with complications within the functions that regulate and control the brain activities, due to deficiencies in these functions within the affected nerve-paths. ADHD is a cognitive function impairment characterised by inattention, impulsiveness and over activity. According to Diagnostic and Statistic Manual of Mental Disorders, American Psychiatric Association (DSM-IV), certain diagnostic criteria of ADHD must be fulfilled in order for a person to be diagnosed with ADHD. The everyday problems caused by ADHD are individual and medication can have positive effects relieving the person?s impairing behaviour.
