In the gaming industry, it has long been popular to combine genres with the aim ofcreating games that bring together the best of several worlds. However, there are stillmany unexplored combinations with good potential.This report addresses the planning and development of a game prototype that combinestwo game genres, turn-based and real-time strategy. In addition to presenting the results,the report also discusses the di culties that were encountered and how they were handled.The prototype contains a working combat system and a basic AI. The prototype ismodular, which means that it is easy for an end user to extend the game with extra content.Most elements that were considered important from the two genres were implemented, butthere is still room for improvement and further development.The result is evaluated by means of quality assurance, a process that is commonly usedin the gaming industry. The response has been generally positive, which indicates thatthe combination has potential and should be explored further..

This study is an investigation of a sub community within the community of Hovsjö. The local government has financed a project in Hovsjö which is intended to bring about positive development. The prior object of this paper is to describe the project, it?s planning, it?s methods, it?s carrying through, and it?s goals. This study presents the district of Hovsjö in Södertälje.

För att kunna nå politiskt uppsatta nationella klimatmål för 2050 krävs en ökad användning av järnväg. Samtidigt belastas järnvägen mer och mer eftersom varor och människor reser mer och längre. Denna tendens och politikens ökade fokus på järnväg medför att järnvägen troligen kommer få en ökad betydelse inom stadsutveckling och eventuellt även ta mer mark i anspråk. Parallellt finns i Sverige en tendens till yteffektivisering där städer omvandlar ledig mark och övergivna tomter i en önskan att motverka urban sprawl. Problemet är att det kring järnväg skapas ytor som är svåra att använda.

The right to the city has lately become the rallying cry for many urban social movements all over the world to challenge neoliberal planning, gentrification, the privatization of urban commons and growing spatial and social gaps in city and society. This senior essay studies urban social movements that in different ways advocate the idea of the right to the city. The term right to the city was coined in the late 1960s by French urban theorist Henri Lefebvre, who promoted the idea of the city as a common, a space belonging to everyone. The right to the city is not ?a return to traditional cities?, but ?a right to urban life? (1996:158).This study focuses on the city of Hamburg.

In my essay I have examined how teachers look upon their role as leader in the classroom. I have interviewed six teachers, senior level ones and teachers from the upper secondary school, about how they look upon tasks that involve planning, control, motivation, groups, and individuals. Based on their answers, I have analyzed if there is anything that can be related to a common leader competence within their profession and, in that case, how it will appear.The result that I have found has been that it exists a common leadership style that teachers are more or less conscious of. The teachers decide on what level the classes or the pupils are andafter that decision they plan their education. The leadership in the classroom can be of different kinds depending on the situation.

Kraven har ökat på insyn och inflytande från medborgarna i samhällsutvecklingen. Medborgarnas medverkan i planeringsprocessen är viktig av flera skäl. Arenor där medborgarna ges möjlighet att diskutera och debattera behövs. Bland annat har tillkomsten av Internet skapat nya möjligheter till dialog mellan medborgare och myndigheter. Demokrati och IT var för sig skulle man kunna betrakta som två stora intresseområden i vårt samhälle.

Stockholms stad förväntas fram till 2030 öka sin befolkningsmängd med 150 000 nya invånare. Därmed uppkommer behov av att också grannskapsförorterna expanderar. Kan en relativt kraftig expansion ske i dessa förorter och hur bör i så fall dess struktur och form att förändras? Förortsutbyggnaden i Stockholm skedde i en expansiv tid, då det fanns en stark misstro mot staden som fenomen. Grannskapsförorterna, uppförda från 1940-talet till mitten av 60-talet, planerades efter ett lantligt ideal, med naturen som övergripande system där människans behov av vila skulle tillgodoses.

PDF handling is often meant to be used in books and inregular text documents, but it could also be used in the management of drawings.An industry that would benefit greatly from the use of tablets for this purpose is the con- struction industry.

Innan en patient som bedöms vara i behov av insatser från kommunens socialtjänst eller annan öppenvård med mera skrivs ut från slutenvården måste en vårdplanering utföras. Vårdplaneringen utförs av patientansvarig sjuksköterska tillsammans med ett antal representanter från öppenvården. Syftet med studien är att belysa hur sjuksköterskor inom landstinget upplever samordnad vårdplanering. Metoden som användes var en kvalitativ enkätundersökning. Resultatet baseras på tio enkäter ifyllda av sjuksköterskor på lungmedicin på KSS i Skövde.

In the current situation there is not much written about assessment of laboratory work, and the majority of the working physics teachers are retiring and there are only a few newly qualified physics teachers. The purpose of this thesis is to examine how physics teachers assess laboratory work within upper secondary schools, with Gy2011 in mind. The new grade system, Gy2011, has a larger focus on the laboratory work then the earlier system Lpf 94. Skolverket has in their man-ual with examples of assessment two different sorts of laboratory experiments. The first assess-ment is regarding the planning of a laboratory work and the other about how able the pupil exe-cutes laboratory work.

Arbetet är en teoristyrd fallstudie på Amiralen och Slottsbackens handelsområden, med syfte att undersöka möjligheten att skapa en trevligare visuell externhandelsmiljö med hjälp av förtätning och funktionsintegrering. För att göra detta jämför och förenas handelsperspektiv på platsen med kända stadsbyggnadsbegrepp. Arbetes teori grundar sig på Jane Jacobs syn på staden som centrum för mångfald, Joel Garreaus teoretiserande av externhandelscentrumen utifrån begreppet Edge Cities, samt en syn på den täta staden som en hållbar stad. För att skapa den mångfaldiga staden krävs en inplantering av olika funktioner med olika tidsscheman, så att gaturummet ständigt befolkas av en varierande sammansättning människor. Vid sidan av detta förespråkas små kvarter, en tät stad med hög koncentration av människor och en bebyggelse med blandad bebyggelse från olika tidsåldrar.

I dagens segregationsdiskurs läggs fokus ofta på de storskaliga miljonprogrammen. De människor som bor där beskylls ofta för att själva vara orsaken till segregationsproblemen. En vanlig uppfattning är att dessa människor genom egna val bidragit till de segregationsmönster vi har idag. Sällan belyses andra gruppers val som orsak till fenomenet. Miljonprogrammet uppfördes mellan 1965 och 1975 av den socialdemokratiska regeringen som en symbol för det moderna välfärdssamhället. Alla skulle formas till moderna människor.

Through this thesis, we want to discuss how the marginalization of people, several precedent political, city planning- and engineering decisions resulted in a catastrophic outcome after hurricane Katrina in New Orleans 2005. We also put forward a case study of the Make It Right Foundation, to demonstrate how the residents of the Lower Ninth Ward are involved in the urban development of their community. We would like to draw attention to the power of citizens and how they can influence the urban development of a community after a trauma. This study also focuses on the mission of The Make It Right Foundation: which is to rebuild the Lower Ninth Ward with firm concepts on sustainable development where all dimensions are accounted: ecological, social, cultural and economic. The empirical data was collected by a field study in New Orleans 2010-03-22 and semistructured interviews were made during the same days..

Due to their complexity and heavy wear from rail traffic, switches are a sensitive part of the railway infrastructure and moreover expensive to maintain. Furthermore, increasing railway traffic not only accelerates the wear rate but also obstructs the necessary maintenance measures. This paper examines the opportunities for a transition to a long-term maintenance strategy in the Swedish railway network. It contains a study of the maintenance strategy of Banverket, and also analyses statistics of errors in the railway infrastructure. The survey was completed utilising interviews with infrastructure managers, maintenance contractors, planners of railway operations and the Banverket material service department.
