Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine whether hedge funds generate higher risk-adjusted returns than traditional managed funds in Sweden.Methodology: This study was based on quantitative data about the funds historical returns. The funds historical returns were taken from the database Morningstar and the risk-free rate from the Swedish central bank. Random samples of 36 funds have been divided into three portfolios in the form of a hedge fund portfolio, stock portfolio and mix fund portfolio.Result & Conclusion: The study concluded that the stock portfolio has shown the highest average yield for the study period where all portfolios below market index. Hedge fund portfolio has achieved the highest risk-adjusted return calculated by the portfolios Sharpe Ratio. Of all hedge strategies, arbitrage had the highest average return and risk-adjusted returns..

Syftet är att ur ett genusperspektiv undersöka hur människan framställs i fyra läroböcker om religionskunskap, avsedda för gymnasieskolan. Läroböckerna är från åren 1973, 1988, 1998 och 2006 och undersökningen intar således ett diakront perspektiv. Frågan är om framställningen förändrats under tidsperioden 1973-2006, och i så fall på vilket sätt. Metoden utgår från beskrivande idéanalys där textanalysen utgör ett verktyg för att kunna utröna underliggande strukturer i textmaterialet. Som verktyg används en analysmodell vilken i sin tur är förankrad i teorin.

Denna uppsats utgår ifrån Grönroos modell över total upplevd kvalitet och syftar till att undersöka upplevd väntetid som en del av funktionell kvalitet. Detta görs genom att studera om den omgivning som kunder väntar i kan påverka den upplevda väntetiden. Genom den tidigare forskningen har tre omgivningsfaktorer identifierats som kan tänkas påverka den upplevda väntetiden: tristess, osäkerhet och orättvisa. Fokus ligger på banktjänster och för att svara på syftet har en enkät delats ut till personer som precis genomfört ett bankärende. Svaren från denna har sedan använts i en regressionsanalys för att se om det finns några samband.

The aim of this study was to examine how some Swedish school counsellor?s describe their school social work and how they look at its content. Further more the aim is to look at what restraining and promoting factors the school counsellor?s experience in their working situation. The approach of the study is qualitative and interviews have been made with five school counsellors.

It is difficult for the person to cope with everyday duties as well as relationships with other people.The study revealed that the society should take action to prevent social isolation for those with mental illness. The central concepts of care theory is love, learning and well-being, where nurses' conditions and actions create results in the patient.Aim:Describe skills and prerequisites nurses need at the meeting of patients with mental illness. A further aim was to examine the ethical considerations included studies made use of.Method:A descriptive literature studyMain result:Nurses feel they do not have skills regarding mental illness. When nurses care for patients with mental illness are often formed stigmatizations regarding these patient groups and care will suffer.

Thavenius (2009:23-122) and Dahl (1999:49-82) explains that literary education in school has gone from, in the 1800s, barely existed on receiving the fairly central location it has today. Fredriksson (2010:2-3) points out that there are several threats to the ancient writers and writings in danger of being forgotten. The purpose with this essay was to examine how to work with literary history in school, and whether and how to work with regional literature history. To fulfill the purpose of this paper three high school teacher in Swedish were interviewed.The survey shows that respondents working in various ways with the history of literature, either in the eras, themes or projects. The perception of what literature and the authors to be affected varies between respondents, particularly the perception of the work about authors from Värmland.

I Förskollärarprofessionen ur ett förskollärar- och föräldraperspektiv författad av Jenny Wernberg och Therese Persson, studeras förskollärares och föräldrars syn på och uppfattningar om förskollärarens profession samt likheter och skillnader mellan dem. Vi har även studerat hur läroplanens införande har påverkat förskollärarnas professionalisering. Våra teoretiska utgångspunkter är begrepp som profession, professionalism och professionalisering. Kvalitativa intervjuer och enkäter har legat till grund för denna studie. Förskollärarna har ett helhetsperspektiv och pratar om sin profession och professionalisering på gruppnivå. De fokuserar mycket på läroplanen och vikten av att synliggöra verksamheten för föräldrar.

