The study is qualitative in nature, in which a deeper understanding of the subject mergers and acquisitions wants to be achieved. The study uses an abductive approach and the data used was both from primary and secondary sources.Conclusion:     The result of the study shows that the integration process is influenced by several factors. The most important factors from the acquirer are to have a time schedule, clear communication and a person in charge of the integration process.

Elektronisk handel mellan privat och offentlig sektor

Sammanfattning Titel: Elektronisk handel mellan privat och offentlig sektor Författare: Dawid Malesa, Tove Mantzakanis Handledare: Henrick Gyllberg Institution: Managementhögskolan, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola Kurs: Kandidatarbete i företagsekonomi, 10 poäng Syfte: Vårt syfte med denna rapport är att kartlägga de faktorer som hindrar näringslivets införande av e-handel med den offentliga sektorn för att kunna identifiera vilka problemområden som bidrar till att den privata sektorns anslutning till e-handel med offentlig sektor inte fått förväntad genomslagskraft. Vi kommer att undersöka dessa faktorer ur tre olika perspektiv, offentlig sektors, näringslivets leverantörer samt systemleverantörernas. Metod: Vi baserar vårt arbete på litteraturstudier av forskningsområdet samt insamling av empirisk data genom intervjuer med representanter från offentlig sektor, leverantörer till offentlig sektor och systemleverantörer. De genomförda intervjuerna är av kvalitativ karaktär och utgör det material som ligger till grund för analys och slutsatser. Slutsatser: Efter denna genomförda undersökning kan vi konstatera att de problemområden som är orsak till att införandet av e-handel mot offentlig sektor inte fått förväntad genomslagskraft kan identifieras som följer; ? Organisatorisk struktur inom offentlig sektor ? Teknisk infrastruktur inom både den offentliga sektorn och den privata ? Anslutningstiden ? Avsaknaden av standarder ? Avsaknad av kundkrav från offentlig sektors sida ? Brist på mognad för ett införande både inom den offentliga sektorn och den privata ? Informationsspridning inom samt mellan de tre aktörerna.

Kan användandet av arketyper stärka varumärken?

Syfte: Denna studie syftar till att undersöka huruvida vissa arketyper kan betraktas som mer effektfulla än andra vid marknadsföring. Vi ämnar även ta reda på om varumärken som använder sig av arketyper förmedlar starkare och tydligare känslor än varumärken som inte använder ett arketypiskt perspektiv. Metod: Data har samlats in från gruppdiskussioner i tre olika fokusgrupper med sex deltagare i respektive fokusgrupp. Fokusgrupperna bestod av manliga och kvinnliga deltagare som var över 25 år och representerade olika nationaliteter. Gruppdiskussionerna genomfördes på ett fastighetsföretag i Barcelona där vi fått tillåtelse att tillfråga de anställda att delta i studien. Under genomförandet av gruppdiskussionerna fick respondenterna observera 24 olika reklamfilmer, varav hälften med arketypiskt innehåll och hälften utan arketypiskt innehåll.

Utvärderingsmetod Säkerhetskultur: Ett första steg i en valideringsprocess

Företag investerar idag väldigt mycket pengar på att säkra sina fysiska och logiska tillgångar med hjälp av tekniska skyddsmekanismer. Dock är all säkerhet på något sätt beroende av den enskilde individens omdöme och kunskap. Hur går det avgöra att organisationen kan lita på individens omdöme och kunskap? Hur går det avgöra om en organisation har en god kultur kring säkerhet? Genom att utvärdera säkerhetskulturen kan organisationer få ett utökat underlag i riskhanteringsarbetet samt en bättre förmåga att hantera det som hotar verksamhetens tillgångar. Den forskning som finns idag på området säkerhetskultur är både oense kring vad som utgör god säkerhetskultur men framför allt hur kulturen ska utvärderas.

The main purpose of recruiting is to find a job candidate who meets the demands of formal and informal competence at the same time as the candidate should be seen as the right person to the right place. Several job advertisements in the areas of finance and administration has at least two years of work experience as a demand before individuals can be seen as an appropriate job-candidate, hence it becomes a sort of ?catch-22? for graduates with no prior work experience. The purpose of this study is to create a better understanding for recruiters? approach and attitude to hiring individuals who only have a university degree.

