Det här arbetet undersöker hur klickbara ikoner i spel grafiskt borde utformas för att mest effektivt kommunicera sin funktion till spelaren. De riktlinjer som används för detta utgår främst från forskning kring människors interaktion med datorer och kognitiv perception. Arbetets problemformulering frågade sig om användandet av mänskliga figurer, som en del av ikonutformningen, kan hjälpa detta kommunicerande.För att testa detta togs två versioner av fyra olika ikonerna fram, en med mänskliga komplement och en utan. Ikonerna utformades till ett lärospel för Balthazar Science Center, vilket utvecklades i samband med denna undersökning. Frågeställningen testades genom intervjuer med elva- till tolvåringar, alltså spelets målgrupp, vilka fick gissa ikonernas funktion utifrån den grafiska utformningen.Resultatet visade på att de mänskliga komplementen inte gav någon märkbar fördel för ikonutformningen, och att ikonförståelsen i stor grad berodde på respondenternas tidigare spelvana.

AbstractIn the past decades the newspaper industry went through many changes but it has never had a problem of this kind. With the freedom the Internet brings us today and the wide range of information channels, the newspaper is for the first time seriously challenged.When the newspapers began to establish themselves on the internet they thought it was only to copy the content of the newspaper on to their webpage and the advertisers would come along. This move was not planed and had no vision. When the advertisers discovered Internets wide range of advertisement platforms they started to look for other places they could put their ads. This thesis is about the local newspapers ability to address the problem that the internet has created. I based my study on the following issues:Why has internet caused this problem for the newspapers?What are the prerequisites for local newspapers when they face challenges from the internet?How have the advertisers acted after the emergence of this challenge?To answer these questions I did qualitative interviews with different personalities within the newspaper industry, two local newspaper executives and two professors in media economics. In conclusion the result shows that there are different opinions regarding these questions and different views of how to solve them.

This thesis investigate how energy efficient measures has spread throughout the data Centers in Sweden. These questions are put up against a theoretical use of such concepts such as green IT, technological evolution, large technical systems and knowledge dissemination. These theories are used to answer the questions that are encountered during the study, such as how green IT is approached, how big of a role environmental thinking has had in the evolvement of these new technologies. The study has been conducted in a longitudinal manner, it is an observation of the phenomenon that is data Centers over a longer period of time. 23 non structured interviews spanning over 27.5 hours of recorded material have been conducted alongside a study of archived material.

The purpose of my essay is to study the current debate on public library as a meeting place in the Swedish daily press. I have examined how the meeting function is used and how it is perceived and what it might mean to the public library. Through a selection process, I chose 18 relevant newspaper articles from the year 2006 to 2012. By implementing a content analysis, three themes were distinguished; ?the meeting place as a place to reside on?, ?the meeting place as an inclusion? and ?the meeting place as a culture and activity house? I have used Andersson, Scot-Hansen and Rabers theoretical models of the library's roles for my analysis.

The aim of this thesis was to study elderly people?s experiences of and approach to their usage of home care services with tax deduction. The aim was also to describe how elderly people reason about their underlying motives of using home care service with tax deduction. The study is based on six qualitative interviews with people between the ages of 65 and 80, living in Nacka, Sweden. This thesis is a collaboration with Stiftelsen Stockholms la?ns A?ldrecentrum/ Stockholm Gerontology Center and part of their follow up study concerning simplified administration for elderly people applying for home care services in Nacka.

I denna pilotstudie utvärderas KomRett, en kommunikationskurs för närstående till personer med Rett syndrom som genomfördes för första gången hösten 2009. Målsättningarna med KomRett var att öka kursdeltagarnas kunskap om kommunikation och strategier för att stimulera kommunikation samt grafisk AKK med eller utan ljud. Kursen utformades med utgångspunkt från innehållet i föräldrakurserna i projektet AKKTIV vid DART Center i Göteborg (Alternativ och Kompletterande Kommunikation Tidig InterVention till föräldrar som har barn med kommunikationssvårigheter). Kommunikationspartners till fyra personer med Rett syndrom deltog i studien. I utvärderingen användes analys av olika skattningsformulär samt videoanalys av filmer från två kursdeltagare.

