Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka om lärarna anser att de individuella utvecklingsplanerna, IUP, hjälper eleverna att nå målen i läroplanen och kursplanerna. Vi inriktade oss på lärare som arbetar i skolans tidigare år, det vill säga skolår 1 ? 6. Den metod som vi använde oss av vid undersökningen var enkäter. Undersökningspersonerna var 30 yrkesverksamma pedagoger i skolans tidigare år.

Kraven på dagens trådlösa förbindelser kommer hela tiden att öka och med detta följer även högre krav på nya produkter som kan tillgodose de ökade kraven. För att göra processen från idé till produkt snabbare krävs enkla verktyg för att snabbt kunna gå från den formulerade standarden till en hårdvaruprototyp. Detta arbete har använt sig av ett av dessa verktyg som idag finns tillgängliga, Xilinx System Generator for DSP 1.1, för att ta fram sändare och mottagare för en del av den trådlösa standarden IEEE 802.11a. Arbetet ger en beskrivning av hur sändare och mottagare är uppbyggda samt även synpunkter på System Generator och beskrivningar av problem som uppstod under arbetet.

The purpose of this thesis is to shed light on a present trend of professionalization in Swedish local environmental politics, which have recently seen a decline in active participation of the citizens in favor of an increased governmental regulation. With the aim to closer investigate this relatively new phenomenon, the paper is a qualitative single case-study of environmental policies in the Swedish municipality of Karlskrona. In this case, the municipality is obviously balancing between regarding the interests of the national level and the interests of its own citizens at the same time. This motivates the use of system-theory, and relates to the classical political paradox between participation and efficiency which is also a present theme in the paper.This text-analysis based on interviews with personnel and documents from the municipality shows a visible trend of professionalization in the local politics of the municipality of Karlskrona, from a large grade of participation and a strong bottom-up approach in the days of Agenda 21 to now being more strongly top-down defined by national environmental objectives and principally operated on a professional level..

The purpose of this study has been to explore the expectations of the primary school on the activities of the pre-school. In order to limit the study I have chosen to compare the expectations found in two different schools. In the first case, the pre-school is integrated with the after-school centre and grade one to three (primary school), into the same building. In the other case, the pre-school share localities with the after-school centre in a separate building, with its own yard, within the primary school area. Since the purpose is rather comprehensive, it has been divided into sub-themes with separate set of questions.

Vårt examensarbete belyser hur lärare och elever arbetar med Internet i skolan idag. Syftet är att undersöka om Internet kan vara ett verktyg för meningsfullt lärande. Det är det sociokulturella perspektivet enligt Lev Vygotskij (1896-1934), som ligger till grund för vår syn på lärande där den sociala interaktionen och omgivningen är viktiga delar i lärandet. Tidigare forskning visar att Internet som verktyg i undervisningen medför både för ? och nackdelar.

Fortifikationsverket which is the landlord for the Swedish national defence has a great problem in their forestry due to the relatively large amount of metal objects in their timber. These metal objects cause different types of economical losses in the timber refinement chain. To enable out sorting of logs containing metal objects already in the harvesting phase, Fortifikationsverket is interested of the possibility to utilize some type of metal detector in a harvesting head for that purpose.The goal of this study was to, with help of a case study, enlighten the problem that metal objects in timber cause for Fortifikationsverket and their customers of timber and to investigate conditions of to mount and utilize some kind of metal detector in a harvesting head at present.The saw timber deliveries by Fortifikationsverket during the time period 2003-2005 was used as a reference volume for calculations of economical losses. In this case study was included two sawmills where timber from Fortifikationsverket were delivered to for further refinement. Factors investigated were the type of damage metal objects caused in these two sawmills and the economical signification of these damages.

Bland elever som är i behov av särskilt stöd finns en grupp elever som benämns elever med problemskapande beteenden. Fokus ligger ibland under långa tidsperioder på att hantera beteendeproblematiken, under det att kunskapsutveckling och delaktighet ofta får stiga åt sidan. Detta ställer krav på att personal i skolan har kunskap om verktyg för att hantera problemskapande beteenden.Syftet med denna studie är att få förståelse för hur personalen i grundsärskolan menar att problemskapande beteenden kring elever med autism och intellektuella funktionsnedsättningar uppstår. Denna studie syftar även till att få förståelse för personalens meningar om förebyggande och motverkande verktyg när det gäller problemskapande beteenden.Intervjuer med sju personer som arbetar i grundsärskolan ligger till grund för resultatet i denna studie. This paper aims to study the Armenakis´ theory of readiness, "are they ready?", which consists of five key components affecting the outcome of an organizational change. In this case study, the intention is to investigate if any component is important; alternatively if it is possible to discern a pattern between components, i.e. how they correspond to each other. During the past 30 years have a research group lead by Armenakis has studied organizational change and how resistance to change can be avoided by preparing employees in the introductory phase of change. The main object for Armenakis is the question "what determines whether the employees (change recipients) adopt and support, or reject and resist a change".

Syftet med studien var att beskriva och förstå policydokument som ett organisatoriskt verktyg för styrning genom att studera hur policydokument utformas och kommuniceras i olika typer av organisationer och vad som var avgörande för deras policyarbete. Fyra frågeställningar; policyns arbetsprocess, medarbetarnas delaktighet, vad en policy ska innehålla samt slutligen kommunikation besvarades genom en kvalitativ intervjustudie med fem respondenter från offentlig och privat sektor. Studiens resultat visade att respondenterna hade en likartad syn på vad en policy är och dess roll som styrningsredskap i organisationen. Detta bekräftade att policyn är ett normativt dokument som används som mall. Resultatet visade även att en policy är ett levande dokument som kräver delaktighet och diskussion med medarbetare innan det kan anammas och accepteras för att bli det styrdokument som det är..

Interaktiva applikationer som hanterar visualisering av geografiska informationssystem (GIS) är ett växande ämne. Denna studie har använt spelmotorn Unity som verktyg för att skapa en prototyp av sådan applikation med Högskolan i Gävles campusområde som visualiserad miljö. För att åstadkomma detta har arbete med bl.a. 3D-modellering, texturering, programmering och ljusmappning genomförts. Utifrån studiens resultat ges vissa rekommendationer kring de moment studien behandlar.

I detta examensarbete har ett användarvänligt verktyg skapats för att möjliggöra undersökningar av värdeutfallet vid kubbsågning på VIDA Alvesta AB. Verktyget har skapats i Microsoft Excel som för många är en känd miljö. Just nu är det svårt att få lönsamhet inom sågverksbranschen. Råvaran är dyr och det tvingar sågverken att effektivisera sin produktion. Det här verktyget har vankantsandel som viktigaste variabel eftersom det maximerar värdeutbytet genom att använda maximalt tillåtna vankanter.En undersökning för produkten 47x100 har gjorts med avseende att dölja vankanter med hjälp av rundade hörn med radie 3 och 5 mm.
