Moldova is one of Europe?s poorest countries with a struggling business environment and an unpredictable political situation. The purpose of this thesis is to understand the implications of corruptions and why networks have come to play a key role in the Moldovan culture and if the formations of network are due to heritage or an effect of functionalism. The focus of the study is also to explain how the networks develop and the formation and maintenance of loyalty and trust among the members of the network. The study is of a qualitative nature that uses a key informant sampling method to get access to members of different business networks.

This essay examines the debate that arose in connection to the sale of Carl Larsson?s monumental painting Midvinterblot in 1987. My main purpose is to examine which meanings the debaters ascribed Midvinterblot and in which way the debate influenced the paintings significance as cultural heritage. I will therefore argue that the debate initiated a renegotitation of the paintings meaning as cultural heritage. In the debate the debaters emphasized the National Museum?s responsibility over cultural heritage, Midvinterblots aestethic, the paintings economic value and its national implications.

Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka om DN:s och SVT:s medierapportering kring den väpnade konflikten som ägde rum mellan Georgien och Ryssland över utbrytarregionerna Abchazien och Sydossetien i augusti 2008, har uppfyllt de krav på mångsidighet och objektivitet som förväntas av svenska medier utifrån de åtagangen som medierna har tagit. Vår studie baseras på kvalitativa metoder i form av en kritisk diskursanalys av fem artiklar i DN och fem nyhetsinslag från SVT:s Aktuellt utifrån mistankens hermeneutik. Våra analyser visade att medierapportering har i många fall inte uppfyllt de krav på mångsidighet som exempelvis SVT åläggs att förmedla genom Tillståndet att sända television. Även DN har i många fall utmålat Ryssland som den enda parten ansvarig för konflikten och dess resultat. Individen har i den här frågan inte fått all den in formation som behövs för att själv skapa sig en egen uppfattning om konflikten..

This is a life story about a man, Victor, and his life. He was born into a family of travellers, this has been a very important part of his upbringing, socializing and how society has viewed him.The purpose of this essay is to discuss how a society's values, and the changes in these values, are manifested in a life story. A person?s identity is created in the situations one is in and in the relationships with ones social contacts. A person has not just one, but several different identities that coexist and are highlighted depending on the situations in which we find ourselves.

Children who are exposed to crime are a delicate issue. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze children's narratives in the juridical process. Our primary questions focused on how adults could help children to express their experiences and what kind of elements imposed the narrative. How is the narrative structured? How does the court evaluate children's testimonies? What increases the credibility of a child's testimony? Our theoretical standpoints are derived from: the narrative perspective, theory of communication, and theory of evaluation.

This thesis has the overall objective to develop the optimum sealing system between the retarder and transmission. Today, there is a pressure-relief and two radial seals separation between the retarder and transmission. It has been found that carbon residue formation may occur between retarder axle and seal lips with, in some cases, leakage as a result.We have in this thesis tried to explain the phenomenon of carbon residue, how it is formed and why it can be seen just on the seals? A rig test was conducted where we show how friction, speed, transmission temperature and mitigation phases of the retarder affects temperatures in the sealing environment. Factors affecting the coke structure are reported, together with proposals for measures that provide a mitigating seal environment.

Jag argumenterar för att man inte kan förstå ?barnet? som sådant som mer än en diskursiv formation. Genom att analysera nyhetsfotografier och intervjuer med förskolepedagoger visar jag hur barnen de berättar om, beroende på i vilket sammanhang och till vilken geografisk plats det lokaliseras till, konstrueras olika som subjekt. De barn som knyts till bekönade platser som privata hem, förskola och vård befinner sig oftast inom välfärdens Sverige och kan tolkas som ?trygga?.

The Afghan war post 9/11 has become the source of multiple case studies. Recent studies suggest that variations in domestic support for deployment of troops in Afghanistan can be explained by means of the strategic narratives provided by the policymakers of the contributing state; a strong consistent narrative increases public support. Scholars recognize a Swedish catch-all narrative, which suggests weakens the narrative, thus raising the uncertainty among the public. This thesis investigates the projection of Swedish strategic narrative through elite Swedish newspapers. The content analysis reveals an inconsistency between the policymaker?s formation of the strategic narrative and the narrative projected by individual newspapers.

