Simulering av värmebehov för kombinerad kontors- och laboratoriebyggnad utan traditionellt värmesystem
In this Thesis the possibilities of designing a larger building that is very energy efficient in the sense that it would not need a conventional heating system are discussed. Solar radiation transmitted through the windows, internal heat from occupants, lamps and electric appliances inside the building and heat recovered from the ventilation system then have to be sufficient for the heating of the building. This study is of general interest since the property company, Akademiska Hus, plans to use this study as a first step in determining if this technique could be used in the future and thus be worth further investments. A building without a conventional heating system of the size investigated in this project has not yet been built.The energy needed for the heating of the building was simulated using VIP+.The conclusions from the study are that it is possible to build large buildings without any conventional heating system. This could be achieved in many different ways, for example by lowering the inside temperature or by using better windows and heat recovery system with higher efficiency.

In the construction industry today there is a significant technological revolution goingon. New methods for automated processes and information management are developedcontinuously. Intense studies are currently taking place to ensure ways and means toembrace the new technology of BIM.At the present, environmental certification systems are considered cumbersome andchallenging. However, the increasing demands of sustainable development in the constructionindustry imply that the environmental certifications will not disappear. ThisMaster Thesis examines the possibilities to apply BIM technology within the field ofenvironmental certifications to streamline the processes.The applications that provide the best opportunities are:- To use BIM to be able to, during the design stage, dynamically evaluate the resultor score a certain building will achieve.- To avoid unnecessary work through collection of data for calculations directlyfrom a BIM-model.- To be able to automate certain time consuming calculations that are currentlyperformed manually.- To automatically examine the completed model to ensure that the demands arefulfilled.The possibilities to use BIM within these areas are however limited by the technologyitself.

Då mängden information bara ökar, så ökar även behovet att ha åtkomst till informationen lättillgängligt. Detta skapar då ett behov för ett gränssnitt som kan söka bland informationen. I detta arbete har det undersökts om en implementation av Vector Space Model ger mera relevanta resultat jämfört mot en enklare implementation som inte baseras på Vector Space Model. Sökningen utförs i en relationsdatabas med ett inverterat index, databasen fylls med data ifrån internetforumet Stack Overflow. Genom att bygga en sökmotor som returnerade två olika resultatlistor för varje sökning så fick tio användare testa och utvärdera resultatens relevans.
Building Information Model: Erfarenheter från tillämpning av VDC under projektering
I samband med att datorstödda ritningsprogram introducerades i byggbranschen, effektiviserades utformningen av ritningar. Tekniken innebar att tidigare metoder med att rita för hand delvis bibehölls, fastän ritningarna utfördes på datorn. De senaste åren har byggbranschen påbörjat en ny förändring avseende framställning av handlingar, med användning av Building information modell (BIM). Med denna metod skapas en modell i 3D över byggnaden och dess omgivning. Modellen snittas i planer och sektioner, vilka utgör traditionella ritningar i 2D.
Analys av hur byggnadens höjd påverkar energiförbrukningen i flerbostads- och kontorshus
This diploma work has been carried out in collaboration with the building contractor Sh Bygg Fastighetsutveckling AB in Uppsala with the intention to investigate how the height of a building affects various energy aspects such as transmission losses, infiltration, and the specific energy usage. Three different reference objects have been studied. The reference objects have been simulated for four different heights in the calculation program VIP-Energy.The results show that an increase in floor number can lead to both advantages and disadvantages. As the number of floors increases, transmission losses per square meter floor area decreases. However, as the height of the building increases, the reduction rate decreases.

The question of excessive global energy use needs to be solved. All energy production and usage have negative environmental impacts, which are best solved by reducing energy consumption and by using energy more efficiently. A large part of the Swedish energy use is concentrated to the building sector and to reduce the total energy consumption real efforts need to be made to make buildings more energy efficient.The aim of this study was to investigate how energy is used in one of Göteborg University?s buildings and to find measures that can be taken to improve its energy efficiency. The chosen building Zoologen, is used for research and education.The main method of the study is computer simulations of the present building and of possible energy reducing measures to be made in the future.

