This thesis investigates if a system for small scale electricity production located in anurban environment can be profitable. The work has been divided up into two parts,one extensive literature study and one case study. The purpose of the literature studywas to investigate the area, resulting in a choice of which technology to be studied indepth in a case study.In the case study a system containing small scale wind turbines and photovoltaicsmounted on Gränby Centrums roof was examined. From data containing wind power,wind direction and total irradiation, possible production from a system weresimulated. Three products of each technology were examined in the simulations.From the simulated production an economic analysis was carried out, this toinvestigate if a system is profitable.

The thesis has been made for NCC Teknik in Gothenburg. The NCC Corporation is one of the largest leading companies in Scandinavia within the construction industry. NCC is active throughout the whole construction process, where one part is to carry out soil investigations prior the construction of various buildings, for example residential buildings. NCC Technology wants to visualize the samples taken at the construction sites in 3D for clients, authorities and also internally to show in a simple and understandable way how contamination is spread out in the soil.The thesis includes the area of Limhamns läge in Malmö, previously an industrial area. The area has previously included a concrete factory and the contamination from that factory has lingered in the soil.

Four central Nordic actors about the progress and extent of Nordic cooperationThe Nordic cooperation are often spoken as in terms of a peaceful international cooperation that is built upon a wide range of similarities among its members, such as a common culture, language similarities and a related kind of political system etc. But in spite of the fact that these so called propitious factors are present, many of the attempts that has been made trying to bring the states of the North (Norden) closer together has turned out unsuccessfully. Therefore no far-reaching Nordic cooperation has come to be implemented. The aim of this essay is to find out what the main reasons could be why this has been the case.I have chosen to take a closer look at the motives given by the former Nordic Prime ministers Tage Erlander (Sweden), Karl August Fagerholm (Finland), Einar Gerardsen (Norway) and Mauno Koivisto (Finland).

The purpose of this thesis is to examine whether the concept of permanent establishment, as defined in Article 5 of the OECD Model Tax Convention on Income and Capital, is applicable to electronic commerce and if so whether the current definition is able to appropriately deal with the challenges of electronic commerce.In 2003, the OECD added a new section to the Commentary on the Model Tax Convention on Article 5. The new section is a clarification on the application of the permanent establishment definition in electronic commerce.The current definition of permanent establishment in the Model Tax Convention relies on the physical presence of a foreign corporation as the threshold for source taxation. The aim of this study was to measure the castration coverage and the attitudes among people towards castration in an area in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, where a castration program has been running for a few years. Another aim was to review the literature to examine the link between castration coverage and rabies prevalence. Two areas (Area 25 and Area 23) in Lilongwe were studied through standardized household interviews. In Area 25, a non-governmental organization had been castrating dogs weekly to twice weekly for free for 3 years. In Area 23, no official organization had done castrations, and this area therefore acted as a control in the study.

Syftet med denna kvalitativa studie var att undersöka vilken inverkan boendesegregation har på ungdomars utbildningsmöjligheter. Studien innefattade 15 vetenskapliga artiklar och rapporter som analyserades med hjälp av systemteori och Bourdieus teori om kapitalformer. Resultaten visade att den sociala omgivningen är en viktig faktor för ungdomarnas studieresultat. Bostadsområdets vuxna är viktiga som rollmodeller. Normer och beteenden i närmaste omgivningen spelar en viktig roll i ungdomarnas socialisering.

Problem: Vilka samarbetsfaktorer är viktiga för små svenska Outdoorleverantörer för långsiktig överlevnad på en konkurrensutsatt marknad?Syfte: Att analysera och utvärdera olika samarbetsfaktorer mellan leverantörer och återförsäljare inom den svenska Outdoorbranschen.Teori: Involveringsteori, Transaktionsmarknadsföring, Relationsmarknadsföring, Nätverksteori, Organisationsmodellen, Den värdeskapande processen och Totalkommunikation.Metod: Kvalitativ undersökning, deduktion, primärdata, intervjuer, semistrukturerad intervjuguide med kompletterande slutna frågor, strategiskt urval.Empiri: Haglöfs Scandinavia AB, Lundhags Skomakarna AB, Houdini Sportswear AB, Klättermusen AB, Playground Nordic AB, Addnature AB och Alewalds Sport AB.Resultat: Författarna upplever Ourdoorbranschen som en avslappnad och harmonisk bransch där social kompetens blir en viktig faktor för att skapa samarbeten över huvud taget. Viktiga egenskaper hos leverantören för ett bra samarbete är ärlighet och öppenhet som bidrar till en bra kommunikation.Slutsats: Då vi lever i en föränderlig värld är den lojalitet som man bygger upp genom interaktion och samarbeten av stor betydelse för små Outdoorleverantörer på den svenska marknaden. Skall man som leverantör överleva långsiktigt måste man jobba mer kring förståelsen för att driva branschen in i en utvecklande fas och inte förlita sig helt på den tillväxt som branschen länge haft.

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion: I dagens samhälle är det inte längre frågan om en organisation kommer drabbas av kris, utan frågan är snarare när och hur väl förberedd organisationen är för att kunna hantera den. Tsunamin som inträffade annandag jul 2004 var en kris av tidigare sällan skådat slag, den drabbade det svenska samhället i allmänhet och resebranschen i synnerhet. Resebranschen är starkt omvärldsberoende och dess aktörer kan aldrig vara tillräckligt väl förberedda på en kris. Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka olika alternativ till organisation av futsal i Sverige inom och utanför Riksidrottsförbundet (RF). Jag har använt mig av följande frågeställningar: Hur organiseras futsal internationellt? Vilka alternativ finns till organisation av futsal inom RF och vilka för- och nackdelar har dessa? Vilka alternativ finns till organisation av futsal utanför RF och vilka för- och nackdelar har dessa? Hur ser organisationen av futsal ut i Norden? Hur har andra nyligen etablerade idrotter organiserats i Sverige och varför?MetodStudien bygger på åtta kvalitativa intervjuer med personer som representerar skilda idrottsorganisationer med betydelse för organiserandet av futsal. Intervjuerna är genomförda med en hög grad av strukturering och en låg grad av standardisering.ResultatDen internationella situationen med två skilda organisationer för futsal påverkar de nationella organisationsalternativen. Det alternativ som är aktuellt i dagens läge inom RF är inträde i Svenska fotbollförbundet (SvFF).
