In 1994 it was decided that a new network based organizational model was to be initiated to face the problems of some of the gender inequalities in Sweden. The organisation structure was named Resource Centre for Women (ResursCentrum för kvinnor).This essay constitutes a qualitative case study of governing, with this organisation structure as my field of inquiry. My ambition has been to outline and explain what kind of governing has been used and how it works. I have also tried to identify potential changes of the ways of governing over time. To help me out with that task, I have applied a theoretical framework, characterized of a governance perspective, and have used terms as: governing with networks, partnership, projects and visionary government to interpret my empiric material.My result shows that there have been various changes in the ways of governing, from a more hierarchal government form of governing to a more governance based one..

De senaste åren har marknaden för surfplattor växt massivt samtidigt som Smart-TV?s har kommit fram som en ny produktkategori. Detta arbete är en undersökningen i hur surfplattor tillsammans med Smart-TV kan användas för att skapa en bättre upplevelse för användaren. För detta utvecklades en applikation på en LG Smart TV som sammankopplades med en surfplatta för att visa information om ett pokerspel. Sedan utfördes en undersökning med intervjuer där hybridapplikationen jämfördes gentemot att bara spela på surfplattan.

Syftet med denna uppsats var att genom kvalitativa djupintervjuer av chefer och medarbetare studera, beskriva och förstå fenomenet utvecklingssamtal. Undersökningen genomfördes i en medelstor svensk försvarsindustri enligt en fenomenologiskt inspirerarad metodik. För att analysera studiens resultat utvecklades ett teoretiskt ramverk baserat på förväntansteori, moderna psykologiskakontraktoch Maslows behovshierarki. Studien visade att utvecklingssamtal fyller flera behov och har potential att öka medarbetarnas trivsel, engagemang och motivation. På motsvarande sätt kan dock utvecklingssamtal även skapa missnöje och sänka motivation om dess resultat upplevs som ett brott mot de informella psykologiska kontrakt som återfinns på arbetsplatsen.

Fiskeby Board AB har investerat i ett nytt anaerobt reningssteg som ska minska företagets utsläpp och som en positiv bieffekt producera biogas. Syftet med arbetet är att presentera åtgärdsförslag som kan förbättra kvalitén på Fiskebys processavloppsvatten då det ska användas som inflöde till det nya anaeroba reningssteget vars krav processavloppsvattnet inte uppfyller idag. Åtgärdsförslagen ska medföra en ökad temperatur på Fiskebys processavloppsvatten samt en minskad mängd suspenderade ämnen i processavloppsvattnet. För att åstadkomma dessa åtgärdsförslag har mätningar, beräkningar, intervjuer och diskussioner med personal, en litteraturstudie, kartläggning av Fiskebys vatten etc. genomförts.

In the process of globalization, identity has become one of the central factors.An understanding of the difference that makes up our society has made thequestion of weather is it possible to envision a society where difference is thecommon ground, one that has been up for contest. To answer this we need to seeif this kind of democracy is possible at all. For this I?m turning to the socialmovments who while they are working close to the reality also can give us somereal answers. Therefore I have looked at how social movements adress identity,difference and conflict and concluded that three things are crucial in organizing ongrounds of difference.

In this thesis I'm trying to examine the meaning potential of visual elements and layout in a Swedish newspaper front page and the same newspaper's website's start page, drawing on theories about multimodality and social semiotics developed mainly by Theo van Leeuwen and Gunther Kress. The study is focusing on Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and the website aftonbladet.se and compares these three different days. In this thesis I also try to examine what the newspaper communicate about its identity through the different visual components. My conclusion is that visual elements and layout have a great importance regarding what a newspaper communicate about how the news articles should be read, but what can be said about a company's identity mostly depend on the genre the newspaper belongs to and how well the reader knows that particular genre..

It may seem obvious that the urban space in our northern cities should be design to function and inspire throughout the whole year. This is not always the case. The urban space is often designed on a summer basis and the winter is regarded more as a problem then a resource and its potential remain unused. I have in this master thesis studied the impact of the winter on people and spaces and ponder on how to design functional and attractive places for winter. The project ends in a design concept for Broparken in Umeå on the theme "everyday winter day". The work with this thesis has given me, as a landscape architect, valuable experiences and filled a gap of knowledge that I had in this subject. I hope that this thesis can inspire Umeå kommun and others who are interested in how northern cities can benefit by its climate and develop towards a more complete city. The thesis begins with a chapter that present the subject from four different perspectives.

Den här studien handlar om hur surfplattor används på förskolor. Syftet med undersökningen är att få insikt i hur pedagogerna på förskolorna integrerar surfplattorna för att främja och utveckla barns lärande. Det är en studie med kvalitativt metodval, där observationer och intervjuer har varit metoder för att samla in mitt empiriska material. Studien är gjord på två förskolor med sammanlagt sex pedagoger. Det empiriska materialet analyseras utifrån teorier kring implementering av teknik i förskolan med hjälp av begreppen innehållskunskap, didaktisk kunskap och teknisk kunskap.

Att gräva där man står är en kvalitativ och hermeneutisk studie som undersöker vad utövare av de förtrycktas teater har för målsättningar och vad de vill förändra. Intervjuer ifrån åtta utövare/teatergrupper i Brasilien och Argentina kategoriseras i resultatdelen utifrån sex olika målsättningar: skapa forum, politisk förändring, att gräva där man står, anpassning och terapi,personlig utveckling, styrkan i att arbeta i grupp. Vidare presenteras två olika nivåer som utövarna verkar på: en samhällelig och en individuell nivå. Metodens potential att förändra och utövarnas målsättningar förstås sedan i tolkningsdelen med hjälp av forskning på området som tar sitt avstamp i Marx och Bourdieus teoretiska ramverk. This thesis is an attempt to shed light on how the authors of the Swedish Government Official Report, SoU 1999:83, speak about how the globalization affects democracy. The method used is critical discourse analysis and ideological analysis, with the main emphasis on the former. The results of the analysis are then interpreted with central parts of Jürgen Habermas? The theory of communicative action. One of the main conclusions is that an absolute majority of the authors, talk about how the globalization affects democracy in terms of the economic market and the European union.

The aim of the study is to analyse the stories of four homosexual women with Muslim backgrounds about coming out as homosexuals, from an intersectional perspective. The experience of coming out as lesbian and the intersectionality are related to different social contexts. The homosexuality becomes a problem in connection to family and countrymen while the Muslim background becomes more of a problem in relationships. Heteronormativity and gender system appear to be cooperating systems of oppression.These women don?t describe themselves as oppressed, but potential oppression is still something that influences their lives.

The interest for wind power has increased in Sweden. Northern Sweden is especially interesting due to that a new wind resource map shows that there are areas in northern Sweden that have more potential for wind power than what have been known before. Therefore E.ON Vind is interested in finding out if, and where, there are suitable places for establishment of wind power in northern Sweden. The purpose of this master thesis is therefore to perform an inventory of northern Sweden for suitable places for wind power. The master thesis is performed at E.ON Vinds office at Vasagatan in Stockholm.

För att få ett småhus Svanenmärkt krävs att 50 obligatoriska kriterier uppfylls, samt att bland 8 poänggivande kriterier erhålla 23 poäng. Rapporten är gjord som en fallstudie på ModernaHusprojektet Söderberg 3 i Kristianstad. Analysen utfördes i två delar.
