I dagens konkurrensutsatta transportbransch blir det nödvändigt för åkerier utifrån ett hållbarhetsperspektiv att effektivisera sina transporter. Samtidigt blir behovet av snabba och mer frekventa leveranser större för att tillgodose kunders behov. För att styra åkerier mot bättre lönsamhet krävs att prestationer mäts och illustreras på en operativ nivå för att möjliggöra beslutsunderlag som enkelt går att använda för att effektivisera transporter.Denna uppsats har i syfte att undersöka vilka operativa nyckeltal som ett av de större inrikes åkerierna använder sig av och hur de använder dem, samt identifiera möjligheter och hinder som existerar för att utveckla enkla och standardiserade nyckeltal för gods- och vägtransporter på kretstrafik. I brist på tidigare forskning om standardiserade operativa nyckeltal för kretstrafik har en explorativ undersökning genomförts genom kvalitativ datainsamling, kombinerat med litteraturstudier. Metodvalet medför en djupare förståelse om vilka nyckeltal som kan generera ett holistiskt beslutsunderlag som tydligt kommunicera den operativa nyttan av transporterna, samt hur nyckeltalen kan användas för att effektivisera transportstyrning.Resultaten indikerar att det i dagsläget finns brist på sådana nyckeltal hos åkeriet.

Vårt syfte med detta arbete har varit att undersöka hur samverkan mellan geografiämnet och övriga ämnen i skolan ser ut. Vi har undersökt om lärarens teoretiska definition av och undervisning i geografiämnet har betydelse för i vilken utsträckning detta ämne integreras med övriga skolämnen. I undersökningen har vi använt oss av kvalitativa intervjuer samt, för undersökningen, relevant litteratur. Resultaten visade att en övervägande majoritet av lärarna kan hänföras till en ämnesbunden undervisning, vilken utgår från en traditionsstyrd och begränsad del av geografiämnet, nämligen kulturgeografin. En slutsats av resultaten i undersökningen är att undervisningen i geografi inte svara mot skolans främsta uppgift, att skapa förutsättningar så att eleverna utvecklar kunskaper och färdigheter, för att kunna navigera och agera i sin omvärld..

We believe that by building a strong personal brand you can increase the possibilities to influence the decisions of those responsible for recruitments in our society. The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to examine how user-friendly the OPAC of the Märsta public library is considered to be.Theoretical basis are HCI and Allwoods definition of usability. Issues are: Is the OPAC suited to its task? Is the OPAC user-friendly? How well does a user accept the OPAC? and What degree of competence is shown by users of the OPAC? The source material consists of six interviews in the form of .avi files. The method I have chosen is qualitative semi-structured interview form. The result is that, based on Carl Martin Allwood?s defini-tion and with exception for the using of help-resources, the usability of Märsta?s library OPAC can be considered less good..

The purpose of this study is to examine and compare librarian profession with different professional theories. The intention is to describe how the librarian profession meets the different professional criteria and to what extent the librarian profession can be said to be professional in expertise, service and autonomy. Nolin?s modern theory provides an opportunity to analyze occupational groups based on professionalized basic concepts. The analysis of relevant material showed that the librarian is a service profession with high skills, but does not hold a high degree of autonomy.

Enligt lag skall kommunala nämnder själva bedriva intern kontroll någon exakt definition av vad intern kontroll ges inte i lagen.I uppsatsen tar vi fasta på att det enligt en internationell modell som heter COSO behövs en fastställd plan för att man ska kunna utföra och följa upp kontrollen. Därför har vi studerat huruvida små och stora kommuner har en antagen intern kontrollplan.Metoden vi använt är datainsamling via e-post och i vissa delar ett efterföljande frågeformulär.Resultatet av undersökningen är att de kommuner som har en intern kontrollplan i stort kontrollerar samma saker oavsett om kommunerna är stora eller små. Det har också visat sig att andelen stora kommuner som har antagit en intern kontrollplan är betydligt högre jämfört med små kommuner. I slutsatsen har vi presenterat några delförklaringar till varför stora kommuner i större utsträckning har en internkontrollplan..

