Corporate Social Responsibility : en koppling mellan marknadsföring och finansiering
Background: The debate about environment, labor conditions and aid to developing countries has the last years been a much discussed subject The pressure on the companies to live up to their responsibility is beginning to be noticed in the market.Purpose: To find out if a retail company investing in Corporate Social Responsibility thereby direct can effect it?s stock value. Using interviews to investigate if and how stock analysts and corporate finance professionals valuate a company?s CSR initiatives.Theoretical perspective: The description of CSR is leading to the main theory, The Brand Value Change, and the Market Hypothesis. Additionally a theory of the Consumer Buying Process and CAPM-model about financial risks is presented.Method: An event study of 30 companies to investigate if there is any change in their stock values and interviews with three professionals from the financial sector to find out about their attitude to CSR.

The supply of raw materials has always been an important issue in the Swedish Forest industry. Buying timber from local suppliers is important. To ensure raw materials to their industries the forest company must offer good prices and good business deals to their suppliers.
The aims with this work are to find out how the contact between private suppliers of raw materials and how the forest company can be developed.
To be able to do a complete study of the problems connecting with this subject a quality interview study has been done.
Databaser i molnet : En prestanda utvärdering
AbstractAs a developer of database-driven applications you will be faced with difficult choices, when it comes to choosing database, server and programming language. For the result to be satisfactory it requires the different techniques to interact well with each other and also fulfill performance expectations. This is even more important when the application is deployed to the cloud and the response time plays a major role.This paper evaluates different databases and their performance. To test the databases there was an application made in the server script language PHP or Hypertext Preprocessor and it was deployed to Windows Azure cloud platform. The test applications task is to call and load databases by controlled requests which creates, reads, updates and deletes data in an relatively large extent.The results shows that locale databases or databases in the same data center as the server generates the fastest response.

The purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenon ?Living library?, where people are lent out instead of books. First it is looked into what the Living library means to the person who is borrowing a living book and what it means to the living book itself. Than the Living library is put in a public library context. This is done through a case study of the city library of Helsingborg and the city library of Malmö.

A god strength capacity in the core is important for secure and effective movements, as well for active athletes, as for non athletes. The increased number of employees, who report in sick today, has been correlated with psychological bad health. New methods to deal with mental and physical health problems among people can indicate to the fact that Yoga in the western world has increased its members, due its spiritual and physical recognition in favor of well being.
(Allmän)mänskliga rättigheter ? en komparativ studie av universalism hos tre människorättsorganisationer verksamma i Vitryssland.
Målsättningen för uppsatsen har varit att ifrågasätta det allmänmänskliga i mänskliga rättigheter, att problematisera en rättighetsidé som marknadsförs av bland annat FN, och som inom internationella relationer framställs som självskriven. Teorier om universalism och relativism har utgjort ramen, medan tre människorättsorganisationer ? Human Rights Center Viasna, Civil Rights Defenders och Amnesty International ? har fungerat som analysenheter. Organisationerna har undersökts genom de framställningar de gjort av MR-situationen i Vitryssland, närmare bestämt i form av nyhetsartiklar om tre samtida politiska händelser.Frågeställningarna fokuserade på allmängiltigheten i organisationernas MR-bild, deras inställning till europeiska och västerländska regelverk och aktörer, samt hur deras egen bakgrund eventuellt inverkar i arbetet. Resultaten visar att organisationerna jobbar universalistiskt, att de har globala preferenser snarare än europeiska, och att de i allt väsentligt arbetar opåverkade av sin kontext.Visserligen bör resultaten sättas i relation till den begränsade undersökningen, vilken kanske främst kan visa tendenser, men de unika dragen i forskningsområdet är inte att förglömma.

The Swedish carrot market is dominated by a few big companies and three of them stands for
50 % of the market. During the last twenty years the number of growers has decreased, the
area and the harvest have increased. The big producers have invested in advanced and
expensive postharvest equipment that fulfils the high standards of the food industry. Few
carrot producers are members of an organisation and they keep contacts with there buyers one
by one. The buyers are mostly wholesalers and these have during a long period of time
decreased the number of suppliers.

Background: The global responsibility for multinational companies is a current matter of subject. Now when the world increasingly is getting globalized, economic growth is created, which brings a bigger demand of responsibility on companies. The leading companies from every industry is often becoming the frame for how the production process works and is therefore exposed to outer pressure which, for example, is coming from consumers and the media. Since consumers at present are more aware of what they are buying and where it comes from, it is important that the companies take social responsibility. We have therefore studied three big companies within the clothing industry to see in witch way they are taking their social responsibility.Purpose: Our purpose was to explore how companies within the clothing industry describe their work with Corporate Social Responsibility, code of conducts and where the incentive behind this work is coming from.Method: We have, through a qualitative study, examined how three large companies work with Corporate Social Responsibility.