Kundtillfredsställelse utifrån ett relationsperspektiv
Problem: The main problem this thesis brings up is what impact factors like trust, commitment, communication between a company and its costumers and value can have on costumer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective.Purpose: The purpose with this thesis is to describe the importance of factors that can have an impact on customer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective. To do this the author has looked into a company called Q-steps and conducted an investigation on their costumers opinion of their relationship with the company.Method: An interview was held with Q-steps CEO Sören Levén as the basis of the thesis, as well as a questionnaire that was sent to the company?s existing costumers over the web.Theory: In the thesis the author uses a model that describes factors that can have an impact on costumer satisfaction on the basis of a relationship perspective. This model is based on theories within relationship building in service companies.Conclusion: To be able to develop good relationships to their customers and as a result of this increase the level of costumer satisfaction, Q-steps has to take different variables into consideration. The main focus in this matter should lay on the variables that to a great extent affect the level of costumer satisfaction.
VISUALISERING AV KATALOGHUS -med ADT och VIZ Render
The aim of this final thesis is to make it easier for the customer of a new designed house to get a picture of what the house will look like inside before it has been built.A method, which can be applied by any construction company who likes to visualize there buildings, has been designed and tested. One works after a regular design planning which is transformed into a three dimensional model of the house. In a rendering program, materials and surfaces are chosen for the model and then a picture of the finished product is made. The programs used for this work are ADT 2006 and VIZ Render.To evaluate the use of this method I?ve chosen to cooperate with LB-Hus which is a housing company that is specialized in building detached houses.
BIM - Tillämpning och effekt i byggprocessens olika skeden
Byggbranschen står inför stora förändringar i framtiden i och med att BIM (Building information model/Modelling/Management) successivt introduceras inom området. BIM innebär en förändrad arbetsmetod som kan ge förbättrade möjligheter att minska tidsåtgången och omarbetningar i ett förprojekteringsskede samt skapa ett effektivare projekterings- och produktionsskede med färre fel. BIM är ett relativt nytt sätt att inom byggbranschen bedriva projekt och innebär en förändring för olika skeden inom byggprocessen vilket påverkar inblandade parter.Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur Peab i Kiruna på bästa sätt kan nyttja möjligheterna som finns med BIM samt redogöra för några av de förändringar BIM kan innebära jämfört med nuvarande arbetsmetoder.En teoretisk del beskriver BIM och dess för- och nackdelar inom olika områden samt vilka hinder det finns för arbetsmetoden. Ett resultat baserat på den teoretiska delen förklarar att BIM i dagsläget främst bör nyttjas av Peab i Kiruna i ett anbudsskede, där ett förfrågningsunderlag görs om till en BIM-modell. Detta kan leda till underlättande för företaget att se fel i förfrågningsunderlag samt att utförande av mängdavtagning och kalkylering kan ske på ett enklare sätt.

This essay in how to create a brand identity is a result of a case study of the Spanish mobilephone company Xfera and their new brand ?Yoigo?. Our object was to identify the critical variables in the process of building a brand identity. To achieve this we collected data about the company through several interviews with respondents with good insight in the company. The critical variables that we obtained by analyzing the interviews are presented in an empirical driven model.

A variety of demands have to be considered in the design of a new opera house in Galärvarvet. All possible viewpoints are important to be aware of, as is the need for the new building to be a contrast to the already existing opera house in Stockholm. The restricted site also makes a multitude of demands on the building's design.By rationalizing the layout and structure and also by making the footprint smaller, the complex building of over 30 000 square meters can be fitted and blended into the existing physical context. Unlike the existing opera house in Stockholm, the new opera house shows the rationality and the advanced technology that lies behind the scenes and becomes the character of the entire building. Through the dynamic façade, the new opera can convey any character it so desires, just like scenes do through different settings.

It is desired to make the buildings rentable space more attractive and to extend the building with two more floors.
