This report is about Swedish statistics on work related accidents and work related diseases onboard Swedish ships. The authors analyzed collected statistics from two authorities and an insurance organization in an attempt to compare the data. In order to understand the need for statistics and why the authority publishes them; minor literature study was conducted. The results of the literature study are in the background chapter. The requirements for the different cases to be registered in the statistics have been investigated, in unity with the issue in question.

BakgrundA?r 2011 fick 599 personer i a?ldern 20-30 a?r diagnosen cancer i Sverige. Flest insjuknade i testikelcancer, malignt melanom, bro?stcancer, hja?rntumo?rer och cancer i o?vriga nervsystemet. Unga vuxna, 20-30 a?r, beskriver att sjukdomen blir som ett avbrott i livet eftersom de missar viktiga ha?ndelser som att flytta hemifra?n och studera.

The aim of the study is to examine ideas surrounding copyright law and related rights appearing in the referral statements that the participants of the library sphere gave to the department writ Ds 2003:35. These ideas reflect the positions the library sphere take regarding issues surrounding the copyright law and related rights. The department writ was preceded by a directive from the European Union; Directive 2001/29/EC of the European parliament and of the council of 22 may 2001 on the harmonization of certain aspects of copyright and related rights in the information society. The writ Ds 2003:35 was later followed by a proposition from the government which was co-herent with the preceding writ. The empirical material has been analyzed with a starting point in the polarizations, artist/audience, private/public and original/copy, presented in PhD Martin Fredriksson?s book Skapandets rätt.

This thesis represents my individual final research in Societal Risk Management. The aim of the study is to research whether the method called Responsible Beverage Serving has had the desired effect of diminished alcohol-related violence in Karlstad City, after its implementation into the ordinary operational agenda for Karlstad district in the county of Wermland. According to the method, the alcohol-related damages as well as alcohol-related violence in a society can be reduced by refusing to serve minors and clients who are excessively intoxicated.In order to be able to reach the aim of the thesis, the subsequent questions must be answered;Has excessive drinking reduced in the bars and clubs in Karlstad City?Has it become more difficult for minors to be served alcohol in the bars and clubs in Karlstad City?Has the police reported amount of assaults outdoors diminished regarding the alcohol-related violence in Karlstad City?This research is an intervention study and uses a quasi-experimental design. The intervention itself is the method called Responsible Beverage Serving.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate the importance of a school library for youths, age 14-16, from their perspective. We intend to study how they use and experience the school library both for educational- and leisure related purposes. We also intend to inquire their possibility to influence their school library. The literature that has been used consists of material from research concerning youth culture and school library.

Background: Sphincter injury is serious complication in connection to vaginal childbirth. Desire to avoid vaginal birth again is seen in women who previously suffered from a sphincter injury.Objective: To identify and evaluate obstetric guidelines in Sweden regarding sphincter injury in relation to childbirthMethod: Content analysis with a combination of a deductive and inductive approach.Results: The most frequently occurring risk factors and prevention with help of perineal protection were described in the guidelines. The physician made diagnosis and repaired the sphincter injury at the theatre.  Complications such as coital pain and anal incontinence were described in the guidelines. Paracetamol and diclofenac was most common analgesic regimen given for pain.

Bakgrund: Idag är gynekologisk cancer en stor diagnosgrupp som inte beaktas i samma grad somresterande cancerdiagnoser i svensk cancersjukvård. Gynekologisk cancer innebär att de kvinnligakönsorganen drabbas, det vill säga livmoder, äggstockar och de yttre könsorganen. Varje år fårcirka 2900 kvinnor i Sverige en gynekologisk cancerdiagnos. Den sexuella hälsan är något som ärunikt för varje individ och något denne måste få möjlighet att själv uttrycka och medverka i för attuppnå. Sexuell hälsa kräver ett positivt och respektfullt närmande till sexualitet och sexuellarelationer, liksom möjligheter att få njutbara och säkra sexuella erfarenheter, fria från förtryck,diskriminering och våld.

