Abstract The aim of this paper is to investigate whether Vara municipality has a continuous picture of their identity, profile and image. Globalization has contributed to the increasingly growing of place marketing. Therefore, the study goes on to using the concepts of identity, profile and image to find out if Vara Municipality communicates similar throughout the whole organization and find out their all through core values. Globalisation will be an interpretive framework for the work that describes why the place marketing is becoming more pressing. The sense of place will be a central part of this study as it is the feelings and images of different places that will be described by the municipality together with the identity, profile and image.

This thesis aims to examine the conditions for entrepreneurship in Taiwan by the occurrence of cultural phenomenon guanxi. Based on the concept of familiness and guanxi, the family is central in this study of family business. Traditional descriptions of the Asian culture claim that guanxi is vital in the business context. Though, recent studies indicate that significance of guanxi seems to be changing. Therefore the purpose of this thesis is to create an understanding of the importance and relevance of guanxi in the context of Taiwanese family business.By travelling to Kaohsiung, Taiwan to interview six managers of Taiwanese family firms this study?s empirical material was gathered for further processing based on a qualitative approach.

Kursplanen för svenska (Skolverket, 2000) återkommer ständigt till att litteraturen bör ha en central roll i undervisningen. Litteratur beskrivs som något man kan lära och uppleva genom, dels om sig själv, dels sin omvärld. Syftet med denna studie är att belysa vilken skönlitteratur lärarna använder i svenskundervisningen på högstadiet, hur den väljs samt hur lärarna väljer att arbeta med den. Våra informanter består av lärare, från två olika skolor med skilda förutsättningar. Av studien framgår att skolorna trots andra skillnader är relativt lika gällande skönlitteraturen och dess roll i svenskundervisningen, vilken samtliga lärare beskriver som central.

Sammanfattning Syfte:Syftet med vår undersökning var att skapa förståelse för hur företag arbetar med etiska och moraliska frågor i samband med ekonomistyrning. Metod:Vår undersökning har gjorts i tre svenska företag genom personliga intervjuer med personer i chefs- eller ledarposition på varje företag. Den insamlade empirin har sedan sammanställts och analyserats genom att jämföra den med vårt teoriavsnitt. Slutsats:Vi har kommit fram till fyra punkter som enligt vår undersökning är centrala för arbetet med etiska och moraliska frågor i de företag vi undersökt. Dessa är värderingar, förståelse, ledarskap och företaget. Abstract Purpose:Our purpose was to clarify how companies work with ethical matters in relation to its management control system. Method:Our thesis has been prepared at three Swedish companies where we have completed personal interviews with people in management or leading positions in each of the companies. The collected data was analyzed and compared to the different theories presented in our theory chapter. Result:We have found four central elements, which according to our research are central for the work with ethical matters in the companies we have researched. Uppsatsen består av en fallstudie av IF Metall där intervjuer utförts på tre nivåer inom fackförbundet, lokal, regional och central. Uppsatsen syftar till att visa på åsikter över rådande situation av anslutningsgradsnedgång inom facket, även sett ur en postfordistisk synvinkel.Uppsatsen använder sig av Anders Kjellbergs forskning kring facklig anslutningsgradsnedgång som forskningsläge vilket visar på en stadig nedgång med tillfälliga fluktueringar från 1970-talet till 2012, och syftet är att ge ett perspektiv inifrån IF Metall över rådande situation.Resultatet visar att det finns en diskrepans mellan regional och central nivå huruvida postfordism är ett utbrett fenomen och om det är ett arbetsätt som kommer spridas mer inom industrin i Sverige. Samtliga nivåer är överens om att regeringens agerande och höjningen av a-kassan var en stark orsak till senaste tidens anslutningsgradsnedgång. Även liberalisering och rådande kultur av individualism bland yngre generationer samt undermålig utbildning över facklig verksamhet från grundskolans nivå nämns som tänkbara orsaker till nedgången inom den fackliga rörelsen..

The public library´s overall purpose and legitimacy is analways relevant subject for discussion in Library andInformation Science and in public debate on libraries.Libraries are a part of a bigger societal context and are thusinevitably influenced by societal changes. In this thesis wehave studied different roles and functions of the publiclibrary, as seen from documents published by one specificpublic library in Malmö - Garaget. As basis we have usedan analysis model of the library in the knowledge andexperience society made by Jochumsen, HvenegaaardRasmussen och Skot-Hansen (2010). Our purpose has beento examine which ideas and notions on the functions of thepublic library that can be found in Garaget?s documents andin the model ? and to discuss them from a discoursive pointof view.

