The aim of this essay is to investigate which of the goals in the syllabus, and with that what knowledge of Swedish, four students taking the SFI (Swedish for Immigrants) level 3 course believed themselves to have attained and to compare their self-assessments with their results on the National Test of Swedish for adult immigrants.The method used for the investigation is the individual interview. In addition to taking the National Test, the participants in the investigation were asked to mark the goals they believe themselves to have attained.The results show that the informants who best demonstrated awareness of their own knowledge are able to talk freely about their knowledge and difficulties, and when they mark the goals they believe they have attained, these correspond, on the whole, to how they responded in the interviews.One of the informants finds it more difficult than the others to assess her knowledge. A comparison between her experiences and the National Test results revealed several inconsistencies. For example, she claims that she can communicate in Swedish, but still she didn?t pass the test..

Over time, species colonize new areas naturally or through humans. If the established population becomes isolated afterthe colonization event genetic diversity will remain low and if the population, in addition,remains small in size for an extended period this will lead to increased inbreeding andpossibly inbreeding depression. Metrioptera roeselii is a common species with awidespread distribution in continental Europe. During the last century, it has expanded tothe Scandinavian Peninsula which is separated from continental Europe by the Baltic Sea.My aim was to test the hypothesis that individuals in isolated populations in Scandinaviaincluding Denmark and the Baltic Sea islands are smaller than individuals in thecontinuous part of its distribution due to low genetic diversity and lacking incoming geneflow.

Alltmedan antalet konsumenter ökar som uppger att de vill köpa etiskt märkta varor, uppvisar resultat från ett flertal studier ett gap mellan konsumenters attityd och beteende i fråga om etiska köp. Åtskilliga försök har gjorts till att förklara ?gapet? mellan attityd och beteende men i flera fall har en förenklad bild av relationen mellan dessa tillämpats.Frågan är därför om ?gapet? skulle återfinnas om hänsyn tas till de beteendevetenskapliga teorier som ligger till grund för detta gap. I denna studie undersöks om attityden mot köp av etiskt märkta varor är bättre på att förutsäga individens köpbeteende än attityden mot etiskt märkta varor i allmänhet. Detta syfte undersöktes genom semistrukturerade intervjuer med nio konsumenter.

Using leaching test is a way to get a picture of pollutants retention and leaching in a risk assessment on contaminated land. There are several different types of standardised leaching tests today, where the natural leaching processes are speeded up to make it possible to predict the leaching of pollutants. These leaching tests have been developed for waste and there are no specific guidelines on how to judge the results from the tests, when making a risk assessment on contaminated land. This work is an investigation on how to use leaching test in this type of risk assessments. The strengths and weaknesses of the different types of tests are discussed. Depending on what type of information you want from your leaching test, different types of tests are suitable.

Härdplaster är en hälsovådlig produkt om den hanteras på ett felaktigt sätt. Sjömän tillhör en yrkesgrupp som använder denna produkt i sitt arbete ombord på olika fartyg. Det har visat sig från andra studier att andra yrkesgrupper inte tar nödvändiga skyddsåtgärder för att skydda sig mot härdplaster. Mot bakgrund till detta var syftet i denna studie att ta reda på hur sjökaptensstudenter förhåller sig till härdplaster och dess risker ombord. Undersökningen är baserad på åtta intervjuer bestående av avgångsstudenter från Sjökaptensprogrammet i Kalmar.

Vårt examensarbete belyser den svenska grammatiken i grundskolan. Viktiga utgångspunkter är grammatiken i skolan och grammatikens historia. Syftet med vår undersökning var att se vad högstadieelever har för attityd till grammatik. Vi har gjort en enkätundersökning med 42 elever, varav 21 var pojkar och 21 var flickor, 10 intervjuer. Det redovisas i tabeller och diagram.

Different field tests are currently used in a wide extent in different levels of soccer teams. To be able to assess the players? physiological status the tests must have high validity, reliability and external validity. Many different tests have been developt, but currently only five of these tests are most commonly used: Yo-Yo intermittent recovery test (YIRT), Yo-Yo intermittent endurance test (YIET), Multi-sprint-test, Beep-test and Cooper-test. Presently there is no definitive conclusion regarding which of these tests is most suitable for soccer players.