Analys av behov och potentiella verktyg inom Business Intelligence för detaljhandelsaktörer : En studie på Akademibokhandeln AB

Business Intelligence (BI) is a competitive concept for enterprises to consider. The concept is based on the idea of using business data in order to effectively analyze activities within an enterprise in order to enhance decision processes in the organization.The purpose with this study is to help Akademibokhandeln AB to analyze what BI-requirements they may have, and to create a recommendation on what sort of BI-tool that would fit the enterprise's needs.The requirements analysis was conducted with the help of internal personnel. Four different tools on the BI-market have been examined, analyzed and compared: IBM Cognos 8 (IBM Cognos), Microstrategy 9 (MCST), Qlikview 9 (Qlikview), and SAP Business Objects BI (SAP BO). These tools have been compared with the help of two models (BRI and BCI) that is based on the BI-requirements analysis, with the cost aspect taken into consideration in the BCI-model.Using the BRI-model, the comparison results in a technical evaluation. Here, IBM Cognos gets the highest result just ahead of MCST and SAP BO.

Today every organization is committed to some kind of environmental scanning in order to get necessary knowledge of the world around them. The acquisition, organization and storage of information in combination with a strategic use, is today an important factor for a successful organisation in any sector of our society.In this Master thesis I have studied how an organisation such as The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise (Svenskt Näringsliv) handles its information resources. I have also looked at the flow of information within the organization. The Confederation of Swedish Enterprise is Sweden?s largest business federation representing 50 member organizations and 55 000 member companies.

ABSTRACT This essay is about traffic analysis of Web servers. The purpose is to investigate if companies analyse the traffic on the Web server and if they use this information to create more than simple statistic reports. The questions that we will answer are the following: ? How common is traffic analysis on the Web server among companies? ? Is the Web administrator limited in analysing the Web traffic, if the company has the website on a Web hotel? ? Does the company uses the results they get from analysing the traffic on the Web server for updates and changes on the Web page? To answer these questions we made a questionnaire investigation by telephone interviewing the companies? webmasters. The extent of the investigation was 20 companies in Blekinge.

We believe that it is the company's reputation and it begins already in thecompany's own recruitment process it is the main finding from our study.Suggestions for future research:Interesting would be to seek employment with thecompany you want to investigate to see how the whole recruitment process goes on toperform deeper analysis, another idea would be to ask the employees that enjoy to work thereagainst those who does not enjoy to work at the company to find the basic building blocks ofcorporate culture to this particular company.

"Fettskatten" - ett sätt att banta de samhällsekonomiska kostnaderna till följd av övervikt?

The rise in prevalence and severity of obesity and related diseases imposes increasing costs on society. The objective of this thesis is to discuss and estimate the possible effects of a so-called fat tax as a tool for minimizing these costs. Two alternatives for differentiation of the value-added tax (VAT) on food are compared. The first alternative is an increase of the VAT levied on food containing saturated fatty acids. The second alternative is a subsidy on fruit and vegetables in the form of a VAT at zero percent, instead of today?s twelve percent.

Småföretag : Hur fungerar kommunikationen med redovisningskonsult

Denna uppsats är en undersökning av hur kontakten är mellan småföretagare och redovisningskonsulter. En stor del av de mindre företagen överlåter en del eller allt redovisningsarbete till konsulter. Denna kontakt är definitionsmässigt en business to business- kontakt, men konsulten har ett övertag då dennes ekonomiska kunskaper normalt är större. Jag har undersökt denna problematik genom att göra en enkätundersökning med aktiebolag med 1-10 anställda som respondenter. Jag gjorde även besöksintervjuer hos två småföretagare samt en intervju via e-post med en redovisningskonsult.

En studie om konflikten mellan företags affärsstrategi och CSR-arbete i lågprishandeln

A wish for a higher standard of living has driven the rate of consumption in Sweden. Mainfocus in business is on a higher growth and profitability where some companies use a lowprice strategy to win competitive advantage. The positive consumption pattern spiral is oftendiscussed in media, while criticism is limited and often refers to the environment. In order toreduce our ecological footprint we should consume more sustainably. More and morecompanies implement CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) in their business strategy tobecome more sustainable.

How Venture Capitalists can use their Network in order to reduce the Information Asymmetries between themselves and the Venture Management Team

The purpose of this study is to increase the understanding of how venture capitalists can use their network in order to reduce information asymmetries between themselves and the venture management team. A qualitative approach with semi-structured interviews, consisting of open questions, have been used to receive gradate information in order to reach our explorative purpose. Our theoretical framework consists of relevant studies made on the dynamics of networks and the problems that can arise in the complex relationship between a principal and an agent. We have been interviewing two venture capital firms and therepresentatives from two business angel networks. We also made an additional interview with an influential financial actor in order to try to verify our conclusions Our conclusions are that an extensive network can be used by venture capitalists in order to; verify ventures? technologies, complement the competences in the venture management team, and arrange co-investments, resulting in reduced information asymmetries between themselves and the venture management team.