Uppsatsens syfte är tvåfaldigt. Dels syftar uppsatsen till att undersöka hur kommunikationen under krisen fungerade mellan inblandade myndigheter (Kungsbacka kommun, Räddningstjänsten i Storgöteborg, Polisen i Hallands län och Landstinget Halland), massmedier och medborgare.Dels syftar uppsatsen till att undersöka vilken roll internet spelade i kriskommunikationen under de 17 dagarna i mars 2005.Studien har genomförts främst genom samtalsintervjuer. Utöver det har skrivna redogörelser, pressmeddelanden, artiklar och andra dokument granskats.Studien visar att kommunikationen mellan myndigheter, massmedier och medborgare fungerade bra. Samordningen mellan myndigheter fungerade väl, mycket tack vare ett upparbetat nätverk. Likaså var kontakten med massmedia bra.

In Kenya, many families subsist on agriculture and of the country's around 40 million residents 70% work in the agricultural sector. 50 % of the country's gross domestic production (GDP) comes from farming, and thus the country is largely dependent on income from this sector. Kenya's population has tripled in recent decades, which have led to that food availability is a growing problem. To ensure food security, it is important that the return from crops increases. The aim of this study is to evaluate what impact the use of fertilizers and improved seeds has for farmer?s economic situation and income generation.

This master?s thesis looks at discourses that use the pronoun ?hen?. The media debate in Sweden over this pronoun in 2012 started in connection with the publishing of a children?s picture book: Kivi och monsterhund, by Jesper Lundqvist and Bettina Jansson. The essay investigates how eight librarians, who take an interest in and work with gender issues, talk about the pronoun hen and about this picture book and other books that have characters which are not named as a sex/gender.The essay takes a discursive perspective on reality and on the construction of knowledge and carries out a discourse analysis of the librarians? talk in the qualitative interviews that were made for this study.

This study is about how the dialog can help students with special needs to feel participation and inclusion in the class and the teaching. My purpose with this study was to look for how the students with special needs interact with other students and teachers through the dialogue. I also wanted to know if there is any positive and negative effects to teaching students with special need in the classroom compared with the teaching at the special teacher.I have taking purpose of the sociocultural theory in my study because it says that children learn together when they communicate with each other. The theory central words are dialog and scaffolding in the zone of proximal development. I also describe central words like participation, inclusion and students with special needs in the special teaching.I have investigated in four interviews, two of them were with a teacher and a special aids teacher, and two of them were students with special needs.

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the places importance for young people with disabilities. The study?s central questions are what type of places they visit and what characterizes them. It is also about answering the questions why the places are visited and what meaning this has for participation and identity. The study´s central concept is room/place, participation and identity.

Denna studie åsyftar till att bidra med ny kunskap och utgöra en språngbräda för fortsatt forskning.Syfte:Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka vad Luleå Hockeys åskådare anser om publikupplevelsen i Coop Norrbotten Arena i dagsläget och vad - om alls något - de anser kan göras för att skapa en mer tillfredsställande upplevelse.Metod:Studien har tillämpat en hermeneutisk kunskapsteoretisk utgångspunkt och det empiriskt insamlade materialet har inhämtats genom webbenkäter, fysiska enkäter, intervjuer och observationer. I och med att mer än en insamlingsmetod har valts har metodtriangulering tillämpats i denna studie som uttryckligen har en kvalitativ ansats.Resultat:Studiens resultat påvisar att det finns utrymme för utveckling vad avser publikupplevelser i Coop Norrbotten Arena.

Women today feel that their urban surroundings are unsafe, and because of that they use different strategies to reduce the risk of being exposed to criminal acts towards them. The focus of this study is to develop an understanding of the insecure feeling that women feel and what that feeling might originate from. By using previous research and theories we have been able to incorporate a gender perspective on the study this because the gender role is central to understand women?s feelings of insecurity. The purpose of the study was to develop a deeper understanding of women?s sense of safety and insecurity.The central questions of the study are1.

In the coming years, organic food waste will be collected in the region of Gästrikland, Sweden. The collection is planned to cover the entire region by the end of year 2007. To start with, smaller amounts are being collected and transported to a central composting plant in Sala. However, a central composting plant in the region of Gästrikland is projected.The objective of this thesis is to evaluate a number of possible methods for composting of organic food wastes regarding their environmental impacts and localization.There are four scenarios for future composting of organic waste that have been evaluated. There are two that consist of membrane composting, either in Sala or in the region of Gästrikland.