The logistic business Svenska Retursystem AB was founded by the Swedish retail sector in
the year 2000, and their introduction of a grey plastic crate to the supply chain for perishable
goods changed the situation for the swedish horticultural sector. The new system revealed
several challenges to be tackled by all actors, from the small family firm to the bigger
organisations. Whereas the initiative comes from the customer himself, from the horticultural
sector ?s point of view, a refusal of the new packing is a hard decision to take. It is however
interesting that a comparison between the two systems, shows in favour of the corrugated
board boxes, not only concerning environmental aspects but also for economical and
ergonomical reasons.
Kommunikation inom e-handel : En undersökning ur konsumentperspektiv
AbstractDespite that e-business nowadays is established scepsis against it amongst consumers exists. We, as consumers, suppose that this skepticism is caused by bad communication from the e-business companies. This has lead to our suggestion that some con-sumers refrain from e-business because of bad communication or deficient trust.Our purpose with this paper was to investigate factors of communication between companies and consumers within e-business (B2C) from the consumers? point of view. We thereby have drawn conclusions regarding consumers? choice of e-business company.
Lärmiljö, frizon eller sysselsättningsarena? : En kritisk analys av fritidshemmet i en era av new public management
In 2014, the Swedish leisure-time centres after school became widely criticized on several occasions by school authorities. The cause for its criticism was a reflection of leisure time-centres with lots of untrained staff and a lack of pedagogical aspirations. The conclusion of the criticism was that these leisure-time centres do not fulfil their potential. However, these assessments has only to a limited extent become a part of the public educational discourse in Sweden. This discourse has mainly focused on the decreasing results in the Swedish school, which has caught the attention in the media and ended up on the political agenda.
Folkbiblioteket en del i infrastrukturen runt vuxnas lärande. En fallstudie på Linköpings stadsbibliotek
The purpose of this master thesis is to investigate how the public library can support adult learning through collaboration with other actors in the community. This is done by examining the activity of Linköping municipal library towards the user group adult students. The questions raised consider; the political view of supporting adult learning, the role of the public library, who are the actors in Linköping, the experiences of collaboration and finally what promotes and restrains collaboration. The investigation is done as a case study with qualitative methods. The qualitative methods was found to be the most appropriate for this study, since the majority of the empirical material has been collected through interviews.
Modellering av turboladdarens surge-beteende för fordonsindustrin.
Denna rapport redogör kompressorns beteende i en turboladdare för ett givet arbetsintervall. Med det ökande behovet av lösningar till att sänka koldioxidutsläppen så har turboladdaren fått fler och nya användningsområden. Från att till en början vara en produkt som används för att öka motoreffekten så bidrar turboladdaren idag till att minska motorerna med bibehållen effekt och på sätt minimera utsläpp av exempelvis koldioxid.Surge är ett kritiskt tillstånd för turboladdaren som bör undvikas då det oscillerande trycket som uppstår vid surge kan leda till att turboladdaren och motorn skadas. Hur surge-tillståndet förekommer och dess negativa inverkan på turboladdaren beskrivs i denna rapport.Utförandet av arbetet har skett med hjälp av KTH CICERO strömningslabb som drivs av Competence Center for Gas Exchange (CCGEx) som är ett samarbete mellan KTH och näringslivet, strömningslabbet är byggt för att kunna analysera turboladdaren (Garrett GT1752). I denna rapport används strömningslabbet för att få en bättre uppfattning om vad som händer med kompressorn när den arbetar i surge.

Their main product, the DM 201, is outdated and has bigissues gaining new market shares. For example, no medical treatment center in Sweden usesDM 201 frequently. The project of developing a new instrument to replace it was assignedtwo students at the development engineering program at Halmstad University. The projectalso included integration of the new platform for DM 202 to HemoCue AB:s remainingproducts.The project began by defining the different technical areas concerned.
"Systerskap, Självkänsla och Självförtroende" : En studie av empowerment vid en tjejjour
Syftet med det här arbetet är att få reda på hur barn, femåringar respektive sjuåringar, märker av genusperspektivet i reklam riktad till dem. Jag har använt mig av gruppintervjuer där jag tillsammans med barn undersökt hur barn reflekterar över genusperspektivet i reklamen riktad till barn. Frågeställningarna har undersökts genom fem olika reklamavsnitt som vänder sig till barn. Uppsatsens teoretiska perspektiv vilar på en grund från genusvetenskapen och socialiseringsprocessen. Resultatet av min analys där jag använt mig av gruppintervjuer, visar att barn ser genusperspektivet och enligt femåringarna så är det färgen som mest visar vem reklamen är riktad till.