Tidigare forskning har visat att attityder a?r tillfo?rlitliga fo?r att fo?rutspa? individens ko?pbeteende. Konsumentens attityd och uppfattning till branschen kan da?rfo?r vara en del av fo?rklaring till dess negativa tillva?xt och svaga sta?llning.

The aim for this master thesis is to create an understanding of the intersubjective processes of how individuals are experimenting with their identities in social media and the consequences for the identity and embodiment. The thesis is completed with the help of discourse analysis and a starting point in four complementary theories. Central to the implementation of the analysis is the concept of diffraction. Therefore the thesis is, which is reflected in the choice of theoretical approaches and methods, critical to many aspects of classical philosophy of science and method. The empirical material is based on interviews.

I tidigare forskning visas ett samband mellan framställningen av kvinnor i media och kvinnors självbildsuppfattning. Studier har även gjorts med fokus på män där ett samband mellan media och mäns självbild visas. Studien avser undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan medias framställning av ideala modeller och unga vuxnas syn på kroppslig självbild, samt hur mediaanvändning skiljer sig mellan könen och om användningen har en effekt på kroppslig självbild. En enkätundersökning med 90 deltagare (43 kvinnor och 47 män) i ålder 18-30 utfördes. Deltagarna fick fylla i en internetenkät med antingen ideala bilder, alldagliga bilder eller en enkät utan bilder.

Dagens utveckling av mjukvara går snabbare och snabbare samtidigt som mjukvaran blir allt mer komplex. Att under dessa omständigheter kunna bibehålla en lika om inte högre kodkvalité är en utmaning. På UIQ bestämde de sig för att undersöka om ett automatiserat unit test kunde hjälpa dem. Metoderna för att komma fram till resultaten i denna rapport har varit intervjuer, en enkät, intern information och litteratur så som forskningsartiklar m.m. Denna rapport är en utredning av automatiserade test, vad man bör tänka på, vilka fördelarna är, vilka testfall som är möjliga att automatisera med mera. Rapporten kommer även att presentera grunderna i testning av mjukvara, en introduktion till eXtreme Programming och Test-Driven Development samt hur testningen utförs på UIQ idag. Då jag kom fram till att ett automatiserat unit test skulle passa sig bra på UIQ kommer jag i slutet av denna rapport presentera ett implementerings förslag. Man bör även införa en test driven utvecklings metodik för att säkerhetsställa att det kommer att utvecklas automatiserade testfall..

The fitting room is an important part of a clothing store, it's often where the customer decides if they want to buy the garment or not. Therefore it is important that the customer can feel safe and comfortable when they are trying the clothing. A typical fitting room in Sweden today has only one bright spotlight that emits light either towards the face or from the ceiling above. This study explores possible lighting solutions that take into account the customer's experience in the fitting room.The study aim to increase understanding of the importance of a good light in fitting rooms, so that customers gets a nice experience and that clothes, body shape and facial features are shown in a natural way. The issue therefore included how lighting can affect the customer's perception of the clothing and how the perception of body shape, facial features and the clothes change in different lighting solutions.To answer these questions, observations were made in various clothing stores, followed by an experimental study divided into two parts.

Osseointegrated titanium implants have become a commonly used method in edentulous jaws and today there are success rates in the magnitude of 82 % in the lower jaw and 98 % in the upper. During first year after implantation a fully normal marginal bone loss of 1-2 mm occurs. If the bone loss continues there is a risk of implant failure. High tensions in bone and inflammation caused by bacteria are possible reasons for this problem. It has been shown that a leakage of bacterias occurs between the parts of the implant and there are theories that this has effects on the marginal bone loss. The aim of this thesis has been to increase the knowledge about microbial leakage with help of in vitro tests and virtual simulations.

Eftersom vi båda har genomgått inriktningen matematik för tidigare år känns det naturligt att valet av examensarbete föll på ämnet matematik. Vi har var sitt barn som går i klass 3 men de är av olika kön detta har förstärkt vår motivation till detta arbete. Vi vill undersöka vad för sorts attityd de olika könen har till ämnet matematik i en klass tre i Piteå kommun. Med attityd menar vi ?en persons inställning till något? (Svenska Akademins Ordlista, 1998).
