In a globalized world, competitiveness is based on the high IP (intellectual property) of our export products and innovations are therefore important for new companies to establish and develop. It´s not enough to just have big international companies but it is also necessary to invest in new companies that can be competitive in the future. By helping entrepreneurs with innovation support in the early stages, new technology-based businesses are established and developed. The purpose of this paper was to examine how innovation support in the early stages affects the establishment and development of new technology-based companies. Furthermore, we investigated how this will affect Sweden's international competitiveness.

This study is made on assignment by the local board of forestry in Skåne, Blekinge and Halland. The change of the forest law 1994 brought a new type of management plan. A more active planning was introduced in order to equate the environment goal with the production goal. The purpose with this study is to give a better picture of how planning for nature conservation in production forest is made and to develop support for selection of silviculture methods for stands with combined goals. With combined goals means production forestry with a reinforced consideration to both nature and culture, called PF-classified stands. This was done by: ? Describing silviculture models from the literature that are possible to use for stands with combined goals. ? Describing silviculture models that is used in practice in stands with combined goals. ? Describing how the classification of stands with combined goals is used. Which means, were in the terrain, with which frequency and in which type of forest PF-classification is used. ? Comparing differences and similarities of theoretical and practical used models. The study was done partly as a literature study and partly as an interview study of forest planners.

Den här rapporten presenterar processen och resultatet av mitt examesarbete i Industridesign på bachelor-nivå vid Umeå Institute of Design. Projektet har handlat om att ta fram ett koncept för att ladda mobiltelefoner i offentliga miljöer som flygplatser och tågstationer. Tänk dig in i scenariot att du är på flygplatsen, ditt flyg är försenat, du har slut på batteri i mobiltelefonen, du har glömt laddaren till telefonen hemma och du är dålig på att komma ihåg telefonnummer. Du ska träffa den du älskar när flyget landar, hur ska du lyckas med detta?Genom att använda mig av en kreativ designprocess har jag lyckats lösa problemet för framtida användare samt tillmötesgått önskemål från min samarbetspartner. Projektet genomfördes under vårterminen 2013 och resulterade i en fullskalemodell, muntlig presentation, diskussion, argumentation och den här rapporten..

The fishing port of Bläsinge is located on the east coast of Öland, Sweden?s second largest island. Today the port has a limited supply of freshwater. The economic association of the fishing port wants to expand their business, so that they will also include tourist services. To do this the harbor will need a more independant source of freshwater, with a higher quality than the present well.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om den nya tilldelningsmodellen ha lett till de effekter man önskade uppnå med det förändrade systemet. Avsikten är också att i de fall effekterna inte uppnåtts finna förklaringar till detta. Metod: Jag har gjort en fallstudie av Blekinge Tekniska Högskola. Personliga samtal och insamlat internt material har tillsammans med teorin legat till grund för slutsatserna. Slutsats: De önskade effekterna har inte i helhet uppnåtts.

Tobii Technology AB is a global leading company in eye tracking. The technology is a part of acomputer screen called an eye tracker. It enables computers to follow eye movement whichfurther make it possible to control the computer by only using your eyes.The mission was to develop an arcade game for eye controlled games that Tobii can use in theirmarketing or as a tool when doing researches about the interest in the technology amongst gamecompanies. The product realization involved designing an innovative, functional and futuristiccase which gathered the existing hardware and software to build the final prototype. In order toattract users it was important to focus on the visual expressions.Initially, the project started off with an information retrieval which contained interviews, fieldstudies, tests and literature studies.

Sedan skall vi bestämma om teorier av ett Community företag stämmer med ett verkligt Community. Metod: Kvalitativ datainsamling för den teoretiska delen och frågeformulär för den empiriska undersökningen. Slutsats: Vi fann att skillnaderna i vad teorierna säger om Communitys och ett riktigt Community inte är stora utan man tar till sig de strategier som teorierna beskriver.

New methods and new programming languages make system development easier. As new technology breaks ground and the demands of a company?s information system grow, the company will sooner or later get to a point where a change in the base of the system is necessary.

For the success of universities, it is very important that the personnel are well motivated through internal marketing. The purpose of this report was to identify which activities universities uses to motivate their teaching and researching personnel and how the activities are valued by this group of employees. The study was conducted in the form of a case study. One interview with the chief administrator at Luleå University of Technology was conducted, and a questionnaire was sent to all the teaching and researching personnel at the same university. The result indicates that Luleå University of Technology uses many internal marketing activities to motivate their employees.

Från och med 1:a januari 2015 börjar den nya F-gasförordningen, EU/517/2014, att gälla. Detta innebär att läcksökningsintervall kommer att ändras och att gamla köldmedium fasas ut och ersätts av nya. Syftet med arbetet var att ta reda på hur kylbranschen drabbas av den nya F-gasförordningen. För detta intervjuades tre representanter inom kylbranschen för att få deras syn på situationen. Ämnen som berördes var: Hur klara kylbranschen en eventuell ökad arbetsbörda, har entreprenörerna kunskapen som behövs inför framtiden, blir det ökade kostnader samt vilka de framtida köldmedierna kan tänkas bli? Sammanfattningsvis tror kylbranschen att de, efter utbildning, är väl förberedda och att det inte blir någon omfattande arbetsökning och att eventuella kostnadsökningar kommer främst hamna på brukaren. .

This study is primarily an account of my examination work in archival science which took place in the archive of Margareta Böttiger, the state epidemiologist at the Swedish Institute for Communicable Disease Control Stockholm. The records are from Böttigers period of work, mainly divided into three parts, polio, HIVS/AIDS and vaccination. Of these I have focused on polio with was the area she got renowned for. Moreover, owing to the uniqueness of the material this study has focused on the properties of the archive as a working-life archive which I propose as a special type of personal archive with unique attributes. To summarize, a working-life archive has in comparison with other personal archives a more fluid process of archiving where the profession is important, not the personal production of records.

Arbetes syfte är att resultera i ett planförslag för Pottholmen och svara på tre frågeställningar som behandlar översvämningsrisk, tillgången till offentliga och mer privata delar och möjligheten till ökad vattenkontakt. För att få en förståelse för Pottholmen har jag använt mig av metoden realistisk stadsanalys. Jag har även använt mig av Kevin Lynch begrepp för att kartera området. Resultatet av arbetet blev ett planförslag över ett nytt område som är intressant att röra sig genom tack vare användningen av Gordon Cullens teori om serial vision och som är uppbyggt av både offentliga, halvoffentliga och halvprivata rum enligt Jan Gehls teorier..
