The aim of the study was to investigate how teachers work with reading aloud. The aim also included examining their ideas about and motives for reading aloud. The study consisted of interviews with three teachers at the lower level of compulsory school along with observation of one of these teachers during a reading aloud session. The interviewed teachers work at three different schools in the same geographical area.The analytical tools chosen for the study were the theories of Rosenblatt. This comparative linguistic textstudy focuses on the relationship between a newspapers own outspoken political standpoint and it´s ambition of being an unbiased provider of objective information. This connection becomes particulary interestering in times of election when a newspapers role as provider of information is of great importance for the citizens. When a newspaper reports an event to the public, the reporter always has to choose from a small selection of possible linguistic forms when representing the story. Through linguistic analysis of these forms we can see that the final choice is often not a complete arbitrary one. We compared two daily newspapers, Dagens Nyheter and Dala-Demokraten, that stod on opposite sides in the Swedish EMU-elections 2003.

Så har även den deltagardemokratiska debatten. Den dominerande debatten tenderar att fokusera på hur deltagardemokrati utövas i västvärlden. Med detta enkelspåriga fokus, finns det risk, menar vi, att andra länders deltagardemokratiska former utesluts.För att påvisa denna exkludering, används empiri från två fall i tredje världen där deltagardemokratiska inslag införts, Porto Alegre och Kerala.

The aim of this study has been to highlight how school social workers experience their discretion, and furthermore how they feel about working in a context mainly dedicated to teachers. The study is executed with a qualitative research method where ten interviews with school social workers, in eight schools in the area of Stockholm have been conducted. The theoretical framework used to analyze the results was discretion, street-level bureaucracy and human service organizations.The main findings of this study imply that the most important ambition of the social work that was conducted in the schools was to help the students reach their knowledge goals. The assignment is, however, not clearly defined, which has lead to school social workers defining the mission and goals themselves. They all have wide discretion and great possibilities to decide how to execute their work, but how they use the freedom that was given seems to vary among them.

 The english name of this essay is ?One man among many women?. This essay takes its starting point in the situation today with few male teachers in the earlier years of elementary school. I have decided to look at the small group of males that actually started the education to become teachers and why they did it when the profession as teacher today is low-paid, low status and is a profession with a large dominance of female teachers. Syftet med detta arbete var att försöka finna motiverande arbetssätt som möjliggör att läs- och skrivglädjen väcks/utvecklas i den klass där vår verksamhetsförlagda del av lärarutbildningen var förlagd höstterminen 2005. I teoridelen redogörs det dels för olika teoretiska utgångspunkter gällande vår syn på kunskap och lärande och dels för de teoretiska utgångspunkter som motiverar vikten av arbetet med läs- och skrivundervisning i skolan. Slutligen redogörs även för olika teoretiska utgångspunkter vilka lett fram till valet att arbeta utefter ett tematiskt arbetssätt. Vi har använt oss av intervjuer av såväl elever som aktiva pedagoger i vår datainsamling. Elevintervjuerna låg till grund för utformningen av arbetssättet och syftet med pedagogintervjuerna var att ytterligare utveckla vårt kunnande inom läs- och skrivundervisning.

Hans Olof Alsén, born 16 august 1926, is a Swedish Social Democrat politician who served as the County Governor of Uppsala from 1986 to 1992. During the 1960s, -70s and -80s he had several political commissions including Member of Parliament and government Undersecretary. In addition he had numerous Board of Directors assignments in different business corporations as well as in non commercial associations both prior to, during and after the County Governor period.This paper describes the organizing and cataloguing of Hans Alsén's personal archives. The documents at hand were deposited at the regional state archives (Landsarkivet) in Uppsala in 2008 and 2009 by Alsén himself. The documents almost exclusively cover the County Governor years 1986-1992.

Stress och träning är ett omdiskuterat fenomen bland människor, i media och i reklam i dagens samhälle. Allt fler människor studerar också på universitet och högskolenivå för att lyckas ta sig in på arbetsmarknaden. På högskolenivå krävs det stor ambition av individen för att klara av de krav som finns. Vår studie vill öka förståelsen för hur unga högskolestudenter upplever stress samt hur deras fysiska träning kan vara ett verktyg för stresslindringen och identitetsskapandet. Socialpsykologiska teorier om identitetsskapande i ett senmodernt samhälle var utgångspunkten för att belysa fenomenet.

