Geotextildukar används idag som tillfällig kontroll av sedimentgrumling vid vattenarbeten. Syftet med examensarbetet är att ge ökad kunskap kring olika geotextildukars genomsläpplighet med avseende på suspenderat material, PAH (Polycykliska aromatiska kolväten) och kvicksilver vid suspension av sediment från Karlbergskanalen. Detta har gjorts genom en laboration. Resultaten visar att det inom några minuter bildas en filterkaka på de tre undersökta dukarna. Dukarna blir täta då de utsätts för finpartikulärt suspenderat sediment med koncentrationen 57 g/l hämtat från Karlbergskanalen.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur viktigt bygg och konstruktion är i förskolan och hur man kan arbeta med det som en kreativ process. I läroplanen Lpfö -98 står det att barn ska få möjlighet till att vara kreativa på olika sätt, vilket även innebär genom att få konstruera och utnyttja material och tekniker. För att skapa en plats för detta behöver det inte kosta så mycket pengar och man behöver inte så stora utrymmen menar Mylesand (2007), engagerade pedagoger är det viktigaste och att materialet som finns att arbeta med väcker nyfikenhet hos barnen.Metoden har varit att forska i litteratur och praktisk utveckla en bygghörna på en förskolas utegård. Genom att barn får möjlighet att bygga och konstruera ute kan de bygga i större dimensioner och kan använda större material som Tragton(1996) menar är bra för barn som växer, detta kan kopplas till strävansmål som finns i läroplanen som säger att barn ska utveckla sin motoriska och koordinations förmåga..

Dagens filterkrav för gruvdammar är svåra att uppfylla praktiskt med krossade material och det finns ett intresse hos gruvindustrin att använda sig av det krossade material som de producerar, vilket är fördelaktigt både ur ekonomisk och ur miljömässig synpunkt. Industrins riktlinjer som hittas i GruvRIDAS har till stor del baserats på naturliga material och för konstruktionen av vattenkraftdammar. En ökad kunskap om de krossade materialen är viktig för deras användning som filter. För att bidra till en ökad kunskap har i det här examensarbetet krossade och naturliga filtermaterial jämförts. Resultatet har tillämpats på befintliga filterkrav för att undersöka konsekvenserna.

Syftet är att beskriva ett projekt inom Entertainment och identifiera dess Key Success Factors. En fallstudie gjordes av privatteaterproduktionen HippHipp! [paw rihk-titt] som gavs i Lund 2003-2004. I en induktiv studie genomfördes nio stycken intervjuer som resulterade i ett empiriskt material. Detta material analyserades och relaterades till teorier om projektledning (Briner m fl), adhocrati (Mintzberg), Key Success Factors (Grant) och Experience Economy (Pine & Gilmore). Studien beskriver ett framgångsrikt projekt inom Entertainment och förklarar framgången med projektet genom att presentera sex stycken Key Success Factors.

This bachelor thesis explores how librarians are portrayed in fiction literature. The aim is to see how the librarian and their work tasks are described. Our material consists of 12 fiction novels from the years 2000 to 2012 (with an exception of a book from 1998). We have used discourse analysis in order to examine the picture of the librarian.We have used three major questions: How is the librarian portrayed in our selected fiction literature from year 2000 until today (the beginning of 2013)? How are the librarians profession portrayed in our selected fiction literature? Does our selection of the fiction literature give a positive or negative image of the librarianand how can that affect the view of the profession?Our analysis resulted in the discourses the librarian and literature and the librarian and the library.

This Master thesis has been carried out at Scania CV AB in Södertälje, in collaboration withKTH, The Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. The focus of this Master thesis isSetBased Concurrent Engineering(SBCE), with the purpose of answering the questions: what isSBCE, how does it work, and for what purposes is it applied.It was early established thatSBCE is often included as a part of Lean product development,which in its turn is often related to Toyota?s way of working. TheSBCE method includesworking with multiple solutions in parallel, eliminating weak alternatives throughout thewhole process. In opposite to a conventional product development process, where it iscommon one at an early stage tries to identify and choose the most promising alternative.Despite the appearance ofSBCE as a resource consuming method, figures from Toyotaindicates the opposite, thatSBCE is in fact a very effective way of working compared to othermore traditional methods.The process of this Master thesis was divided into three phases.

