No summary of feeding recommendations for foals exists today, which is why this subject was chosen for a literature study. The aim of this study was to describe nutrient requirements of healthy full term foals and how the feeding should be designed to raise foals if they lose their mother. Mare milk composition changes during lactation to meet the requirements of the suckling foal. Foals are Born with enzymes in their small intestine and the concentrations of these follow the consumption patterns of the foal. Microbes colonizes the gut as the foal becomes older and these changes cause foal diarrhea.

The Swedish old-age care will in the near future face an extensive need to recruit enrolled nurses by virtues of the demographical development. The generation Born in the 1940s will soon retire, and at the same time the rest of the population is growing older. One thing that becomes more important in how to draw more people to the old-age care, is to understand how the ones who allready work there experience their own worksituation.The purpose of this study was to find out how enrolled nurses from two different generations experienced their own occupational role and make similarities and differences between the two generations experiences visible. The topics of interest in our study are the respondents own thoughts about their education, their worksituation today, what they think of the future and how they believe others regard their work. To fulfill the purpose of our study we used qualitative interviews.

In contemporary Sweden political participation among foreign-Born Swedes is viewed as low and it is well known that foreign-Born individuals do not use their voting rights to the same extent as the general population. At the same time there are numerous ethnic associations around the country who work with various activities involving political, democratic and integration issues. This study aims to study how four members of a Somali association regard, relate to and work with politics, democracy and integration. The study is based on these four people, but also on their relationship with authorities and other agencies in the community. The conclusion of this study shows in brief that the desire to participate politically is great, but that democracy and politics is accessible to all, depending on the level of language skills and what political knowledge the individual has.

Lots of choices are to be made by a company who enters a new market with a new businessidea. Common questions that show up when a company is making it´s businessplan are how to target the market and how to use marketing as a tool to reach a specific customer or segment. It is difficult to know wether to target the market in different ways and what processes that can be used in the choice how to select the most potential and profitable customer. Another important question is how a company can positioning themself in a way so the customer will get a positive understanding of the company and what different positive abilities to mention in a possible businessproposal. This study is made on a small company in Sweden called AYEN Technology.

I inledningen förklarar vi vårt intresse för svenska företag som har framgång utomlands, och hur vi utgick ifrån detta, våra personliga perspektiv och ett intresse för så kallade Born globals då vi valde fokus för uppsatsen. Vi avgränsade oss till att undersöka entreprenöriella uppsalabaserade programvaruföretag med utländska kunder, vilka kan sägas vara bra representanter för Born global kategorin. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur dessa kommer i kontakt med sina internationella kunder.Teoriavsnittet inleds med en orientering av traditionell internationaliseringsteori och varför denna inte är applicerbar på Born globals, varpå en definition av detta begrepp följer. Därefter presenteras en modell för att förklara uppkomsten av Born globals, där vikten av intern kunskap framhävs. Vad avser specifikt hur själva kontakten med kunderna uppstår, är ett område där vi inte funnit några förklaringar i teorin.Vi har ur en företagsdatabas sorterat ut de företag som stämmer in på våra kriterier för studien.

Den svenska modeindustrin spås en ljus framtid och har trots 2000-taletslågkonjunktur nått nya exportrekord. Den tuffa inhemska konkurrensen har gjort attetablering på utländska marknader blivit avgörande för de svenska modeföretagen.Det finns dock endast begränsad kunskap om internationaliseringsprocessen för dennabransch.Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka metoder som används av små ochmedelstora svenska modeföretag vid internationalisering och de bakomliggandeorsakerna till dessa metoder.Studien baseras på en kvalitativ undersökning av fem svenska modeföretag som sedananalyserats med ett teoretiskt ramverk av internationaliseringsprocesser.Resultatet visar att det inte finns en applicerbar modell för branschensinternationalisering. De studerade företagen har alla inlett internationaliseringen medetableringar på enstaka närliggande, lågriskmarknader. Företagen har därefter ändratriktning i sin internationaliseringsprocess då marknader längre bort penetrerats. Vidvalet av dessa marknader har tidigare erhållen intern kunskap och nätverk, varitavgörande.