This study test the short-termism of companies listed on the market OMX Stockholm 30. We will use a deductive point of view where the purpose of this study is to investigate whether corporate short-term returns can be explained by the independent variables related to corporate governance and compensation practices. This is to investigate whether there is an intentional action on raising the short-term return in order to achieve a higher CEO compensation. In the study, theories dealing with corporate governance and agency theory have resulted in two hypotheses. Basic Hypothesis H1 is: if short-termism of Swedish industry due to the company's short-term returns can be explained by the independent variables related to the company's management and compensation. This hypothesis could not be verified through the quantitative study. Alternative Hypothesis H2 is: the compensation of a CEO can be explained by the independent variables related to company performance and size.

Course: Master's Thesis in Business AdministrationPurpose: The purpose with this paper is to give an insight, and to compare, the project management of two IT-projects ? one which product was implemented and put into use, and one, which was implemented but no longer exists on the market. Furthermore also examine the critical success factors that influence the success respectively the failure of the IT-projects. Method: To attain the purpose with our study we have chosen a qualitative method. We have carried out interviews with two of the project managers of the IT-project of the two large companies.Result: A couple of problems occurred within the IT-projects of the large companies.

Bakgrund: Cancer är en folksjukdom och i Sverige insjuknar varje år 800 unga personer i cancer. För unga vuxna som befinner sig i en omvälvande tid i livet resulterar cancersjukdomen i förändrade roller och en förändrad självbild. När livet och hälsan hotas uppstår ett starkt behov av att berätta. Genom berättelsen tydliggörs upplevelser, för sig själv och för andra. Syfte: Syftet är att utifrån relevant litteratur beskriva unga personers känslor kring att leva med en cancersjukdom.

Depression in young adults is a serious condition causing serious suffering for the victim. By finding risk factors for depression the opportunity for early preventive action is increased, which, in turn, may prevent a negative course. Two risk factors which have been shown to be related to depression are shame and rejection. Therefore this study examined the relationship between shameproneness, rejection sensitivity, shame-related events and depressive symptoms. The self-report questionnaires used were TOSCA, RSQ, Shaming index and BDI-II.

Andréasson, M, Preoperativa förutsättningar och postoperativ smärta efter hysterektomi. Examensarbete i omvårdnad 15 högskolepoäng, avancerad nivå (105-120 hp). Malmö högskola: Hälsa och samhälle, Utbildningsområde omvårdnad, 2008. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur 50 patienter bedömer den preoperativa fasen inför en planerad hysterektomi och att beskriva eventuella samband mellan dessa aspekter och upplevd postoperativ smärta. I studien användes ett frågeformulär med strukturerade frågor och ordinalskalor samt VAS verbala smärtskala för att värdera den pre- och postoperativa omvårdnaden. Studien visar att 18 (36 %) patienter hade postoperativt ingen till måttlig smärta och 32 (64 %) patienter hade medelsvår till outhärdlig smärta. Trots detta tyckte 36 (72 %) patienter att den postoperativa smärtlindringen var tillräcklig medan 13 (26 %) tyckte den var otillräcklig.

Bakgrund: Årligen drabbas 45 000 individer i Sverige av cancer. Sjuksköterskan möter dessa individer i deras dagliga arbete. Det är viktigt att sjuksköterskan vet hur hon på bästa sätt kan ge dem stöd. Metod: Studien är en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa faktorer som patienter med cancer anser vara viktiga i stödet från sjuksköterskan.

I Sverige lever ca 70 000 män som har eller haft prostatacancer vilket utgör 34 % av all cancer hos män. Behandlingen och dess biverkningar kan påverka mannens livsvärld i form av ett lidande, förändrad självkänsla samt påverkan på den subjektiva och levda kroppen. En systematisk litteraturstudie med artiklar av kvalitativ ansats utfördes. Syftet med studien var att undersöka mäns upplevelser av deras livsvärld i samband med prostatacancer. Syftet i analysen besvarades genom att åtta vetenskapliga artiklar valdes ut som sedan analyserades med inspiration av en analysmodell tolkad av Graneheim och Lundmans.

Background: Companies and organizations of today spend large amounts of money on IT-based business solutions. Such business solutions normally include business- consulting and software-creation (IT-related services). Due to the rapid development of the technology within this field of business the IT-customers find it difficult to select among potential suppliers on objective grounds.Purpose: To increase the understanding for the professionl approach of the people involved in the sales- and purchase process of IT-related services in a business-to-business context. The study is taking the buyers'as well as the sellers'perspective into account when analyzing the process. Method: The empirical findings were collected from eight companies in Linköping and Stockholm.