In February 2005, a collection predominantly containing medieval ballads was found in the library of Växjö. The collectors were mainly George Stephens, originally from Scotland, and Gunnar Olof Hyltén-Cavallius, both active in Småland in the nineteenth century. In connection with an intital inventory of the material, Magnus Gustafsson, ethnomusicologist at Smålands Musikarkiv, marked ballads of uncertain origin with a question mark.The purpose of this essay is to investigate 22 of these marked ballads. To be able to compare them with other material we have developed a method to identify differences. By means of the method both the text and the melody are compared and in addition the differences in terms of quality and quantity are assessed.

Trioplanex International AB is a part of the group Trioplast Industrier AB, which produces packaging materials for the film and hygiene industry. The group is active throughout Europe, where most of the production is located in Sweden, with head office in Smålandsstenar. Operations in Landskrona consist of Trioplanex International AB and Trioplast Landskrona.Semi-finished articles consisting of paper cores, so called bobbins, give rise to a high amount of core waste in any form of core cutting. The objective of the report is to map out all core waste and illustrate the material flow with regard to present layout and equipment.In the beginning of the project an analysis of the current process was carried out with focus on the cutting equipment. A case study in the form of an improvement work took place in order to reduce the causes which had the biggest impact on existing machinery.Improvement proposals were discussed by the author together with supervisor, assigner and other parties involved.

Renheten hos brännbart avfall/restavfall från hushåll skiljer sig mellan olika insamlingssystem. Det är av stor vikt att så mycket material som möjligt kan utsorteras och återvinnas. Olika insamlingssystem för hushållsavfall kan delas in i enkärlssystem med fraktionen brännbart avfall/restavfall, tvåfackssystem med brännbart samt möjlighet att sortera ut matavfall, och fyrfackskärl där brännbart, matavfall samt fler fraktioner kan utsorteras. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka renheten hos restavfallet vid olika hushållsnära insamlingssystem. Skillnader i renhet/andel felsorterat material i det brännbara avfallet/restavfallet från de olika systemen studerades och jämfördes baserat på befintliga plockanalyser som visar innehållet i avfallet.

The Swedish geographer Gerd Enequist (1903-1989) left behind great amounts of private and work material when she passed away. This was donated to the University Library of Uppsala, Carolina Rediviva, in three different accessions. This resulted in three different record. The subject of this report is the progress of assembling these record into one complete record.The registering led to many important decisions such as the role of provenance and the relation of private and public documents. Above all the special nature of personal archives have been a topic of discussion.

Gambling about money is a frequent phenomenon in our modern community?s. The gambling has for some people resulted in a compulsive gambling. These consequences affects not only the gambler but also have impact on his or hers relatives. The purpose of this study is to describe how a small selection off relatives to persons with a compulsive gambling experience the gambling consequences in there life.

The study?s purpose was to gain comprehension and knowledge about immigrate women?s vision on benefits respective disadvantages with arranged marriages.The study?s question at issues was:(1) How do the women consider that the ideal marriage is suppose to be?(2) How do the women experience that their vision on marriage has changed in a new culture?(3) How do the women consider that parents reasons, around the choice of a partner at arranged marriages?To be able to answer these questions at issues we used a qualitative method where interviews carried out with four immigrated women from four different countries where Islam is widespread religion. Common for these women is that they all are Muslims and that they come from countries where arranged marriages are practiced. They also have concrete experience of arranged marriages, either through themselves or someone they know.Material from interviews was analysed with a help of patriarchal theory and social constructivism. We have also analysed the material with a theory about culture and a theory about groups.

Analysen syftar till att undersöka om den sociala kontexten spelar in i barnens uppfattningar om och omkring dagstidningar.Huvudresultat: Vårt resultat pekar på att förskolebarn har en god kunskap omdagstidningen, trots att de själva inte kan läsa tidningen. Förskolebarn kan förstå begreppet nyheter, trots att detta kräver enrelativt hög abstraktionsnivå. Vi upplever oss finna en skillnad i antalet prenumeranter beroende på vilken skola barnen tillhör, vihittar dock ingen nämnbar skillnad inom barnens definition av dagstidningen.