We were commissioned to do this study by the Red Cross Centre for victims of torture and war (RKC) in Skövde and questions was asked about how it can be to come as a refugee to a new country and start over. The purpose of this study was to search for a deeper knowledge about older immigrants experiences of their integration in the Swedish community. The conception of ?older immigrant? aimed of persons Born before 1954 since these persons culturally was the older ones in the patient group at RKC. This study handled both men and women, was categorised in different themes and was analysed from theoretical points about identity and crises.

Svenska Lantchips is a Swedish SME sized snack manufacturer. Being a small, medium sized, family-owned business with branches throughout the world, they make an interesting company for a case study. The case study I have conducted focuses on the internationalisation process of this family owned company ? how they, despite their size, find ways to keep up an unique business structure, designed for internationalisation.The aim of this essay is to compare Svenska Lantchips? internationalisation process with traditional internationalisation theories and see if these are compatible with this company. The theories used are The Uppsala Model, The Network Model, and The Born Global Theory, with The Born Global Theory representing the younger generation of models.After undertaking an in-depth interview with Michael Hansen, business developer at Svenska Lantchips, I collated a substantial amount of material, which I have used as the basis of this essay.

The aim of this study was to, from a special educational approach, describe and analyse nine teachers and headmasters experiences and perceptions of the use of laptos, ?1-1?, as a tool for working with 13-16 year old pupils Born outside of Sweden and with special educational needs (SEN). Interviews were used for data collection. The interview material was analysed with the phenomenografic analysis method and with meaning condensation method. The result was analysed through three perspectives on special education and the concept of inclusion as the study?s frame of reference.

Uppsatsens huvudsakliga tema är internationaliseringsprocessen för små innovativa företag. Vårt syfte har varit att undersöka huruvida de evolutionistiska modellerna kan förklara internationaliseringsmönstret hos små innovativa företag eller om det är andra faktorer som styr. Några av de teorier vi behandlar är uppsalamodellen och nätverksmodellen samt den så kallade Born global teorin. Vi vill med vår studie komma fram till om den stegvisa internationaliseringen, som uppsalamodellen förespråkar, även kan förklara de innovativa företagens internationaliseringsprocess. Den huvudsakliga empirin har vi hämtat från fallstudier med tre små innovativa företag där vi närmare granskat dess olika internationaliseringsprocesser.

The purpose of this study is to identify a successful way of expanding a business on a global market, focusing on innovation products. An analysis was also made to see how internationalization theories are useful in businesses with innovation products. Four companies have been interviewed where two of them have innovation products (Proline AB and Q-Med AB) and the others are widely successful in exporting to a global market (Safegate Group and Weda Poolcleaners AB). Furthermore four interviews have been made with support organizations that have great experience in helping companies in this area (Svenska Uppfinnareföreningen, Almi Företagspartner AB, Exportrådet and The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce).One of the results that can be identified is the diverse view and will to expand the business. The inventor often has a Born global strategy in mind whereas the helping organizations rather expand step by step and only to one country at a time.

Information has also been collected throug an interview over the phone with the school´s welfare officer, and the school´s policy dokuments have been read. Social work in schools is mentioned in the study as preventive measures with youths when it comes to bullying, alcohol, drugs, sex and coexistance and tobacco.

The National Libraries task to save and preserve the national cultural heritage has turned to a new challenge in a digital world. The preservation of Born-digital material for future use requires not only saving the digital object itself but also information about the object, preservation metadata. This is a relatively new issue and the library community has very little experience in this area. It has become evident that international cooperation is necessary to solve the task and that the development of international standards is of fundamental significance. This thesis investigates what has been done to meet the problems with the fast obsolescence of digital material with the focus on metadata.

The aim of this study was to examine young men Born between 1990-1995 with anorectal malformations (ARM) whom have undergone the new PSARP-operation starting in 1990, and how they experience their psychosocial and sexual health. The study also examines how they cope with their life situation and what their experience is of the health care and how they were responded to through out the years. This study is a qualitative research and consists seven semi- structured interviews with young men between sixteen and twenty years old. The analyses of this material resulted in three themes around which the study centers: psychosocial health, sexual health and the medical establishment and the informants thoughts about the proposition of counseling for themselves and other individuals Born with ARM. The study shows that these young men have a good psychosocial health and a likely reason for that is good parental relationships and close friendships.