Denna studie syftar till att fördjupa förståelsen för skolsituationen hos elever i behov utav särskilt stöd, de elever som utgör diskussion i elevhälsoteam samt de elever som har någon form av diagnos. Studien antar en kvalitativ forskningsansats. Skolsituationen hos elever i behov utav särskilt stöd undersöks utifrån ett lärarperspektiv. Resultaten visar att elevernas identitetsskapande kännetecknas av individualitet. Centrala aspekter av elevernas identitetsskapande är vilken typ av svårigheter som eleven har och vilket stöd eleven får.

Den här uppsatsen har haft som syfte att undersöka hur fem unga transsexuella upplevt sin skoltid och hur detta har påverkat deras identitetsskapande. De tre frågeställningarna har varit:Hur har intervjupersonerna skapat sin könsöverskridande identitet i en skolkontext?Vilka är de praktiker och diskurser som de format och formar sina "jag" genom?Mot vilka diskurser, om några, gör de intervjuade personerna motstånd genom sitt identitetsskapande?Uppsatsen poängterar att forskning inom utbildningsvetenskap med koppling till sexualitets- och identitetspolitik är essentiellt för lärarutbildningens och läraryrkets utveckling. Det finns redan uttryckligen formulerat i styrdokumenten men verkligheten i verksamheten tycks se annorlunda ut. Skolan har ansvar för alla barn och unga som befinner sig i verksamheten.

This study investigates how tagging is being used in a new way when members of a Swedish dating site get to tag themselves in an act of self-presentation with the aim of meeting new people. In the study seven members of the dating site Mazily were interviewed about their self-presentation, tagging and identity formation there. The questions concerned how they formed their own tags, but also how they interpret and use other members' tags in their search for a potential partner.I have been using queer theories for this study, in order to find out what kind of norms and structures that lie behind and affect the members' behaviour on the website. My study finds that the interviewed members to a high degree reflect about both their own and other members tagging and self-presentations. Although they spend quite some time trying to analyse other people on the website they have a great sense of understanding that a person may give two very different impressions on the site and offline.

The purpose with this final thesis has been to study the aesthetics and design of roundabouts and to ascertain important factors that influence the experience of them. The investigation was carried out through literature-, field studies and interviews with persons that in different ways have participated in the formation of roundabouts. Furthermore, six roundabouts have been explored in more depth so that the survey would get a more practical link. These six roundabouts all occur in the rim of a city and do thereby have an important role as a gateway. The environments in such contexts are often complex which adds additional difficulty in achieving a visually appealing design, especially when taking into account the usually high traffic intensity.

Patienter som akut insjuknar i hjärtinfarkt drabbas ofta av problem efteråt. Ett sätt att reducera dessa problem är att ge patienten en god och relevant information, in-dividuellt anpassad till den enskilde patienten. Syftet med studien var att genom en systematisk litteraturöversikt undersöka informationens betydelse för hjärtpatienter i det akuta skedet och i den tidiga rehabiliteringsprocessen. Litteraturöversikten ba-serades på tre frågeställningar som utvecklats från syftet: vilken betydelse har in- formation för patentens välbefinnande, vilken information vill patienten ha eller inte ha och vad är av betydelse hur informationen ges. Studien genomfördes med en metod för systematisk litteraturöversikt som innebar systematisk sökning av lit-teratur i databaserna.

The aim of this report is to describe the deglaciation in an area on west Greenland in the vicinity of Kangerlussuaq. To do this, the geomorphological landforms were mapped by studying areal photographs and by a two week field study where key areas were examiend. The landforms were transferred to a map using ArcGis and each key area were interpreted.The majority of the geomorphological formations were formed during the last deglaciation and consists of morain ridges, kettle topography in both till and glacifluvium, glacifluvial deltas, two fossil sandurs, and lateral terraces. Based on key areas and an inversion model a geomorphological map was created to illustrate the deglaciation, using the least complex explanation of the genesis of the landforms. The results show that the ice played a major role by damming lakes which enabled formation of many meltwater chanels and delta formations on higher elevations.

Background: Today, the environment of a company is characterized by quick changes like leaps of technology and market shifts. The problem is how this turbulent environment and an uncertain future affect how a company creates strategies and how its structure is adapted. Can a certain choice of strategies or a certain structure be a way of dealing with an changing environment? Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to explore if and how Banverket Telenät, as an example of a company in a turbulent business like the Swedish telecom industry, tries to deal with an uncertain future through strategy and structure. Procedure: We have carried through a qualitative case study with interviews and gathering of additional information concerning the business.
