Att delta eller inte delta? : Kulturparken Småland AB och synen på deltagarperspektivet

The purpose of this essay is to illustrate how an organisation with several different cultural activities, such as a regional museum, works with anemphasis on participation. The essay focuses on Kulturparken Småland AB, which encourages the public to be more involved in its activities. Aqualitative approach is used, including nine interviews with employees at theorganisation. A number of theories form the basis of this study: institutionaltheory, which focuses on the context of the organisation, Bourdieu?s theoriesof different capital and Abbott?s theory regarding professionals.

SAMMANFATTNING Titel: Könsstruktur & lönesamtal Författare: Anna Carlbrant, Erica Jönsson och Lisa Nilsson Handledare: Marie Aurell och Marie Hemming, BTH Institution: Institutionen för Ekonomi och Management Kurs: Kandidatarbete i företagsekonomi, FEC007 Syfte: Syftet med vår uppsats är att förstå om och i så fall hur könsstrukturen förändras eller upprätthålls med tillämpning av lönesamtal som en del av individuell lönesättning. Metod: För att kunna uppnå syftet med vår uppsats valde vi att göra en kvalitativ undersökning där vi intervjuade kvinnorna i den organisation vi besökte. Slutsats: Vi har kommit fram till att lönesamtalet kan ses som både möjlighet och hinder för kvinnorna beroende på yttre faktorer och individens beteende. Den faktor vi ser som avgörande för att förändring av könsstrukturen ska kunna ske är graden av medvetenhet om könens betydelse i organisationen hos både ledning och anställda..

Hur olika lärstilar påverkar individens upplevelse av feedback

Syfte: Syftet är att beskriva hur användningen av feedback effektiviserar organisationer. Metod: I denna uppsats har en kvalitativ ansats använts för att studera upplevelsen av feedback på individnivå. Respondenterna, från två medelstora företag i södra Sverige, har dels intervjuats genom en riktad öppen intervjukaraktär samt fått svara på en enkätundersökning för att kategoriseras efter lärstilarna. Slutsatser: Vårt resultat visar att individers olika upplevelser av feedback kan spåras till individens lärstil. Varje lärstil har sina egna utmärkande faktorer som organisationer bör ta hänsyn till vid förmedling av feedback till de anställda. Vi har kommit fram till att organisationers effektivitet kan höjas vid medveten användning av feedback och genom att ta hänsyn till individens lärstil..

The purpose of this study was to examine how modern information and communication technology influence collective action within the framework of social movements. By studying the protests in the Arab World 2011, and focusing on the social movements in Suleimanya in northern Iraq, by observation taken on place, the essay discusses that collective action is closely related to the use of technology, for example cell phones and Internet.Result shows that modern communication technology has enabled immeasurable access andconnection between individuals throughout the world, which seems to be different from previouscollective action. The new communication channels in the form of social media, has been used for the dissemination of information and news, documentation, organization and membership recruitment in the social movements in the Arab World and Suleimanya. The aim of this thesis is to get a better understanding of how the management control system works at V&S Distillers. V&S Distillers went through an organizational change in the beginning of 2005. The marketing function went from being a country-driven to a category-driven organization. Among other things this resulted in increased cooperation between employees in different geographical locations. We aim to analyze how a geographical distance affects relations and the use of management control.

The aim of this research was to gain a comprehensive understanding of how daily activities impact the organizational culture within the Swedish Police enforcement agency, Polismyndigheten. The study specifically explored the influence of the purported culture of silence on organizational culture. Employing a case study approach, data were collected with a qualitative method from a total of 15 individuals, including students and officials affiliated with Polismyndigheten. The findings were categorized into five distinct groups, revealing a noticeable gap between employees and management. Additionally, the study identified generational disparities and a lack of a clear set of core values.

The purpose of my work was to find out what the advantages and disadvantages might be with a care planning team from a support administrators point of view. The data collection for this work was done by semi-structured qualitative interviews with five people, all working as support administrators within the social services in the same region and town in Sweden. In my choice of interviewees i have tried to get such a diverse mix as possible when it comes to the interviewees experience in the profession and experience with care plannings.

Erfarenhetsåterföring : En väg till bättre anbud

Detta examensarbete har gjorts i samarbete med JM Entreprenad som är ett helägt dotterbolag till JM AB. JM AB är ett av Sveriges största byggföretag. Arbetet har gått ut på att hjälpa JM Entreprenad Region Hus med att undersöka hur erfarenhetsåterföringen mellan Kalkylavdelningen och produktion ser ut samt att komma med förslag till förbättringar.Erfarenhetsåterföring handlar om att samla in och återanvända de erfarenheter och kunskaper som kommer från olika delar av organisationen för att sedan ha dessa som utgångspunkt för förbättringar av det framtida arbetet.Det finns i nuläget inga fastslagna rutiner för hur denna erfarenhetsåterföring skall genomföras vilket är en stor brist i organisationen. För att förändra detta bör företaget sträva efter att bli en lärande organisation och skapa tydliga rutiner för hur detta arbete skall läggas upp..

In our study we aim to explain the importance of how meaning is built in to sociomaterial compositions. By analyzing comment fields hosted by a Swedish IT-journal we illustrate how what is being said interplays with the technological platform in various ways.

Kommunikation om kommunikation : medarbetares upplevelser av vad som påverkar kommunikationen mellan dem och deras chef

Our study aimed at gaining insight of co-workers experiences of different factors that affects the verbal communication and leads to dialogue and misunderstanding between co-workers and their managers. The empirical material was gained from semi-structured interviews with co-workers at various departments within the same organization. We used a hermeneutic interpretive approach and our data was analyzed concerning different factors affecting communication. The result has been interpreted using the theories of deliberative conversations and dialogue competence. We have also used Illeris theory of learning.

Samverkan kring arbetsrehabilitering : En kvalitativ studie av ett projekt

ABSTRACTThe purpose of our study was to examine how four different organizations cooperate on rehabilitation of people to get them back to employment. More specifically our aim was to investigate how different organizations in a project, involving workrehabilitation, looks at cooperation. Our main questions were vague at the beginning of our study, but finally our focus became clear. The questions were formed with help from the research of Hjortsjö (2006) and Fridolf (2000): Which possibilities and hindrances identify the different organizations which cooperate? What does cooperation mean to the representatives from the different organizations which are included in KARB? Our result shows that the respondents mostly think positive of the project KARB.

Strategic environmental management in a service organization : a case study of Swedbank

During the past decade environmental challenges have been intensified and given increased attention. This implies that businesses in all sectors strategically need to manage these challenges. The service sector is often considered as a sector with a low environmental impact if the direct environmental aspects are assessed. Still, it has been argued that the environmental impact that the sector gives rise to can create severe indirect environmental impacts. The products and services that are produced by this sector have a relatively limited use of physical resources which may make the environmental impact challenging to visualize. Banks belong to the service sector and it is partly banks that make the development of societies possible.
