Summary The leaf beetles, Lilioceris lilii and L. merdigera have existed in Asia, Europe and in North Africa for a long time, but have become much more abundant the last twenty-five years. Even North America has been affected during the last years. The purpose of this investigation of Lilioceris species in Sweden, is to give advice to gardeners, which type of control measures is the most effective in order to restrict their damage to lilies. Lilioceris species overwinter normally as pupae in the soil under the host or close by. Literature and contact with advisors have described the life cycle and spreading of Lilioceris. Under favourable conditions these leaf beetles have two generations/year in the south of Sweden. Both the adults and the larva eat the foliage, and by strong attacks even flowers can be eaten and only the stem is remaining. My own observations include different treatments of both lily foliage and of the leaf beetle.

Introduktion: Regionalt cancercenter (RCC) har i samarbete med Sveriges kommuner och landsting (SKL) beslutat att varje patient med en cancerdiagnos ska bli tilldelad en kontaktsjuksköterska.Syfte: Att undersöka hur väl implementeringen av kontaktsjuksköterskan har fungerat inom den onkologiska vården på Akademiska sjukhuset i Uppsala samt om de kontaktsjuksköterskor som finns arbetar i enlighet med SKL:s definition.Metod: Kvalitativ metod med semi-strukturerade intervjuer av åtta patienter med olika cancerdiagnos.Huvudresultat: Fem av de åtta deltagarna blev tilldelade en kontaktsjuksköterska eller motsvarande när de fick sin diagnos, antingen i direkt samband med diagnosen eller i ett senare skede. Resultaten tyder på att de patienter som ingår i någon slags forskningsstudie upplever sig ha en kontaktsjuksköterska som underlättar för dem och även deras behandling. Patienter som inte ingår i läkemedelsstudier upplever inte att kontaktsjuksköterskan har arbetat enligt SKL:s definition.Slutsats: Forskningssjuksköterskor är den personalkategori som arbetar närmast definitionen av kontaktsjuksköterska. Brister gällande sjukvårdens tillgänglighet, förmåga att ge fullgod information samt att erbjuda anhöriga stöd har uppmärksammats. Ytterligare forskning måste utföras för att resultaten ska kunna bekräftas.  .

Syfte: Syftet med litteraturstudien var att beskriva vilka effekter massage har hos cancerpatienter som lider av ångest. Metod: Examensarbetet utfördes som en litteraturöversikt med 16 vetenskapliga artiklar varav tre med kvalitativ ansats och tretton med kvantitativ ansats. Datainsamling gjordes i databaserna PubMed, CINAHL, Google Scholar och via manuell sökning. Huvudresultat: Resultatet presenterades i fem kategorier för att beskriva vilka effekter massage har hos cancerpatienter som lider av ångest. De fem kategorierna var; lindring av ångest, lindring av fysiska och psykiska symtom, ökad livskvalitet, ökad inre ro och ingen lindring av ångest.

Bakgrund: Bröstcancer är den vanligaste formen av cancer bland kvinnor i Sverige. Att diagnostiseras med bröstcancer är en omvälvande händelse som kan leda till en livskris för den drabbade kvinnan. Både fysiska och emotionella biverkningar uppstår till följd av behandlingen för sjukdomen. När kvinnan lever i ett förhållande påverkas även partnern och sjukdomen utgör en stor påfrestning på relationen. Syfte: Syftet med studien vara att belysa kvinnors erfarenheter av vad som påverkar relationen till partnern vid bröstcancer.

After the 9/11 attack the United States declared war against terrorism, which launched a conflict between indefinable transnational networks and states. In this war it became clear that the strategies used in traditional wars between states were not sufficient. New strategies have been discussed, but without any concrete results.In this thesis assassinations of terrorist leaders ordered by states is being presented as a possible strategy in the war against terrorism. Assassinations have been used in all times to shift political power but is today not morally accepted. This thesis aims to show that when used under the premisses of the just war theory, the strategy can be equally morally justified as any traditional war.

Som ett verktyg för organisationer att möta en alltmer komplex omvärld och komplexa problem har Ronald A. Heifetz (1994) utvecklat Adaptive Leadership Theory. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka om Adaptive Leadership Theory kunde användas för att få en förståelse för varför kommunikationsproblem återkommer. Frågeställningen var; Kan det undersökta företagets återkommande kommunikationsproblem förklaras, utifrån Heifetz? (1994) teori, med att medarbetarna har identifierat och hanterat dem felaktigt? Data samlades in genom kvalitativa intervjuer på en svensk arbetsplats och analyserades enligt en induktiv tematisk analys.

The study will analyze organizations' crisis prevention efforts, its views on the crisis of accountability in relation to stakeholders and to work for a crisis to be elucidated. This paper is intending to examine the intercultural aspects of two teaching aids used in Swedish schools today. How does the material take the students prerequisite in consideration? Is every student included in the material in order with the standpoint and laws in the Swedish school system? And if they are not, who is the outsider in this occasion? With intercultural pedagogy lies the idea that everyone is unique and that teachers has an opportunity to develop and make student grow mentally. This bachelor thesis aims to analyse archaeological finds related to mead during the Late Iron Age in southern Scandinavia. Five central places from the Iron Age are compared to five historical texts, that in some way connects to either the central places or to the use of mead. This will be done by using action theory. The action theory focuses on what kind of actions humans have done to create social and cultural purposes. Since the last part of the Late Iron Age, the Viking Age, is getting more popular due to movies, games and tv-shows it is also relevant to study how modern-day mead represents the Viking Age through its marketing.

Upp till 300 barn drabbas varje år av cancer, de vanligaste cancerformerna för barn är hjärntumörer och leukemi. De flesta barn som drabbas är mellan 4-5 år och befinner sig mitt uppe i sin motoriska utveckling. Cancerdiagnosen påverkar familjen som helhet men det är framförallt det cancersjuka barnen som drabbas, hela barnens levnadssätt förändras. En vardag som tidigare kretsat kring dagis, skola och lek, handlar nu istället om sjukhusbesök och behandlingar. I nuläget finns det bristfälligt med studier om hur barnen upplever sin nya livssituation efter sin cancerdiagnos.

Forskning har visat en stegrande ökning av HIV, AIDS och cancer i Afrika, söder om Sahara. Den palliativa vården har börjat att utvecklats, men många hinder måste överbryggas innan god vård förväntas kunna ges. Syftet var att belysa den palliativa vården i Afrika söder om Sahara. Litteraturöversikten baserades på nio originalartiklar, varav fyra kvalitativa, fyra kvantitativa och en med mixad design. Dessa hittades genom sökningar i databaserna PubMed, Cinahl och SAMJ.

Men?s magazines is a form of media that has been present and popular among men for decades and even centuries. In the beginning of 1990 the popularity for men?s magazines boosted as the new ideal man was presented. The new lad represented a new masculinity that was more honest about its ideals and point of views.

The purpose of this study has been to examine and analyze school counselors? experience of collaboration with other professions in the student health team and the preconditions for their work. The study is based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with six elementary-, and two high school student counselors in a medium-sized town in Sweden. The theoretical approach being used is: role theory, theory of professions and theory about collaboration. The study´s result shows that the school counselors? experience an unclarity in their job assignments and their role is often described as diffuse and vauge.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the profession of librarianship by studying tasks in Swedish public libraries. The method is a textual analysis of articles inspired by the critical discourse analysis of Norman Fairclough. The theory applied consists of the profession theory of Andrew Abbott and the gender theory of Yvonne Hirdman. The questions raised are: how do librarians speak about their tasks, which discourses can be constructed and how can profession theory and gender theory explain the result.
