This master thesis is a story about the development of a rosary in Lomma hamn. During spring 2004 I attended a competition arranged by the municipality of Lomma and SLU Alnarp. The assignment was to design a rosary. The jury liked my ideas and invited me to proceed and develop them. The rosary in Lomma hamn was built in 2006. The Lomma hamn area is being developed as a new part of Lomma.

In the Western world the interest in science in schools is steadily declining. Focusing on interest is important to encourage students to lifelong learning which is a written purpose of the Swedish curriculum. This literature study examines if biology education outside in nature could be a part of the solution for this problem and the question of issue is how can education outdoor enhance students? interest for biology and what other aspects does this effect simultaneously? The method of block search was selected for addressing this question, utilizing the ERIC and ERC databases. The results show that situational interest increased with outside education due to aspects such as: novelty, hands-on, knowledge acquisition and social interaction.

Syftet med vÄr studie var att undersöka femÄringars tillÀgnande av matematikinnehÄll i tvÄ olika matemaiksamlingar. I den första matematiksamlingen fick barnen rÀkna föremÄl som fanns i matteburkar som illustrerade antalen noll till tio. I den andra matematiksamlingen sorterade barnen med hjÀlp av logiska block, vilket Àr olika geomertiska former. Studiens metod var kvalitativ och genomfördes med observationer och intervjuer. Observationerna videoobserverades Àven och intervjuerna gjordes individuellt med barnen efter att de deltagit i matematiksamlingarna.

Detta examensarbete syftar till att implementera en modulgenerator som automatiskt genererar ett matchat differentialpar. Detta för att enkelt kunna generera detta vanlig förekommande byggblock utan att behöva rita om allt frÄn grunden. Modulgeneratorn som konstruerats klarar att skapa upp till 2x2 transistor block matchad layout med eller utan sköld. Programmet skapar med hjÀlp av indata frÄn konstruktören en skrÀddarsydd layout som kan anvÀndas som byggblock i integrerade kretsar. Construction companies are frequently criticized for high prices and long construction time. At the same time, statistics shows that construction workers are on the sick-list for occupational injuries or casualties more than other groups at the labour market.Skanska built a block of flats with tenant-ownerships in GĂ€vle. The construction consists of concrete walls with in-fill walls in the front. The purpose with this degree project is to perform a risk analysis in work environment with focus on repetitive strain injuries and control the time report for in-fill walls manufactured in a field factory. The result of this project will help to make more realistic cost predictions in the future.This degree project has been performed in cooperation with the construction company Skanska.

This is a 20 credit Master thesis within the landscape architecture education at the Institute for Landscape Planning at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences at Alnarp. NorrÀnga is situated on the fringe of the city of Lund, east of the existing district of Linero.The city planning office of Lund municipality has come up with a ?in-depth comprehensive plan? for the exploatation of the eastern area of Lund. The plan concerns an area of 1035 square kilometre which contains at least 1500 nya buildings, two schools, primaryschools, stores and bus station for local bus traffic and the new bus line - LundalÀnken. The townplan is inspired from the historical Square block city with defined street system. The municipality has visions of what the green areas should consist of.

Detta examensarbete har en distinkt avgrÀnsning vilket innebÀr att enbart binÀra koder som kan beskrivas med en generator- och en kontrollmatris behandlas, det vill sÀga linjÀra block koder. För att se hur felsannolikheten varierar har tvÄ metoder anvÀnts, dels en fullstÀndig undersökning vilket innebÀr att alla linjÀrkombinationer av en generatormatris undersöks, dels en slumpmÀssig vilken innebÀr att enbart ett antal slumpmÀssigt utvalda linjÀrkombinationer undersöks. Den sistnÀmnda metoden anvÀnds enbart nÀr det blir för tidsödande att genomföra en fullstÀndig undersökning. Resultatet visar att alla avbildningar till en linjÀr kod inte Àr ekvivalenta med avseende pÄ felsannolikheten för de olika bitpositionerna i meddelandeordet. Detta innebÀr att vissa linjÀrkombinationer av en generatormatris för en given kod beter sig bÀttre Àn den ursprungliga generatormatrisen som definierar koden.

This pilot study examined whether treatment with Vortex Process Technology (VPT) of the irrigation water used on tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) plants had any effect on plant growth. In a block experiment, with two blocks comprising 12 vases containing 1 L water and two tomato plantlets, treatment in which, nutrient solution was based on Vortex-treated water was compared with an control using untreated water. All vases were kept in a static aerated culture system in a daylight chamber for four weeks. The results showed that the effect of the two blocks exceeded the effect of vortex treatment in terms of leaf area and weight of fresh and dry matter. Plant height, stem width and internodal length were significantly different in tomato plants grown in Vortex-processed water compared with the untreated control.

Abstract In high voltage substations there is an increasing demand for computerized equipment, and automation of operation and supervision. The future primary equipment will provide the possibility to collect more information and to provide better control for improved effectiveness. Since ABB has got a large customer target, each product must be custom made to fulfil the customers (often from different countries) demands. Later these products will be configured by engineers who may not be familiar with the tools used at ABB. This is a very expensive and time consuming.

Syftet med studien var att belysa tvÄ förskollÀrares syn pÄ matematik och matematikundervisning, deras syn pÄ barn och matematik samt deras syn pÄ interaktionen mellan förskollÀrare, barn och matematiskt material. I detta syfte ingick det att studera förskollÀrarnas syn utifrÄn ett genusperspektiv. För att genomföra undersökningen gjordes en kvalitativ fallstudie dÀr en intervjustudie som baseras pÄ observationsfall anvÀndes som metod. Tre fall valdes ut, en delad i tvÄ block som visar pÄ hÀndelser som upprepar sig i vÄra observationer och som anvÀndes i intervjuerna med de tvÄ förskollÀrarna. Resultatet visar pÄ att de tvÄ förskollÀrarna Àr medvetna om vikten av att fÄ in matematik och matematikundervisning redan i förskolan, men att de ibland missar det.

The aim of the report is to develop a new design proposal for an existingsenior high school building in SkÀrholmens Center, Stockholm. Theschoolhouse is a result of the extensive residential project during theperiod between the years 1965-75 in our large cities peripheral and holdsanonymousand "gray face" that has characterized many houses from thesame era. Over the years, the number of students steadily declined andthe reason lies partly in the school's physical environment which cancertainly be regarded as substandard. This despite the fact that it islocated right next to SwedenŽs largest trading block. A thorough analysisof the school building and the ambient area has been made incombination with a continuous dialogue with students and staff at theschool.

During my final examination project, I have been working with a design process to develop a new set of candle lanterns for the company Sagaform AB. This company has a large and significant role on the Swedish interior design and retail market. The assignment was developed when the company stated that they would like to supplement and expand its existing range of products. The research and surveys I have done have helped me to create eight different concepts and one of them ready to compete with the existing candle lanterns on the market. The result of my concept proposal expected to be included in Sagaform?s 2013 spring catalogue. During the project I have developed 3D-rendered images, a physical model, and a solid foundation for making prototypes. The Balloon has an attractive design language that fits both every day and more festive events.

The case study we conducted describes market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV. The purpose of this study is to find out what hinders potential entrants from entering the market as well as to discuss possible competitive strategies for potential entrants. Our conclusion is that even though the market for transmission of terrestrial digital TV can be viewed as attractive due to its fast growth, there are barriers to entry that block companies we identified as potential entrants from entering the market. The industry experience of the current market players (Teracom and Boxer) along with their knowledge of the consumers and the fact that Teracom is a multi-business company are some of the factors to be taken into consideration. Switching costs is the most important barrier to entry for the industry.
