The purpose of this study was to examine two relatively similar product industries, of which one is successful in its commercialization and the other one is not successful. The two industries observed in this paper are both Swedish industries, and both of them produce slow moving consumer goods for the luxury consumer. The successful industry is represented by the Swedish fashion industry, more precisely The Swedish Fashion Wonder (TSFW) - a term describing the success of a specific coalition of fashion designers from Sweden. The unsuccessful industry is represented by the luxury watch industry in Sweden (LWIS). The method used to examine the two industries' inequalities is based on a qualitative study, consisting of in-depth interviews with industry expertise from both of the industries.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att ta reda på invandrarkvinnors motiv för att välja Vård- och omsorgsutbildningen och att studera hur utbildningsvalet samverkar med klass, utbildningsbakgrund och invandring. Tidigare forskning har visat att språkkunskaper, utbildningsnivå och diskriminering på arbetsmarknaden är betydelsefulla faktorer när det gäller invandrarnas situation på den svenska arbetsmarknaden. Klass har inte diskuterats i tidigare forskning när det gäller invandrarkvinnor och utbildningsval. Jag har med inspiration från Pierre Bourdieus klassteori och Beverley Skeggs resonemang kring omvårdnadskurser valt att undersöka vilken roll klasstillhörighet, tidigare utbildning, arbetsbakgrund och invandring spelar för informanternas val av Vård- och omsorgsutbildningen. I den här uppsatsen används kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer med nio invandrarkvinnor som studerar Vård- och omsorgsutbildningen på Komvux.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate how theoretical investment appraisal techniques are applied in an investment driven company, regarding investments in fixed assets. The aim is also to investigate on what grounds the choices of techniques are justified, and what consequences these choices have on the overall investment appraisal. The study is designed as a case study of Divisionen, a production unit of a market leading company in Sweden, which is kept anonymous in this thesis. The empirical data consists of interviews with company employees and internal documents, including decision support for seven approved investment projects. The interviewees were chosen based on their role in the investment decision making process.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka om lärares sätt att undervisa och valet av innehåll skapar positiva upplevelser av fysisk aktivitet hos eleverna.Hur resonerar lärarna kring lektionsinnehåll och dess syfte eller mål?Hur upplever elever med olika erfarenheter av föreningsidrott innehållet och utformandet av idrottslektionerna?MetodJag valde att ha en kvalitativ ansats i den studien, och genom intervjuer samla in data. Jag valde att ha en intervjuguide som intervjutyp. En mindre strukturerad intervju hade lett till att jag hade fått svårigheter att jämföra data från de olika intervjuerna. Om jag istället valt en mer strukturerad intervju hade jag fått svårigheter att förstå den intervjuades tankar då intervjun blir låst till frågor och intervjupersonens egna utsagor hade blivit tillbakahållna.

Sverige är ett unikt land med avseende på frivilligt och ideellt engagemang. Med över 200,000 föreningar utmärker Sverige sig från andra länder, sammantaget är svensken medlem i ca 3 olika verksamheter och föreningar. Tre olika medlemskap är mycket för en enskild individ, hur räcker tiden till? Med detta som grund väcktes intresset att undersöka vad som motiverar individen att engagera sig ideellt och få en djupare förståelse och kunskap om detta.  Känner de som engagerar sig att de får något i utbyte, och finns det några fördelar med att engagera sig ideellt?Vi har i vår undersökning använt oss av en kvalitativ ansats där vi avgränsat oss till att intervjua kvinnor och män som regelbundet engagerar sig ideellt inom en eller flera ideella verksamheter. För att kunna lyfta upp de aspekter som är intressanta för vårt syfte har vi använt oss av teorier som formulerats av Max Weber, Zygmunt Bauman, Pierre Bourdieu och Randall Collins.

The purpose of this master thesis is to study sponsoring of culture. The questions asked are: What are the reasons for sponsoring? What are the advantages of sponsoring? What are the disadvantages of sponsoring? What is the relation between public grants and sponsoring? The thesis is based upon studies of literature and a case study in Malmoe. Malmoe Public Library received about a million SEK over a period of three years from the foundation of Foreningssparbanken Skane. The money finances two projects, one with new books, Nyhetstorget, and one with strengthened information for small companies, Projekt Förstärkt Näringslivsinformation.

In 1993 the internal market within the European Union was formed and ensured free movement of goods, services, capital and people. This led to the removal of trade barriers between members of the European Union. When opening up for competition, price differences between countries decreased and more jobs were created. A single currency was introduced by eleven countries in 1999 with the goal of reducing transaction costs, eliminating exchange rate risk and to further simplify trade. In 2001 Greece joined the collaboration and introduced the euro.

Syftet med studien a?r att underso?ka ungdomarnas upplevelser av att avsluta sin gymnasieutbildning i fo?rtid, samt ta reda pa? vad som pa?verkat deras beslut att go?ra det. Till grund fo?r analysen ligger Bourdieus begrepp kapital, habitus och kulturell reproducering samt artiklar och tidigare forskning som ses relevanta fo?r studien.Resultatet visar att alla ungdomar, fo?rutom en, genomga?tt en separation mellan fo?ra?ldrarna na?gon ga?ng under barndomen.

AbstractThe aim off this study is to research social workers´ knowledge, use, risks and possibilities of social media in their work with clients. Because today the society is using social media networks in daily life and social media has become a tool in social work as well. How does social media and social work cooperate? And how does social media effect social workers? For example the website Facebook has grown huge and many people use it everyday. Where is the line between work and private life? To reach this knowledge in this study, qualitative interviews have been done with six social workers that work with children, youths and families.

Background: The last few years a globalization of the capital market has occurred. This have led to that it is more important for the companies that their financial information can be compared with other companies in order to compete on same grounds. In order to fa-cilitate for the companies within EU to compete with other companies and in order to strive for an internal market EU decided that IFRS should be used by all listed companies within the union.Problem: In 2006 the first financial reports according to IFRS will be published, and then it will be interesting to investigate how the companies have chosen to communicate the transition to its stakeholders. According to IFRS some information is compulsive but the companies have chosen to disclose voluntary information to a different degree.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe to what extent the Swedish listed com-panies have reported the transition to IFRS in their consolidated financial statements.Method: In this essay a quantitative method have been chosen in order to find general re-lations. The data collection is done with help of an evaluation model that have been devel-oped for this study.

All companies face risk in their daily business. Internationalised companies tend to experience higher risk due to for example unfamiliar business environment than companies that act only on the national market. Estonia became independent as late as in 1991 and is therefore a new interesting market for many companies in neighbouring countries like Sweden. Risks that are most apparent for an internationalised company are political risk, currency risk, capital and interest rate risk, business risk and credit risk. Our intention of this study was to find out how Swedish companies acting on the Estonian market faced the different risks when entering the Estonian market and how they value the risks today.

I denna uppsats studeras två fotbollsföreningar hemmahörande i Malmö, Husie IF och Kvarnby IK. Dessa föreningar har under den senaste 10-årsperioden haft väldigt olika utveckling vad gäller medlemsantal och föreningsprofil. Vid analysen används Bourdieus teorier med begrepp som kapital, fält, habitus och agent samt Webers teorier kring tjänstemän och byråkrati. Frågeställningarna är "Hur ser relationen mellan kansli och styrelse i de båda föreningarna ut och vilka effekter har balansen mellan dessa?", "Vilka skillnader finns i föreningarnas profil dels gentemot varandra och dels gentemot yttre aktörer i form av fotbollsförbundet och kommunen?" och "Avspeglar sig eventuella skillnader mellan föreningarna i deras respektive policy?".