This thesis is a report concerning the practical aspects on exhibition techniques. During an internship at the National History Museum in Stockholm I participated in the work with their new, temporary exhibition Gränslöst - en global utställning på Historiska museet [Boundless - a global voyage of discovery at the National Historical Museum]. I was part of a small project team of museum staff. The purpose of this exhibition was to show how cultures have met and influenced each other throughout history. The National Historical Museum has in its collections and exhibitions several examples of objects that has been imported from or inspired by other cultural areas.

AbstractMy feature career as a teacher, for the early years of compulsory school, makes it interesting to finding out of how teaching religion can be donned. I am interested in what methods can be used for teaching religion That?s why my purpose aims to find out how five different teachers, of the early ages, works and what methods they use while teaching religion. My issue for this composition is: what methods, or to a point - methods supported by different teaching models, can be used for studying religion in compulsory school? Empirical and specialized literature points in the direction fore methods like storytelling, load reading, drama, group works, independent searching of information, working books and so on.

Research question: How does the industrial company Scania work to get more women in leadership positions?Purpose: The purpose of this work is to describe how companies in a male-dominated industry can work to get a higher share of female leaders.Method: This survey was based on a deductive approach with a qualitative method. Theories have been obtained primarily from scientific articles and the empirical part has been collected through interviews from the companies Wiminvest and Scania.Conclusion: The conclusions the study came up with was different elements that companies in male-dominated industries can work with to get a higher share of female leaders. The first thing that companies can do is to join the project BON or similar projects to work on this issue. They can work with workshops and lectures to disseminate knowledge about the topic.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att beskriva och analysera hur ett företag kan arbeta med marknadsföringen av sitt varumärke på en internationell marknad för att framgångsrikt upprätthålla och förmedla dess kärnvärden.I denna uppsats har vi valt att använda oss av en kvalitativ fallstudie för att ge läsaren en djupgående bild av företaget Kosta Boda och deras marknadsföring av varumärket på den internationella marknaden. Arbetet har präglats av en såväl deduktiv som induktiv ansats, en kombination av dessa kan även benämnas som ett abduktivt tillvägagångssätt. Det empiriska materialet har samlats in genom kvalitativa intervjuer med tre respondenter, precist utvalda utefter deras kompetens i vårt valda undersökningsområde.Vår studie har visat att en bristfällig kontroll över varumärket komplicerar ett företags ambition att kommunicera varumärkets kärnvärden samt att detta kan leda till en förvrängning av dessa.  Vidare försvåras appliceringen av marknadsföringsmixen när denna hanteras av distributörer. I slutändan betyder kontroll kostnader vilket tvingar företag att välja mellan minskade kostnader alternativt ökad kontroll..

Today, Sweden is to be regarded as a country formed by the influences and effects of immigration. The government is considering integration as a process aimed to influent all forms of welfare politics and as a project working both at an individual and at a social level. The aims of integration policies are to guarantee equal rights and opportunities, to form a public community characterized by diversity, and to mobilize all citizens to participate in and to be jointly responsible for a social development characterized by mutual respect and tolerance. During the Swedish election campaign of 2002, integration policies became one of the most reported and discussed political questions in the media. The aim of this essay is to study and analyze discursive statements on integration policies made by politicians during this election campaign.

Uppsatsens syfte är att analysera och klargåra kundens bild av varumärket Erikshjälpen, klargöra organisations identitet och hur man inom organisationen vill att varumärket ska uppfattas på marknaden. En ambition är att analysera butiken som en marknadsföringskanal. Empirimaterialet har samlats in genom personliga intervjuer med respondenter som har direkt koppling till Erikshjälpen samt fokusgruppsintervjuer bland kunderna i fyra butiker. De slutsatser jag har kommit fram till har baserats på de tendenser som visat sig tydligt i min analys. Då jag inte haft för avsikt att generalisera är detta ett sätt att lyfta fram återkommande påstående från respondenterna.
