The Smart Grid technology has during the last decade been established as a way to create a greater flexibility on the electricity grid that will be needed as the development moves towards an increased share of renewable primary energy sources in the electricity production. One part of the Smart Grid technology is the ability to shift loads in time, to adapt to either price or emissions, known as Demand Response. This project, which was conducted at KTH in collaboration with the consulting corporation Capgemini, examines the economic, environmental and social aspects of the Demand Response technology. In the project, three household products are used in a model that derives the potential savings in costs and emissions of CO2e. The results show that the actual savings measured in SEK are small, but that the savings measured in percent can be as high as 20 percent. Reduction of CO2e emissions is slightly lower.

Indien som världens IT avdelning : En studie av svenska företags syn på leveranser av IT tjänster från Indien

Idag produceras hälften av världens IT tjänster i Indien. Svenska företag ligger ungefär tre år efter sina brittiska och amerikanska kollegor vad gäller att köpa IT tjänster från Indien.Capgemini är ett globalt IT tjänsteleverantörsbolag som idag producerar en stor del av sina IT tjänster i Indien. Men bara en liten del av deras produktion i Indien riktar sig mot den svenska marknaden. Capgemini undrar vad det beror på. Uppsatsen syfte blir därav att ta reda på hur svenska företag ser på leveranser av IT tjänster från lågkostnadsländer och ta reda på vilka drivkrafter och hinder som existerar.

Nyckeltal i kunskapsintensiva företag : En studie av fyra IT-konsultföretags prestationsmätning

Under de senaste två decennierna har olika modeller och metodologier influerat internredovisningen i riktning mot att ta hänsyn till fler faktorer än rent finansiella. Nyckeltal hämtade ur verksamhetens olika områden ska väljas på ett sådant sätt att de tydligt återspeglar huruvida företaget lyckas med sin strategi. Dessa tongångar har inte fått fullt gehör bland de fyra företag som undersöks i denna studie. De undersökta företagen, Ångpanneföreningen, Capgemini, HiQ och Mogul, verkar helt eller delvis i IT-konsultbranschen, och kan alltså klassificeras som kunskapsintensiva. Detta gör dem till goda kandidater för modernare redovisningskoncept, eftersom de inte verkar i en traditionell bransch där tillverkning och logistik dominerar internredovisningen.