This thesis deals with past and present political attitudes towards the Öresund bridge. It describes the decision making process which preceded the construction of the bridge, and has a short historical introduction to it. It then presents the attitudes towards the bridge of five different political parties, all represented by regional politicians. This empirical information was obtained through interviews with politicians and literature studies. The author then analyzes the empirical information with the help of the human ecological triangle developed by Steiner, and the Center-periphery theories of Wallerstein and Persson.To conclude, the author describes what the central problem is in the case of the Öresund bridge from a human ecological perspective and analyzes the empirical data collected..

This thesis aims to research how megacorporations are depicted in popular media by analyzing the video game Cyberpunk 2077. In this assignment I focus on how the narrative of said game discusses economic globalization, megacorporations specifically which is accomplished using a set of theories such as: exploitation, commodification and capitalist realism. The analysis is constituted using a modified version of narrative analysis in order to better suit my research field as well as presenting a clear and concise structure a reader can follow. This study concludes that Cyberpunk 2077 constructs a dystopian world with the megacorporations holding the political power where the majority is constantly oppressed by the 1% in power. Things that we find human are questioned and diminished in order to increase the profits of those in power which tends to be the megacorporations.

Bakgrund: Trots allmänna råd och riktlinjer råder stor brist på nutritionskunskaperna inom hälso- och sjukvården i hela Europa. Många äldre riskerar att drabbas av undernäring och får ett minskat välbefinnande och en för tidig död. Genom att arbeta med att personanpassa kosten kan patienten få bli aktiv i egna beslut som påverkar dennes liv och hälsa. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa omvårdnadspersonalens erfarenheter av kost som ges personanpassad på ett korttidsboende för äldre. Metod: I denna studie användes induktiv ansats där datamaterialet analyserades med kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Sex omvårdnadspersonal intervjuades på ett korttidsboende för äldre i södra Sverige. Resultat: Ur analysen av datamaterialet fyra kategorier; utgår från patientens syn på situationen, möjliggör val, möjligheter i måltidsmiljö, begränsningar i arbetsmiljön med åtta underkategorier.

Previous research has shown that children with multiple disabilities have been able to learn to make choices. Practising choice making is a good way to introduce an intervention using Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). Choice making with objects should then be trainded before choice making with pictures. The present study is a single subject experimental design and was accomplished at a Center for children with disabilities in Tanzania during 12 weeks. The primary purpose was to examine if the number of choices made by two boys with cerebral palsy increased after communicationintervention with objects and pictures.

Syftet med den här studien var att få en bättre förståelse för hur arbetet med personlig försäljning kan beskrivas i små och medelstora företag. Syftet nåddes genom att undersöka försäljningsprocessen och de olika rollerna inom försäljning. För att nå studiens mål utförsdes fallstudier på fyra svenska små och medelstora företag inom livsmedelsindustrin. Personliga intervjuer genomfördes med representanter för Jonssons Chips, Bergnäsets Bageri, Polarica och Piteortens Chark. Resultaten från den här studien visar att existerande teorier inom personlig försäljning inte alltid passar för att beskriva personlig försäljning i små och medelstora företag.

Dagens trend av industriell tillverkning och konsumtion är av linjär karaktär. Material utvinns, blir produkter och hamnar sedan på deponi. Detta examensarbete har tillsammans med Industrial Development Center AB syftat till att skapa en mer hållbar industriell tillverkning inom Skaraborgsregionen, genom att forma en produktutvecklingsprocess i enlighet med cirkulär ekonomi. Cirkulär ekonomi förespråkar att avfall inte får förekomma och att produkter och material ska cirkulera i kretslopp. Projektet bestod därför av en bred förstudie för att samla och utvärdera ett stort område med teorier, processer och företagens ansvarsroller.

During five weeks the authors, two physiotherapy students, completed a clinical practice at the rehabilitation Center Pina Palmera, Zipolite, Oaxaca, Mexico. At the beginning of the period a critical incident was chosen, when the head physiotherapist for the ward Cuidados Especiales intended to sell jewellery to the authors during a treatment of a patient. The authors have by using the reflection framework "Framework to guide reflective process", and Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) for analysis, discussed different ways of communication, adherence, education, and self-reflection and critical thinking.

Every second woman in Sweden suffers in their lifetime of fracture that is related to osteoporosis. Osteoporosis and fractures affect the person´s everyday life. The aim of the study was to describe experiences of feeling well among women with osteoporosis. Six women were interviewed with semi- structured interviews. The interviews were transcribed and the text was analyzed with thematic content analysis.