Syftet med denna undersökning är att ta reda på hur lärare i gymnasieskolan arbetar med fiktioner av olika slag och om arbetssätten skiljer sig åt beroende på om undervisningen sker i ett yrkesförberedande program eller ett högskoleförberedande program. Fyra verksamma lärare intervjuades utifrån en halvstrukturerad intervjuguide. Resultatet visar att lärarna har frångått de gamla traditionella arbetssätten där man ofta arbetade i kronologisk ordning och där eleverna fick skriva recensioner. Idag läggs fokus på att hitta teman, koppla fiktioner till samhällets utveckling och elevernas egna liv och erfarenheter samt att analysera fiktioner via gruppdiskussioner alternativt helklassdiskussioner. Filmens roll i skolan har fått högre status och filmens språk har tagit plats i undervisningen.

The smartphone has been transformed into a worldwide forum for information-rich exchanges between individuals and companies, by which this rapid access to the smartphone has created and continues to create opportunities in terms of communication. Many researchers of today undertake the challenge of studying the smartphone's role as a marketing channel, and the role of the channel is now undoubtedly central in marketing. However, as the importance of marketing communication increases and despite the fact that survey methods are exceedingly dependent on a channel to fulfill its purpose, namely carry out questionnaires, there has been surprisingly little attention to the study of the channel's role and importance when carrying out surveys. The main purpose of this paper is to investigate whether the choice of a communication channel affects the survey outcome and, if so, further investigate how survey methods differ in terms of consumers' attitude and also their perception of their privacy.

För att bli adoptivföräldrar måste man genomgå en utredning. Utredningen benämns som medgivandeutredning och innebär att socialsekreterare granskar om personer är lämpliga som föräldrar. Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att förstå hur adoptivföräldrar upplever en medgivandeutredning och hur de upplever att bli utredda av socialsekreterare.

The study aims to gain insight into how social workers perceive their psychosocial work environment and examine whether this effects the performance of their duties. The study mainly addresses the shortcomings of the psychosocial work environment of Social Services and the implications it entails for social workers health and wellbeing. The psychosocial work environment includes physical and psychological factors therefore the study's interpretive framework consists of organizational theoretical and social psychological concepts and previous research on the subject. We examined the organizational and social psychological connections to social workers perception of their work environment with a qualitative approach. The empirical data was collected through interviews with four social workers in a municipality in central Sweden using a semi-structured interview guide.

Syftet med undersökningen var att belysa skolgårdens konflikter sett ur ett pedagog- och elevperspektiv samt att undersöka hur konflikterna förebyggs och hanteras i enlighet med styrdokumenten. Undersökningen utfördes på två stycken F-5 skolor och var av kvalitativ karaktär. Metoderna var observationer av skolgårdens konfliktsituationer samt intervjuer med fyra pedagoger och samtal med fyra elever. Resultatet visade att de konfliktsituationer som uppstår på skolgården oftast är av liten karaktär, där inte så stora åtgärder behövs för att stoppa dem. Av resultatet framkom också att det förebyggande arbetet styrs av likabehandlingsplanen som varje skola ansvarar för att utforma.

Executive SummaryThis final thesis has examined the effects of an increased centralization and better coord­in­ation of the distribution logistics at ABB in Västerås. The company is today strongly decent­ralized and there is a minimum of collaboration between the 20 business units. This is why the questions were raised; how could the business units coordinate outbound logistic activities and what effects would that provide. The obj­ect­ive of this final thesis is to provide basic data for a future decision-making which desc­r­ibe these effects.The report has mapped out the factors that are important to ABB in an evaluation of their logistic activities and how the outbound logistics work today. The four factors are cost efficiency, delivery service, environmental impact and logistics capability.
