Budgeten har länge kritiserats från olika håll för att budgetprocessen är tid- ochresurskrävande och för att den medför lite mervärde för företag. Dessutom blir budgetensnabbt inaktuell eftersom den inte tar hänsyn till dagens snabba omvärldsförändringar.Trots detta används den idag som ett centralt styr- och uppföljningsverktyg hos mångaföretag runt om i världen. På grund av att budgeten har ifrågasatts har rullande prognosersom ett alternativt styrmedel uppmärksammats mycket. Rullande prognoser ärfördelaktiga när det råder betydande osäkerhet i företagets omgivning och budgetendärför snabbt blir inaktuell. Dock finns det delade meningar om rullande prognoser rollsom styrverktyg.

En kvalitativ fallstudie där vi med hjälp av öppna personliga intervjuer talat med folk i ledande befattningar på vår fallkoncern Elektrokoppargruppen för att forma oss en bild av hur budgeten fungerar på företaget. Utifrån valda teorier om budget och dess process har vi sedan analyserat företaget och dess situation. Utav budgetprocessens tre delar har vi kommit fram till att budget är ett effektivt styrverktyg under planeringsstadiet i fallföretaget. I den löpande styrningen och uppföljningen är den däremot dysfunktionell där vi anser att budgeten spelar en kompletterande roll till nyckeltalen som är det överordnade styrinstrumentet. Detta beror främst på de oberäkneliga råvarupriserna.

Budget är en företeelse som har funnits under en lång tid och begreppet har flera olika definitioner. Det är inte alltid det lättaste jobb som företag har framför sig när de ska planera sin budget och speciellt inte om deras omgivning förändras på grund av till exempel efterfrågan på deras tjänst. Därför ansåg jag det intressant att studera hur företag budgeterar när det förekommer variationer i deras omgivning För att besvara syftet har två e-postintervjuer gjorts på två olika företag som bedriver skidanläggning. De slutsatser som jag kunde dra av min undersökning var att företag påverkas av deras omgivning när de budgeterar och att budgeten var något som de inte ville eller skulle klara sig utan. Båda fallstudieföretagen ansåg att uppföljningen med budgeten var viktigt eftersom denna gav underlag för nästa budget..

Vad gäller relationen mellan budget och Balanced Scorecard har fyra dimensioner utkristalliserats. Dessa är den sekventiella-, kompletterande-, dominerande- och strategiska dimensionen. I stort kontrasterar WM-data Utilities och Lunds Energi företaget Alfa Laval i förhållande till relationen. I alla tre företagen kan observeras att både budget och Balanced Scorecard fungerar vad gäller strategiimplementering. Budgetens roll vad gäller strategiimplementering försvagas då modellen i huvudsak endast berör medarbetare i centrala positioner inom företagen.

Purpose: From an activity-perspective examine the meaning of housing accessibility and older persons´ perception of participation. Method: Systematic literature review of articles searched in the databases, Medline, Pubmed, Ahmed, Cinahl, Scopus and Google Scholar. Search on individual keywords, and in various combinations of the words home environment, home modification, occupational therapy, aging, accessibility and participation. Nine scientific articles were examined. Results: The articles were published between 2005 and 2009.

Budget framhålls som ett viktigt styrinstrument för företag och användningsområdena är många. Blumentritt (2006) och Orlando (2009) är överens om att budgetprocessen borde vara integrerad i verksamheten för att främja de strategier som finns. Mintzberg (1979) menar att företag kommer att organisera sig på olika sätt beroende på hur deras omvärld ser ut. Vi är intresserade av att se hur företag arbetar med sin budgetprocess i kombination med de strategier och den struktur som finns.Syftet med vårt arbete är att med en multipel fallstudie beskriva de eventuella samband som finns i hur företagen i vår undersökning arbetar med budgetprocessen i organiationens kontext. Hur kombinerar företag sitt struktur- och strategiarbete med sin budgetprocess?Vår kvalitativa studie består av fem fallstudier.

The purpose of this study is to examine how adolescents can participate and have influence in the society, by making obstacles and opportunities that are considered central for their possibilities to power visible. National and international research indicates that adolescents opportunities to participation and influence are limited by the structures of society. A qualitative method was chosen, in which group interviews were made with 14 youths in development areas in Örebro. Theories are presented which constitute tools for analysis of the obtained results and has been chosen based on power- and participation perspective. An analytical model has been used to illuminate what kind of participation adolescents have in different parts of the society, where the concepts from the theoretical perspectives, power and participation are inserted.

People are given better opportunities to participate in polity today. Democratic equality entails that all individuals are equal and therefore they should be included in the process of making the decisions. How can participation be defined and does it mean that having the possibility to participate means that people can influence the process of making the decisions in polity process?This paper focuses on participation and influence in polity and examine the relationship between having the possibility to participate and having the possibility to actually influence polity process on more local level. Therefore I have been examining the citizens? participation and influence in Helsingborg which is my case study.

Frågan är om budgeten är ett nödvändigt ont eller bara en gammal vana.Syfte:            Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka småföretagares uppfattning om budget- och budgetlös styrning. Detta för att ta reda på om det är dags att lämna den traditionella budgeten bakom sig?Metod:          Insamlingen av empirisk data har skett genom direkt intervjuer med fyra företag i Eskilstuna. Dessa företag har mellan 20-49 anställda.

This thesis title starting from zero alludes to storstadssatsningen's democratic work being accomplished among immigrants in Malmö. My thesis examines which types of political participation storstadssatsningen were trying to increase. The goal was to turn the immigrants into political participants, but in many of the projects the democratic work had to focus on building a ground for democratic participation by bringing isolation to an end and teaching the Swedish language. This may have been the reason that there were not extensive forms of resources to put into projects actually raising the political awareness. Some of the projects can however be said to increase a very large number of types of political participation, both temporary and every day participation.

The Swedish school law says that students who need special education should have all the support they need to reach the qualification that is set up. The arrangements have to be written down in an Individual education plan (IEP). Before the IEP is set up there has to be an investigation about what kind of support and measures the student needs to reach the qualification that is set up. The aim of this study is to examine student?s participation in school and in the progress with their own IEP.I have accomplished a qualitative study by interviewing eight students during the letter part in the nine-year school.

Studies show that older is an increased proportion patients in hospital and that it is a patient group that can be difficult to communicate with because of older patients' often multiple disease picture. Relatives to the patient can be help for caregivers in the communication and the care of the patient. The aim with the study was to examine relative's experience of participation, meeting/support, accessibility and information on a geriatrics rehabilitation care unit. The study had a descriptive design and was designed as a questionnaire study. It was implemented on one geriatrics rehabilitation care unit on the countryside in central Sweden, belong to Uppsala University hospital.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the extent of the civil rights political participation on a municipality level. The starting-point is the participatory democratic theory. I have chosen to make a case study of the extent of participation among KPR ? the board of the pensioners in the municipality of Skara. KPR is represented by fourteen members from the seven existing associations for pensioners.

Speaking of budget and budgeting is almost as adding fuel to the fire. The subject evokes a lot of emotions, both positive and negative. Some might consider budgets as a bureaucratic process that won?t lead to any good. Others might find budgets as extremely helpful and necessary in a company?s planning process.

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the places importance for young people with disabilities. The study?s central questions are what type of places they visit and what characterizes them. It is also about answering the questions why the places are visited and what meaning this has for participation and identity. The study´s central concept is room/place, participation and identity.