AbstractThis study examines the technologies appropriate in developing back-and solutions for search-driven user interfaces of e-commerce sites. The study is based on existing research in search-driven user interfaces of e-commerce sites from a design point of view, but instead the focus of this study lies within a back-end perspective. This choice of focus is a result of the gap that was encountered within research and other literature when it comes to general advice in how e-commerce sites best should build back-end solutions to support search driven user interfaces. The technologies that have been examined and compared are traditional relational databse management systems (RDMS) and the newer so called No-SQL database management systems, and also traditional search engines and the newer variant s of search engines. The study concludes that in some cases it is appropriate to combine traditional and newer technologies when it comes to databases, while the comparison of search engines indicates that there are some newer search en gines that have the ability to meet more of the needs that can be identified on the back-end solutions.Primary data consists of interviews made ?face to face? with experts on the subject and questionnaires addressed to selected e-commerce companies via e-mail.

PDF-files are to become a native file format in all prepress supplier workflows during 2006. This will give an opportunity to automate and develop a more stream lined prepress workflow. It is desirable to secure digital files by preflight the files early in the process. The objective with this project is therefore to find software that can automate parts of the preflight process and also to build up a well-functioning preflight workflow for preflighting both PDF-files and native files.Meetings have been held with preflight suppliers to find a solution for how to automate parts of the preflight in the prepress workflow. Seven preflight software companies demonstrated the possibilities with their products and four of these were chosen for continuing working with.

There are many ways to measure power in the industry, what they all have in common is that the installation is advanced, requires time and planning.

Background: When a patient suffer from a disease and is in need of palliative care, it is normal to have existential questions and thoughts. For some patients these questions can be painful and the nurse need to have knowledge about dealing with these kind of questions and thoughts to be able to relieve and/or prevent this kind of suffering.Aim: The aim was to describe how the nurse can prevent the existential suffering among patients with palliative care.Method: A literature-based study was based on eight qualitative studies.Results: The results showed that nurses meet patients in the palliative care environment which may suffer from existential problems when their questions and thoughts don´t get answered. It showed that the most important a nurse can do is to give time to these calls and build up a safe relation to the patient. This allows the nurse to read the patients existential questions and observing possibly suffering. The result is organized in two categories "To see and confirm" and " To listen and give support" and see subcategories " Use body language", " Create reliable relationship", respond to the existential questions", "Give the patient time", " take help from others in hard situations" and "to focus on other things"Conclusion: It is easy to only focus on the physical illness while caring for a patient and believe that it is creating suffering.

Syftet med detta arbete var att beskriva teorin om gerotranscendens och dess implementering i omvårdnaden av äldre. Frågeställningarna vi utgick ifrån var: Vad innebär gerotranscendens? Hur kan teorin implementeras i den praktiska omvårdnaden av äldre? Metoden vi använde var systematisk kunskapsöversikt. Teorin om gerotranscendens inför en ny förståelse om åldrandets process. Denna process medför en förändring av den äldres definition av verklighet från en materialistisk och rationell syn på omvärlden till en alltmer kosmisk och överskridande syn vilket för med sig ökad livstillfredställelse.

Syftet med studien var att förstå och beskriva vad som befrämjar respektive motverkar samverkan mot sexualiserat våld. Därtill var syftet att förstå och föra en diskussion om samverkans möjligheter till förändring ur ett genusperspektiv.De centrala frågeställningarna var; Vad anser deltagarna är motiven, förutsättningarna och hindren med samverkan? Vad har deltagarna för definition och perspektiv på sexualiserat våld? I vilken utsträckning kan samverkan tolkas som ett hinder eller en möjlighet till förändring?Studien är en kvalitativ studie med kvantitativa inslag. Metodpluralistiska tillvägagångssätt har använts, dels i datainsamlingsmetoden och dels i analysmetoden. Fyra enkätundersökningar har genomförts, en i Storbritannien och tre stycken i Sverige.
